    The woman that bought a Velar and didn't service it is clealy at fault. LR products need to be serviced in a timely manner and sometimes before the recomended service intervals. Many people skip on service because its expensive and then sell the car on to someone once they start to see issues arise. Then that unlucky person has to deal with it. Just because you can afford to purchase the vehicle doesn't mean you can afford the up-keep

    • @caymanblack9567

    • @stop_lying_bro
      @stop_lying_bro Год назад +3

      @@caymanblack9567 Service is based on the miles driven and how it's driven. The manufacturer gives you an estimated amount of time between services but that doesn't mean that's what your car needs. When driven hard, a lot of city stop start and high or really cold temperatures it's best to do service more frequent. And it looks as if the woman didn't service the car at all. There is a chance that the damage isn't her fault but legally the manufacturer has the upper hand as it's a binding contract between you and them saying the vehicle will be serviced at these times at their or approved garages.

    What if the "unreliability" tag is used to gatekeep ownership? If it was as reliable as perhaps a land cruiser, it would be a very common car owned by every Tom, Dick and Harry. The claims of unreliability makes it an option for a very small clique of owners globally. No matter how unreliable it is tagged, it will still attract attention of the high end target market.

    RR's main problem is that they are a tiny company with only so much cash on hand for quality control. As such there are other, similarly complex machines from Lexus and the like that are vastly more reliable. Lexus, is of course, the luxury division of Toyota. The world's largest car maker with resources to spare for such.

    people who really buy range rover new dont give a fuck all they want is a car that looks nice and drive there rich enought that its just an applaince to them so long as the car last 5 years and 60k miles without to much hassle under warranty then its okay after that its the next guys problem plus most owner especialy here in asia who owns range rover have mutiple car plus drivers and staff to take care of the upkeep so each car well rarely see beyond 10k miles a year.

      Toyotas are boring! They are reliable because Toyota just keeps re-using old tech and drivetrains. And all vehicles with air suspension have these issues. It isn't Range Rover specific. Mercedes S class cars are not great reliability wise and their GL models has the same or not more issues than RR but costs even more to repair.

    Toyota is not offering something special thats why it break less. Lr is a luxury offroader. Its luxury heavily depend on electronic control.
    They can easily achieve good reliability just by removing air suspension. But this compromise luxury which is its moto.
