    DC Metro has the best buses and trains down there. I can't wait to come back down there again because I haven't been there since 2017.

    Track alignment is nice and stable.......Very little "bouncing" or "swaying". I love this video!

    The Red line has like the most 7000 series trainsets, in fact, i have seen these trains even during off peak hours. Basically, one after the other.

      @AirbusAi342 they actually do a really great job keeping them clean. When I went up in there in august for my birthday I rode these and they were all very clean.

      They’ve got to be better than the older series trains with carpets. Carpets! Why would a mass transit train use carpets for its flooring?!

    Thanks also they retiring the 5000 series early because originally the last order of 220 7000 series were supposed to be use for expanding the rail fleet but since DC, MD did n't have enough money to upgrade the infrastructure to expand the fleet so they decide to retire the most unreliable railcars in the system which is the 5000 series cars

      +WMATA1000 The 5000-series railcars are the worst rail cars ever in the WMATA fleet.

    I lived in the District years ago and loved the Metro. Rode it all the time. If Metro hasn't already done so, they really should put the word "Metro" on the side of all the Metro cars like the older cars have, otherwise stupid people won't know what to call the system. They'll start calling it "the train" or something. Ugh. Metro did an excellent job labeling the Metro system when it first opened in the 1970s and the Metrobus system so there was never any doubt what to call it. But you'll likely lose that Metro "branding" with today's stupid people if you don't put that big M and "Metro" on the outside side of each car. Also, the District is a very transient City so people come and go and new people moving there won't know what to call your system because "Metro" is no longer on the outside *side* of the new cars. In this video and in a recent (2017) video I just saw, there's no Metro labeling on the side of the train. That's a bad decision in a marketing sense. Thanks.

    Let's see ummmm they have the New York Station Board, ummmm the announcements sound really ummmmmmmmm don't know how to say it but to be honest it's sounds sorta robotic, like no action and it sounds like the MBTA red line when it stops and starts

    Honestly, I think the cars would be better if Randi Miller still did the voices. I don't like this new voice.

    • @MWTransitVids
      @MWTransitVids  8 лет назад

      Yeah they need to replace the new voice

    • @crazypilot7577

      ***** Also, the chimes are not the best. While they are trying to modernize, they don't need to replace the good old chimes and Randi Miller.
