Was here with a tour group in 1995!! Walked across the bridge! Got home to California, and shortly after that was reading a Harlequin Romance novel . . . written BEFORE there was a bridge!?!! Small, but beautiful world!!😁🤩
Passed through briefly in December 2019 for a bite at the Ballachulish hotel. Loved it so much we're going to stay there a couple of nights this coming December.
I remember going there with my son my sister and her partner and their kids,we got there quite late so all had an early night, when we woke up in the morning I will never forget my 4 yr old son saying where are we are we on the moon lol there was hills everywhere you looked, just amazing!! What a place 🏴👍
Mate, you've done exactly what I was looking for! Nice work! My Family are from Ballachulish, Glencoe Village, Fort William and Oban (on my Mum's side). Sadly those older people passed away many years ago. I remember fishing with my Granda before the bridge was built in Ballachulish; we moved more into Loch Leven then (at 3:22 on your video) I saw where me, my brother & cousins used to fish for the Mackeral then! It was just off the roundabout and off to a farm track........this was in the mid-eighties though mate. It was nice to see the pier there in Ballachulish and also 'The Pap' of Glencoe too. When I was a Kid we walked the dogs over the slate you see round that awful Isles of Glencoe Hotel; it wasn't there when I was a kid there, but things move on. The biggest annoyance is that Pier House (on the road from Glencoe village to Ballachulish was owned by my Family for over a hundred years and now it's a very expensive Guest House! Nevertheless, you've done a good Job here mate and I thank you
WoW! Thank you. A huge amount of history there. It's a magical place, no matter the weather, and as you say, it has changed, but there is nowhere like it.
Fantastic scenery.Thank you for sharing.I was in Ballachulish last summer.(Aug2024) tracing my ancestors steps. They lived in the north part of Ballachulish across the bridge at Onich. They lived at Cuilcheanna House. They were Mackenzies.
Like others it brings back memories !. This was Before the Bridge, was driving just about where the bridge is a Golden Eagle swooped in front of my car, when the bird saw the prey was too big, it turned and swerved away. I was left with a view of the golden beak of the bird and the whole underside with golden talons splayed. Now an OM and still remember this vivid display. Also the little ferries plying there trade between the whirlpools. Beautiful Scotland
Ballachulish is a beautiful place, I see this everyday, living in the bonnie Highlands of Kinlochleven, its such a magical place to live and see our beautiful country, I'm pure Scottish, great video,
Looks like low tide. The magic bridge shows well. Magic because in the Harry Potter film with the flying horses it dissapeared. Know the area from many visits for the SSDT. And we use to stop at the Loch Leven Hotel.

My favourite corner of Scotland. Stunning on a sunny summers day.
I agree. Hope it stays that way.

The Corries song ''The Portree Kid'' - he met up with a gambler from the Ballachulish Ferry! - check it out
Great video with amazing footage from my favorite country... Well done! Liked & subscribed! Keep it up! 👍
Now you realise why the Tories are desperate to keep Scotland as part of England ,sorry , the UK ! Glorious Scotland at its finest .
Gorgeous scenery. Music is repetitious but nice. Thanks.
Absolutely stunning
It reminds me a little bit of the Fjiord land in the South Island of New Zealand (Mitre peak).
Such wonderful
Climbed up onto the Ballahulish bridge when it was under construction as a teenager in about 1976😂
Hope you didn't get caught! 😂

You're right, it is a magical place, nowhere like it.
Hope it stays that way.
