The Bible clearly says that the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of Prophecy. The Ten Commandments does mean the decaloque in verse Rev. 12;17; Jesus who wrote the Ten Commandments with his own finger and gave a copy tp Moses is the same Jesus stating Rev. 12;17. The quotes here are the Word of God. So, the commenter is Jesus from his Word.

Thx for this comment. Overall, I would agree it's a spiritual conflict. After all, Paul wrote of this concept in his letter to the church of Ephesus, and we see it in Ch. 6. That said, because we live in a fallen world -- and the whole creation groans -- it only stands to reason there are genetic mutations that exist, which can lead to such things as epilepsy and homosexuality. In that light of physical and mental weakness, genetically, the agents of evil take aim to aggravate the condition. For example, someone's genetics might affect their "wired" sexuality, such that the person might be predisposed to same-sex activity. However, to whatever agent the person submits will result in holiness or depravity. It's not a sin to be gay, but to act upon via homosexual acts is sinful. As the time has passed, I believe it's gotten worse, and social media -- media, in general -- hasn't helped us. The challenge becomes greater and greater to submit to the righteousness of Christ, especially when society today makes it appear as something stupid and ineffectual.

The point I'm making is twofold, such that: 1) the juxtaposition of Judah's 70-year punishment because of 490 years of disobedience (which Jeremiah describes) is balanced by the 70 sevens of Daniel 9, whereby a promise of full restoration is provided via Jesus; 2) the day-year concept, used by many sects for prophetic interpretation, is both moot in this example, and actually non-applicable based upon the misunderstood texts of Num 14:34 and Eze 4:6. SDAs in particular want to connect the 70 sevens to Daniel 8:14, which is without merit. I appreciate you breaking down the timeline. Of course, it's all somewhat "ish" but it's close enough.

Either the names were mixed up (or corrupted) or another section of text was misplaced within Ezra’s narrative. This is how I see it: Thus 445 BCE plus 490 years takes us to 45 CE. So what was happening to Daniel’s people in circa 45 CE? Peter was sent to baptize Cornelius, Paul quit gong to the Israelites and focused on the gentiles instead. Acts 14:27 “On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.” God left the unbelieving Israelites and started to embrace to the gentiles of the nations instead. (Circa 45 CE).

@@DrAD767 sadly, I was once one for many years. One day I decided I wanted to discover Paul’s gospel, after studying a book that SDA ignore, Galatians. SDA openly admit that they do not teach Paul’s gospel. I met many wonderful Adventists but without the “ONE” Gospel, they really have no faith at all. They don’t have the Holy Spirit either. They don’t even understand that they are cursed (separated from God) and have fallen from His grace.

The irony is, re: Galatians, they had an opportunity to reform in the late 1880s, with the Law and Galatians being the central issue. And yet, I see EGW having taken a manipulative stance, insisting she agreed with Waggoner and Jones - that she’d ALWAYS been teaching their message - and diverting true reform, in that, SDA-ism was now positioned with one foot on the shore and the other on a boat drifting out to sea. Thus, their message became more and more subtle in its error. Before 1888, the fact SDA-ism was a non-Christian cult was obvious, just like LDSs and JWs. Today, their cult status is obfuscated by their faulty grace and faith language.

@@DrAD767 studying the book of Galatians along with what you’ve mentioned regarding Waggoner and Jones, that’s what led me out from Adventism. I met many wonderful people, however, what they teach and believe directly contradicts the Bible and believing in what they teach is leading souls to everlasting destruction and not eternal life. 1 Timothy 1, Paul is warning us about those who teach the law not knowing what they are talking about. Much of Adventism’s discussions lead to speculations and uncertainty. The faith is love not law, the law of Christ is love, actions of love not legalism. They are so divided on numerous fronts.

I wouldn't say this is a direct correlation, such that one cancels the other. I will contend, based upon the meter of the verse, it's a poetic structure of threes: three negatives followed by three positives. In that light, perfect righteousness (that of Christ) cancels sin via atonement.

