Glasgow boy every time I drive through glencoe it gets me emotional I don’t know what it is. It’s a feeling I can’t describe the rugged raw beauty it’s definitely my favourite place to be and such a happy place as I said it’s a feeling I can’t describe I’m sure many of you can relate to
Stunning, beautiful scenery, those mountains ... the river. We have something similar in parts of our country, and the Scots settled there too (our South Island). Greetings from New Zealand ♥♥♥
Fantastic Video wonderful scenery watching thinking to my self looking at my seventy year old legs how did I manage to walk in a day from Kingshouse to the shores of Loch Etive some thirty odd years ago on a Scottish Coast to Coast Walk Montrose to Oban that stretch looks an awful long way Thanks for posting 🙂
Excellent,we have a holiday booked in July,a week staying in Fort William then on for a second week staying at Kyle of Lochalsh so hope to do that drive. Thanks for sharing.
What a lovely video me and my wife love run up through glencoe got to be the best driver up there we have been lots of times. We are going up next year.
I have travelled this road to Glen Etive & it seems a lot longer than I expected it, but that was years & years ago, when I was on it years ago it seemed like just an hour then it came to a complete stop at Loch Etive.
Lovely video. We filmed a video like this and uploaded last week driving through Glencoe after coming back from Isle of Seil to Glasgow but I think you were luckier with the weather.🙂💙🏴🏔
@@coasttocoast23 Thank you, I would imagine it should be all white. But its good that the roads are all clear. maybe climate change is to blame. Best :)
There used to be a kilted piper who regularly played at the roadside near the Western end of Glencoe: I remember seeing him during childhood trips. The tradition was handed down to his son. Is there still a piper?
It’s a great experience but as you’ve said - Glen Etive is very very busy in the summer. However there is plenty space and I’m sure you’ll find a spot. Don’t forget the essentials. Forget a sleeping bag, food, water…. Take a midge net and repellent!😅 You’ll never survive it otherwise :)
@@coasttocoast23meaning the pot hikes only last half the road? First hand experience in the past three weeks tells me this was the worst road I drove on in Scotland after 1000+ miles of driving there over 14 days
@@coasttocoast23hi, it's a shame you and so MANY others miss out lovely Glen Orchy and the beautiful river waterfalls. One of many of BONNIE SCOTLANDS hidden gems that the hordes DON'T see!!!!.🏴👍👍🏴😎🏴🏴
@@neilanderson841 Hi Neil, If you check out my channel I have a video featuring a drive down beautiful Glen Orchy. It’s one of my favourites in Scotland, personally I prefer it over Glen Etive any day. Cheers, Liam
Sweet to see you uploaded a 4K my friend.. Perfect timing afternoon low light golden hour :)))) The mountains just shine :)🤓💯❤🩹🙏🤳Uncut with just a sweet tweek of exposure and contrast as you pass through shadow and direct light :)) softly softly with the gain and lift Perfect to preserve the cold of the day mood :)) I notice the Skyfall passing place has been resurfaced,, But still a good practice to jump out take the 007 photo and move on quickly as there will usually be a bit of a que of Bond fans waiting for their turn at the photo,
:) 👍I also shoot through my window screen . So I have to apply a green fix layer before I edit anything as my screen is tinted green from the factory. If you need to calibrate for the colour shift of your screen JUst put a white shirt on and stand in front of the car for twenty seconds so that your cameras white balance has chance to compensate. Also you can use the twenty seconds to apply the auto white balance colour dropper in your editing suite on the shirt before cutting it from the footage.. When the light changes as you drive pull over and do a white shirt white balance check. It saves so much frustration trying to work out why there's mud in your blacks. I also slow down passing traffic signs so i can use them as density cards for the blacks and whites correction later in editing.. :))) keep safe my friend and keep these films coming @@coasttocoast23 💯❤🩹🤓🙏🤳📸. also for a more realistic voice over try sitting in your car to record. Then you will lose the reverb generated by the acoustics of the room you record in. It will sound like you are narrating as you drive especially if you have your engine running as you narrate.. All good

Glen Etive is my "happy place". Tranquility in spades. The waterfalls are amazing and the rocks change colour up and down the river.
I drove this yesterday. They had roadworks here too would you believe it 🫠. It was great drive though and I walked around for a bit at Loch Etive.
Glad you enjoyed your trip up there. It’s a stunning Loch and Glen, albeit a bit too busy if you visit in the summer!

Thank you! :)
I drove this exact route in June 22 on my first visit to Scotland, and what a wonderful experience it was!!
It’s a lovely drive! Glad you had a wonderful time.
Absolutely wonderful. Puts me in mind of the road from Kinlochewe to Torridon. Thanks.
Thanks a lot! Appreciate it.

It goes on and on John. I forgot how long it was myself. It’s 45 mins minimum from the main road at Glencoe to the end at loch Etive
Pronounced. Glen Coe . Superb scenery. I will subscribe .
I’d love to see the trip from Arisaig, via Mallaig (hoping the little car ferry still runs), across to Ardvasar on Skye and up through the island.

Hello, great video, when was this filmed. Ive been a few times, i want to go in the winter sometime
Hi There,
Thank you :) It was filmed in February 2024. A Great time to visit and a lot quieter than the summer chaos. But take care on the roads.

Piper is still there Linda. During the summer months. The tourists love it :)
Beautiful drive. I noticed a couple wild camping en route. I would love to experience that but guess busy in the Summer ?

That's not Glencoe Village at the start of the video - that's Tigh Phuirt which is between Glencoe and Ballachulish.
Never heard of it
Yaaa. Be very careful and slow when driving on that road to Glen Etieve -- pot hole heaven.
It isn’t half Kevin.

Hi Chris around 15 miles from the main road to Loch Etive at the bottom
What time of the year was this?
Hi, this was filmed in late February
