Hi Dr. Davis, I struggle with the IJ teaching, and see very little importance of when it starts (i.e. 1844), but I do see clear evidence of a judgement. The book of Revelation is clear that there is a judgement taking place and it appears to be happening before Christ returns. Do you agree that there will be a judgement? That all will be judged? Hi Tracy. As you move thru the videos, I’ll answer your questions. In short, there is indeed a judgment. Also, the so-called heavenly sanctuary is Heaven itself. Further, all will indeed be judged and saved by the same act, and yes, it’s prior to the second advent.

@michaelbrutsche75 That’s a good question, which Paul answers. He said *priests* go into and thru the first; only *high priests* go into and thru the second. In this statement, Paul is stating this is exactly what Jesus did upon His ascension.
Dr Davis for your question regarding what was Jesus doing before 1844. Please ask yourself what was the priest doing the whole year before he went to the most holy place on the 10th day of the 7th month. Why did God gave us the Tabernacle on earth.
Our God tells us in 1Thessa. 5:19-21, Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. We are further told in Isa.8:20, To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there's no light in them. Dr. Davis please explain for us Dan.7:9-14. Hi, just wondering why God have an investigative judgment? Maybe, not that He needs to investigate, but for the sake of Other beings. 1 Corinthians 4:9 for example?
There are several schools of thought re: this idea, as to why it might be necessary. My concern is, for those who believe the external agencies have to see it lends itself to not trusting God's judgment. The very fact, we have Jesus' sacrifice on the cross is evidence enough of what God did both to save us and to demonstrate His justice and mercy. The passage you shared from 1 Cor 4:9 must be read in its context, and not in isolation, as many SDAs (and other Christians) are want to do. BOTTOM LINE: No IJ is necessary because God demonstrated everything at the cross. He provided a solution to the sin problem.

For the sincere ones coming in here seeking the truth. First off I just want to say to those who are coming here because they always had questions about the I.J (Investigative Judgement), that this topic is presented on this channel by an ex-sda so this is probably not the best place to learn of our position, (I'm an SDA). As I explained on Myles similar channel this topic is very controversial and to think I or the Dr. D. can convince you here with our words is not my goal or belief. I'm here simply to point you in the right direction on where we (SDA) stand on this position. @ 15:12 He says heres an interesting point to consider. Then he references Acts 7:56 saying its pivotal and he ask "doing what" @ 15:37 saying exactly what the Paul tells us in the book of Hebrews. Sounds like a stretch to me. But HEB 6:19 is used to say that Jesus went straight to the most holy "within the veil" at His ascension. See the confusion here? For the sake of saving me time and space I will cite these.... "Ford [Desmond Ford] saw the imagery of ‘within the veil’ and ‘entrance into heaven’ in the book of Hebrews as pointing to the cross and ascension of Christ as the fulfillment of the antitypical Day of Atonement. Many Adventist scholars now tend to affirm that the phrase “within the veil” in Hebrews 6:19 refers primarily to the inner veil to the Most Holy Place. However, this does not indicate the antitypical Day of Atonement." " ... the imagery in Hebrews is better understood in connection with the antitypical inauguration of the heavenly sanctuary, its new priesthood, the new covenant, and Christ’s heavenly enthronement as a kingly priest. All of these aspects are emphasized in Hebrews, all are linked to inauguration, and none of them have any connections with the Day of Atonement. Hebrews 10:20 explicitly refers to ‘inauguration’ itself (enekainisen ‘to inaugurate’). Hebrews is seen as highlighting the better access of the newly inaugurated new covenant in Christ, in comparison to limited access and ineffectiveness of the old covenant. The focus of this position is now a much narrower claim about the antitypical Day of Atonement." encyclopedia.adventist.org/article?id=7FOL In other words, the notion that type met antitype (antitypical) stopped once Jesus died on the cross, so our position on the veil is not prominent as we see in our 28 beliefs (#24). "It may be true that some presentations and understandings of the investigative judgment have undermined gospel assurance. The question is whether this doctrine is necessarily incompatible with Christian assurance. Historically, Adventists have sometimes neglected the gospel but differences may also be due to certain emphases. For example, Ellen White could give presentations of the investigative judgment that emphasized warning and preparation or ones that emphasized assurance. Different emphases do not constitute contradiction. There are many examples of assurance-based understandings of salvation within Adventism." encyclopedia.adventist.org/article?id=7FOL For a quick 8 minute video explanation of the I. " ... the imagery in Hebrews is better understood in connection with the antitypical inauguration of the heavenly sanctuary, its new priesthood, the new covenant, and Christ’s heavenly enthronement as a kingly priest. The focus of this position is now a much narrower claim about the antitypical Day of Atonement." encyclopedia.adventist.org/article?id=7FOL
In other words, the notion that type met antitype (antitypical) stopped once Jesus died on the cross, so our position on the veil is not prominent as we see in our 28 beliefs (#24).
There are many examples of assurance-based understandings of salvation within Adventism."

Please prayerfully study these things for yourself with an open mind. God will reveal the truth to you.
God bless
You may not use any Adventist literature or quotes from Ellen White. Please try using the Bible, and the Bible only, if able.
For those sincerely seeking, please fast from the SDA Kool-Aid for a month, and then revisit.
Wow you used three witnesses of scripture in a row and actually together?!..Wow!! That is so awesome! I'm so proud of 'Doctor'. This for a fact I have no doubt that not one of your nurses if you were a true doctor that is, or supposedly, would laugh at you behind your back or mock you for your greatly haughty self-deprecating, devilish doctrines of conceited deceits.
And no thank you I will not need a receipt for you actually doing this one time... But hopefully you do it more because I don't know how much more I could bear with this Idiocracy from somebody that of course loves to read but surely not the bible.
So hateful….so very hateful. (BTW, a “real doctor” is one who has a Ph.D. in the liberal arts and sciences - an academic degree. A physician is a professional discipline; noteworthy for sure, and yet, it’s a different academic framework.)
Have you come here to reveal your true spirit, pastor? Indeed, you have done so. @pastorbrianbanks
Is there someone who can translate pastorbrianbanks' comment into plain English for me?
@toddott633 Nope, his words are simply babble.
