    Thank you Dr. Davis for this message. I’m also in a home group of the bible alone study, have learned so much about the One True God and his Only begotten Son Jesus Christ. I once was a member of the SDA church but left around 2014 /15 because of the trinity issue. I’m happy that you know Daniel Mesa and probably others who teach the Truth about the one true God Jehovah and His Son. Thanks again

    Excellent presentation. God is using people like you to help many to unlearn a lot of the false interpretations of scripture that has held many captive over the years. I'm one who God has been opening the true Gospel to, little by little, and I'm very thankful. I belong to a church that is just a few breaths away from declaring an extra Biblical source as being superior to the Bible, in fact, some in my church have already done so. Because of this very un-biblical posturing we've been led to believe a whole lot of strange teachings that not only cannot be authenticated by scripture, but actually contradicts the Everlasting Gospel of Christ. Please continue to let the Bible interpret itself and help many to unlearn the heresies of dishonest and disingenuous theology. Blessings.

    Amen and Thank you Dr. Davis for this Fantastic mini sermon on the 2nd Angel's message!
    Also contrary to what I've been taught, especially is impressionable for me are the following you state: "God declares us righteous; not by what we do, but rather by what Christ has done; we are not being justified by Christ, and then being sanctified through good works over the course of a lifetime, but rather we are justified by God in Christ, set apart for a Holy works and then through His grace empowered now to perform works of righteousness for the relieving of suffering"; and secondly "We are not to worship the day, but rather observe the 7th day not to be saved, but rather as an acknowledgment what God has done for me in and through Christ".

    Amen! The second angel IS NOT a message directed to the "apostate protestants" that reject the 1844 message! Thats just one of the "fables" SDAs use to justify themselves as "gods gift to humanity"... (1Ti 1:4, Jn 8:39) The "wine of Babylon" is a symbol of false doctrine (i.e. confusion by mixture) and Catholicism can be summed up as a works-based religion built upon the "mystery of the trinity" (Rev 17:5) that none can explain but all must believe! The spirit of antichrist is to control the conscience and judge men by creeds and counsels but the "everlasting gospel" gives men true freedom in Christ that trumps organized religion and denominationalism any day of the week. (1Jo 2:22, 27, Jn 14:26) Funny you mentioned tithing... I recently had someone blow a gasket when I mentioned I do not believe we are obligated to support some priesthood or minister with tithe while at the same time making it clear Christians should be a generous people meeting the needs of those around them. As the title of your video says; these things are "a hard pill to swallow" for many...

      So refreshing and encouraging to know that so many others, like myself, have been spiritually awakened to the Truth as it is in the Bible alone.
      Those under the SDA delusion may regard us as apostates, who have been sifted out of their church fellowship but I regard it as heeding the warning to come out of Babylon, with its false system of worship.

    It's who we worship, not about a "day." I rest in Christ every day of the week and worship Him every day.
    I can go to church on Saturday because I am accustomed too that, ( I am not legalistic on this day, if I need to fill my car up, I will, if I need something at the shop's, I go, but I also go to church on Sundays as well. And if I don't go, I do my own church at home or go to home churches.

    • @DrAD767
      @DrAD767  6 месяцев назад

      Yes, we shouldn't be legalistic. At the same time, I for one try to ensure the major things are done: fuel, shopping, house cleaning, etc. But if something becomes emergent, then it gets done...ox in the ditch. We still attend a weekly SS when we can, because we believe that's our calling at this time.
      I'm very encouraged at how far you've come!

    Thank you for this study Brother Davis.
    I also believe that Babylon is about false worship ( and from what I gain from the OT, false values and indifference for others).
    What is not clear to me is , what is ment by " the city is fallen".?
    Do you have any thoughts on that?

    • @DrAD767
      @DrAD767  4 месяца назад +2

      I believe, within the context of the chapters 12-14 narrative, that the city is fallen means the cross has defeated all false systems of worship, in that it revealed the only true God and His Son. Anything else - for example trinitarianism - is Babylon.

      @@DrAD767 thank you for your reply. I will have to study this more in the context of chapters 12 and 13. It's hard to re think outside the end time scenario - a different perspective. I have always studied a lot on my own using the Bible and a concordance, but didn't realize that I did so with certain established beliefs. I'm thankful that I never believed in a trinitarian God. I was baptized in 1971, before that was introduced into the sda church.

      FYI: The English in 1 Jn 5 you've cited can be confusing, but the Greek or German is not.
      And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. (1Jo 5:20-21 KJV)
      - "him that is true" refers to Jehovah
      - "in him that is true..." denotes "through His Son Jesus Christ"; again, in Jehovah
      - "This is the true God," is again Jehovah, the only One who gives eternal life THROUGH His Son.
      - Anything other than this understanding is idolatry
      I think we're done here.....

      @DrAD767 Jesus accepted worship from the New Testament writers in Luke 24:52 as just one place. We are told to worship the One and only true God and no other. If Jesus isn't God, then He would be a false one? I am not claiming to be a Trinitarian but even if I was as scholarly as you clearly are, I wouldn't trust myself more than the scholars that put their heads together to translate our Bibles. I am not saying that we can't learn from original languages, but that we should be very careful when telling people that their Bibles are teaching error.
      What is to be gained by making out that our Bibles are so corrupted when they teach us to worship Jesus?
      I don't mean to attack you, but I am concerned.
      I did watch watch your previous and I won't trouble you again.

    • @DrAD767
      @DrAD767  7 месяцев назад +1

      @Adrian_Mason Of course Jesus accepted worship: He’s deity; of the same substance and eternal like Jehovah. The point is, He’s not the Almighty and Ancient of Days.
      He’s the Son and must be so accepted. Our worship is perfected thru Him. We come to Jehovah thru Him.
      Does that make sense?
      Re: a Bible translation teaching error, I don’t believe I said anything to that effect. There are issues with contemporary versions - and they’re serious - but I find the KJV solid.
