Hopefully Master Duel will rectify that soon, cause there's still lots of great tracks to listen to! By the way, this change also applies to replays, but with the bgm settings set on your own field. Duelist Cup replays still use the first track, though.

while this update is peak I wish we could equip songs to fields The ritual song and the Ancient gear field are permanent associated to me since it was my first "real game" (finished my first deck) on Masterduel (day 1) facing an Ancient gear deck with Monarchs. And there's also the issue of theme 11 not having a field yet... and how foreign capital and swoso could swap themes amd still fit or how OST 14 and skyscraper would fit perfectly in Vendread or the Lava field if you're on Monarchs etc
When I dueled with the Cyber Universe field in the World Legacy story final duel it used a completely different theme. And at that time the field itself wasn't even out yet because I tried to find it afterwards lol
For me the BGM#16 is the best theme in MD, it's so deep and melancholic but obviously Komoney reserves it for the field where you have to spend the most gems, at least we have it in our playlist.😄

i wish they could do the random duel fields, so we can enjoy the music randomly instead of stick to 1 music in 10 duels, since we are not gonna swap deck often.

Choose listen the opponent sides on settings, your battle BGM will change based on what opponent field.
