Considering how I've seen the 7000 series cars configured on a lot of trains (B cars connected to the cab end of A cars), I'm surprised that there haven't been any 6 car 7000 series trains yet.

jamari Yes they are nice railcars
knowing that they just took the 4k series just now and now we dont have any more 4k series to go with what other series do we have now? 4k? 7k? what series do we have i miss 1k series reminds me of the 2009 crash and we are left with nothing but the 7k series,so i have a feeling that they will make a 8k series,9k series, whatever now we will remember the 4k series we will miss them badly (not badly)but we will miss them i miss them thank u for listening good night god bless u love u all have a good night and i wish u a happy valentines day hope u enjoyed your candy and had fun hope u got a girlfriend
Thanks hope you have a happy Valentine's Day as well. Now since the 1k and 4K Railcars are retiring next the 5k railcars will be retiring in the coming years as well. There already plans for the 8k series railcars they plan to order 366 of them to replace the 2k/3k railcars in the years 2020s. I'm going to miss riding 1k and 4K series railcars

Nick Apples Lately WMATA has there 7k in that configuration now this day seem like to WMATA doesn't matter the configuration but as long as it an 8 car train and have a cab at end then is seems that the configuration doesn't matter

***** I don't think wmata wants that for 7k I guess they want them in 8 car to expand capacity. Or retire alot of cars to make the whole fleet 8 car length idk it's just my silly old opinion.
