  • Installing my Dream turbo kit on my Evo X and reviewing how the install was. The ETS T3 turbo kit for the evo x paired with a 6266 precision turbo. I also review a few odds and ends of the turbo kit as well as future plans for the Evo X.

    I'm so hyped for you man, I've decided for next year I'm getting the ets t3 vband 6266 kit !! I believe speedcircuit has an XXL heat shield that claims to fit the ets turbo kits and for lines and strut bar, I know 25832 vibrant heat wrap is good from some of the lines around the manifold. What did you do with your coolant lines that originally go into the turbo? plug them or connect them to each other?

      I just pooped them with heater hose

      @@studentdriverrs1043 Ah alright, I was actually just looking at catch cans once you mentioned that stuff. I know Devin Niemela had dipstick issues. I have the radium dual catch can and decided on getting Maperformance catch can/coolant expansion kit! It's similar to driven fab but easier install and higher quality.

      Speed circuit are the truth, my X is tuned by them. Super cool guys

    I made the same mistake you did going with tpc stock location turbo and now running 3576r. Should have skipped that whole mess and went with the ets t4 kit. I guess in the near future I'll do it. Great video bud. Love the car.

    Definitely glad you back posting. ..alot of changes but its gonna be nice to compare numbers and how the turbos make power. The external wastegate is definitely better for more consistent boost pressure. The manifold you got is a good up grade as well. A stock frame turbo has its limitations and for the power level you want 650+ going with your current setup is the better option.

    you should ceramic coat your hotparts. it helped my setup so much and doesn't itch at all.

    I'm just seeing your vid, why did you install this kit setup with the twin wastegate. I'm presently having issues trying to tune mine. Built engine,6466 precision with a single wastegate manifold. I'm having boost cut and spike up to 27lbs. My tuner is suggesting a twin gate set up. Respect 🇯🇲

      Yeah ets learned long ago the single gate doesn’t regulate the boost well enough so you need a twin wastegate setup

    Hey man I’m hooking up the grimspeed boost controller atm. Do you know if the hose that comes off the bov connects to the nipple in the boost controller for the intake

    Sweet build though we’re you single 44 mm gate before ? Asking bc I’m 6266 top mount with a single 44 currently 😆

    What turbo setup did you have prior to the 6266?

    • @studentdriverrs1043
      @studentdriverrs1043  3 года назад

      Atp 3582 gen 2 with ets downpipe and map tubular manifold. We really had to push it hard to get that 600 which means more heat etc. plus spool sucked lol

  • @omarcruz1152

    why do you recommend staying away from that catch can setup? What issues is it having?

    • @studentdriverrs1043
      @studentdriverrs1043  3 года назад

      Anything above 500whp it doesn’t bleed off enough crank case pressure so I’d say get something that vents to atmo for better crank case pressure

      @Deckageskate666 3 года назад

      @@studentdriverrs1043 add the radium vents to your dual catch cans then. they do have that option.
