luv The Dolphin. for a splurge trip get the deluxe king with theme park view. there are two balconies looking out at Spaceship Earth. we watched Harmonious then the beautiful icon lights in our pj's sipping a milk shake from The Fountain. wonderful
I always enjoy your coverage and reviews. Again, very thorough as usual and I love that. We love staying here. We have stayed here with a group of 5 and did a joining lock off room (a 2 bedroom) with a living room between the bedrooms. It was perfect for our family. It cannot be beat for the price when you consider the amenities and especially the location. Well said on the Bonvoy points. Great hack. And if you don’t love how they do the busses, which is new, you can always do a split stay and use this resort for your HS and Epcot days. Switch to a more “Disney” property for better bus access to AK and MK. We had a king bed at the Dolphin and found it extremely comfortable. Can’t say enough great things about this resort considering the price and location.
Hi we Just watched your review on the Dolphin at WDW . We all really enjoyed your video it was straight to the point and so very helpful . We are staying here for the first time this October. We normally stay at WDW resort hotel ,but fancied a change . Great work on your channel . Richard from UK
I stayed at the dolphin two weeks ago. My family and I tried Shula’s for the first time. It was good, I was expecting to be wowed. It fell short for us unfortunately. We felt that Ruth’s Chris offers much better steak and sides for the the same price. What the food lacked, the service made up for ten fold. If you go, ask for Tyler he was phenomenal. We also ate breakfast at the Mediterranean buffet. The food and service was great! Would definitely recommend. Bluezoo was great, I would recommend them as well. All in all our experience at the resort was awesome!
I bring a surge protection power strip which can add anywhere from 3 to 6 extra outlets into a room. I even recently upgraded to one that has 4 USB ports in it so there are ways of getting around not enough outlets in a room.
I can’t wait to stay here! A little odd that its two double beds but that’s not a problem for me. I LOVE that you explain the layout of the hotel, and transportation options. I find these extremely useful! Thanks for a wonderful review.
So much explained that I have not learned from other videos. We are interested to see the price difference between these rooms compared to Disney's deluxe. So happy you have pointed out how things are confusing
Thank you for another amazing tour. I agree about the number of outlets, 😮 shocking! It is nice they provide complimentary water.👍🏼 Quick question- did they charge for internet in the room?
It is free internet just like at all disney resorts! But they do have an option to pay for faster internet, but it actually didn’t work for me and they refunded me the charge.
My sadness over the lack of outlets was changed into excitement because a new graphic had to be created for the Outlet Sitch. I have never stayed at the Swan and Dolphin, and I'm not sure if there's a cast member discount. I always get a better deal at the WDW hotels. I appreciate Michel Eisner's desire to build a ton of new resorts in the 80s and 90s to keep guests on property. I remember seeing these hotels for the first time going down World Drive and I went "WOW!"
Like you said...sometimes youre in your room so much, so the extras...(view, balcony blah blah) maybe arent worth it. I think it all depends on your personality and the kinds of things you enjoy. I have stayed here over 20x, so Its more about the experience. I ALWAYS get a room with a balcony preferebly facing EPCOT ( because of the fireworks) Its nice waking early and bringing up breakfast and eating it out there or just coffee. Thanks for the video!
Very informative! I’ve been thinking about Swan/Dolphin for years! Now that wdw has increased room rates to absurd levels I will give them a try. When did they stop using wdw busses? That’s the one thing I don’t like. Having to go to the off site bus lot. I guess Uber is an option!
I’m not sure when they started doing the buses like this, but Animal Kingdom, it’s really no difference. And you have the boat service to epcot and Hollywood studios. So if you don’t want to be on the far side of Disney Springs or go to the TTC then yes Uber or walk over to yacht club and use their bus!
Thanks for the tour Demi! The Resort looks great but the room could use some work. With Shula's do you need a reservation and also is there a dress code?

Nice review. For rooms that are of premium price shouldn’t have left over stuff in the fridge, makes cleaning sus. I Bed size should be improved, along with outlets.