Trinity of sin? Really? Although this verse doesn’t capture it, the Torah identifies four definitions of sin as a whole: transgression (rebellion), iniquity (lawlessness), uncleanness (lifestyle), and sin itself (often ignorance). That said, the verse in Hebrew is capturing what the One who will come will do, but it has nothing to do with the actions of the people, per se; rather, it’s the acceptance of the covenant He shall confirm via atonement (reconciliation).

Let's examine the passage in its context, shall we? "And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn. Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years. And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also. ... And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years." (Genesis 29:26-28, 30 KJV) If we examine this passage carefully, we'll notice this is not a prophecy, but rather a commitment to service. In the Hebrew culture, a wedding/joining together of a man and woman involved a seven-day "honeymoon" so to speak. In the case of Jacob, he served Laban for seven years, then received Leah. Obviously, Laban tricked him, and so Jacob begged Rachel, and after fulfilling Leah's week, he received Rachel. He was then obligated to another seven years of service. There's no allusion to prophetic time whatsoever. My concern is, many folk -- thanks to the "big boys" of SDA-ism in their presentations -- have bought into numerology and thinking everything is a symbol or type, when in actuality, most of the Bible is literal.

If you read Daniel 10:3 that same word for weeks that's in Daniel 9 is there also. And whenever that word is by itself it means a 7-year sabbatical cycle. But if it wants to mean I have literal week of days it will say so like it does in Daniel 10:3?

If you read again CAREFULLY you'll see Gabriel saying that from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the cleansing of the sanctuary would be 2300 days. But he CLEARLY said of that 2300, 70 were prescribed, allotted, to be taken out for Daniel's people. The question is when were the 70wks to start. Since Gabriel did not SPECIFICALLY give a date one can assume it was to start at the beginning of the 2300 days. Daniel would have understood this, since he was waiting for the deliverance of his people. Also Gabriel would not have left us hanging concerning the 70wks. Gabriel said that within the 70wks, at the end of the 69th week Messiah, Jesus, would come and that in the middle of the 70th week Messiah would be cut off, killed. Is there another time for Messiah to be killed? Gabriel said 70wks were allotted for the Jews or make amends to sin. Three and a half years after Jesus was killed, Stephen was stoned to death, showing a total rejection of Jesus and God's of salvation. The gospel then went worldwide. Don't be deceived.

The 70 weeks has nothing to do with the 2300 days....nothing. This is SDA propaganda to fit their skewed and satanic narrative of some ongoing work of atonement (i.e., infused perfection of character over a lifetime) in heaven. Again, I believe you would do well to set aside all your SDA voices and listen to God via His Son. I did a video on the 2300 days, and it's not what you think, nor is the day-for-a-year concept supported by Scripture.

@seekingtruth1233 first off, you are being deceptive. It does not say "DAYS". It says "evening morning 2300". There is no reason to say days. The most this would be is 1150 days. Also, evening morning is in the singular: "erev boqer 2300". The previous verses speak about The Continual, which is done daily, once in the evening and once in the morning. So the offering will be halted/trampled evening morning 2300 (instances), then be restored. SECOND, why would one assume the 490 years starts the same date as the evening morning 2300? I see nothing in either chapter to indicate that. And Daniel 8 clearly gives us a starting point for the evening morning 2300, it is when the daily is halted. The holy one clearly asks the other how long the activities of the little horn go on for, which part of it is the halting of the daily. So as soon as the sanctuary is defiled and the sacrifice is halted, the evening morning 2300 starts. Also, Daniel's 70th week ends around 34 ad. Alexander the Great does not die until AFTER 323bc. So the 4 horns do not come out of Alexander till after that date. Clearly, the holy one in verse 13 is asking about events that happen AFTER the large horn is broken.

You might want to examine those words very carefully, for they might actually apply to you.

There are no persons. Show me, using the Bible only. There is no trinity. It's Catholic heresy; the foundation upon which everything they believe is built. Three persons in one triune god is found nowhere in Scripture. Read 1 Cor 8:6, Jn 17:3, 1 Tim 2:5, Mark 12:28-32, Rev 22:1, and most importantly, Deu 6:4. There are indeed more, but these will suffice. If the Word of God cannot convince you, I certainly can't.
