Something is wrong with my trumpet. The sound on my trumpet has a nasal sound too it. This started when I sent my trumpet to be repaired. The trumpet was bent near the first valve slide. If anyone knows of a way to fix this please comment me.

Another possibility (though a very rare one) is if you remove the wood/cork pad of your water key, air will leak and you will get a similar effect where the trumpet sounds muffled and you can't hold a steady pitch. Some overtones may be unplayable. I once removed them from an old, neglected trumpet to refurbish and put it away to work on the next day. Silly mistake :P

Is it normal that in real life, my sound is clear and full, but if recorded (iPhone SE) it sounds false and forced; kinda like beginner although I’ve been playing for 6 years. And there are many people that have told me I play very nice, others than family too, so it’s hard to believe that I actually sound that bad.