@@MagicalHijinx thanks yes I did call the Hotel after your video it went up to 40 a day resort fee and 32 for parking. We was going to book a room but an extra 72 per day is crazy, so still looking. Thanks for the info.
Ok so I just stayed there this past week and it was a beautiful hotel. The Rosa Mexicana restaurant was DELICIOUS! The beds were too hard for me and the pillows sunk in crazy but that was my only complaint. The pools and property were gorgeous! Was worth it I just wish the beds were comfy.
Yes they do offer king beds! As you saw the rooms are meh and need upgrading but if it seems good enough for you, then yes I absolutely do! Being this close to two parks is the best! Plus the hotel is beautiful and cheaper than the surrounding hotels. I would recommend walking over to yacht club and use their bus to go to magic kingdom.
You don’t need to have any theme park reservations, or tickets bought to go to a theme park, to stay at this resort or any Disney resort. You can stay here, dine at the restaurants here/make dining reservations on the my Disney experience app to dine here or any Disney resort restaurant, or just visit and walk around this or any Disney resort! You do not have to go to the theme parks, in fact, many people don’t! Same goes for the Universal hotels. You do not need to have a ticket for the theme parks to stay at their hotels.
Hi were from the uk and staying on i drive for 2 weeks in may, but im finking of booking a hotel close to Disney the last 4 of our holiday, have narrowed it down to this or the pop century this is around $400 more thou What do you recommend Thanks👍
Both are great options, it really depends on your budget, if you want more of a Disney bubble environment, if walkability is a higher priority, if you want to be on the skyliner, it’s really up to you! But both are great options!
Howdy from down under! 👋 I’m watching your video all the way from Melbourne, Australia- and I’m in the middle of planning my trip to the USA in 2023 (to enjoy life again after 2 years of all these damn COVID-19 lockdowns! 😡). I’m planning on spending 2 weeks at Disney world to explore the parks (I will be on a solo trip) and was intending to stay at the dolphin resort (to stay on Disney property without the big price jump to the Disney hotels). Your video is so good and it’s inspired me to book this hotel for March, 2023! I love walking so the proximity to Epcot and Hollywood studios is perfect - as is the great bars and restaurants in the complex! This was so informative so thank you! 👍 Would you have any other tips for a solo traveller from Australia visiting Disney world? 🙂
Wow so exciting! So I’m always at Disney solo creating these videos as I travel from New York to create them. I don’t really find differences doing Disney differently. The best part is that you can just do what you want! I also bring my headphones to listen to podcasts while standing in lines and while dining solo. I always make sure I let someone know my general itinerary. I never let anyone know I’m alone, especially an Uber, always say I’m meeting someone. And use your phone camera timer and prop up your phone on a classic Disney trash can 😅 for great photos! Definitely check out some other videos I have for planning your trip and I hope you have the best time ever!
Great review.. I def wont stay here cuz its way too sterile looking with not being owned by Disney.... but great tour. I do have a spa booked for my wife here in nov lol
So if you book on Expedia, will you still be able to get the My Disney Benefit benefits and be able to link your reservation? Also do you get Marriot points if you book through Disney or Expedia?
Unpopular Opinion: I hated the Dolphin Resort when we stayed in February 2022. The rooms and hallways are in need of a serious refurb. There was a faint smell of food in the hallways and not in a good way. The Fountian Restaurant was filthy to the point that my appetite was spoiled. The hotel overall is insanely beautiful and the amenities are unmatched. I just wish they would apply the same level of care to the rooms.
Thanks for your feedback. However, it’s very easy to google how much a night costs in the resort, but not so easy to google all the very in depth information I provided throughout this entire video and first hand feedback on the good, the bad, the luxury, and the very dated parts of the resort. Also, you could have just nicely asked here in the comments. $269.59 for the night 😌
@@MagicalHijinx good to keep in mind the major points viewers want for successful viewership. For a DW vacation, a hotel price per night is right near the top. Less closeups of soap and the inside of drawers would be a smart change. But getting through the 40 days and 40 nites in the desert was really the plug rant. Whew.
Staying here this weekend! We’re doing studios and Epcot. Can’t wait to enjoy that pool!
