Tom missed the point on the tiny umbrella. It's not to protect your camera from the rain. It's to protect your camera from the sun. There are a lot of times when you may have to leave your camera shooting video in an area without shade (like shooting B-roll during events). If it's bright and sunny, that could lead to your camera overheating real quick. Having that umbrella handy may just give your camera a fighting chance to shoot longer. While there may be better options out there, for what you pay, the tiny umbrella isn't that bad. And FWIW there are variants of that tiny umbrella with a small ball head that allows it to swivel so you can do a better job keeping your camera in the shade.
Just be careful what you are ordering there. They were (are?) investigated for selling things made by forced labor (Uyghurs) in the US and those super cheap things are probably subsidized.
Incredibly unethical company that makes Amazon seem like the good guys. Any research done will prove these guys are inhumane to their workers and shouldn't be anywhere near your data.
As an full time event photographer, I typically carry a minimum of two and sometimes three camera bodies along with multiple lenses. When considering the purchase of a dual camera harness, durability and reliability are crucial factors. I highly endorse the Holdfast Money Maker from Hold fast gear, having been a satisfied customer for over five years. It's essential not to compromise on the quality of your gear; investing in reliable equipment is key for a seamless experience.
About the belt holster being plastic: I've been using 2 of these for the last 10+ years and they're still perfect. Way better than any strap (no bouncing around) and doesn't weight on the shoulders.
That double shoulder camera strap is actually something ive been looking for, and as you say theyre almost universally crazy expensive for a couple of stips of thin leather. That one you tested actually doesnt look all that different, seems nicely made, and at £33 compared to the £450 ive seen some for feels like a bargain for the odd time ive really needed one
Well for a temu product most of them seems usefull but built quality might be a problem. By the way i am thinking of getting sony a6700 should i buy the 16 50mm and 90mm g macro or just 18 135 mm theese are the only options other than that wonderfull content keep it up.🎉
Thanks for checking out the video! The Sony A6700 is a good choice - really nice camera. As for lenses, the main question would be, how much do you take macro photos vs needed an all-in-one lens? If you NEED macro, get the first 2 lenses. If you NEED versatility, go for the 18-135mm. Hope this helps!
@@TomCalton thank you for the reply the story with macro was the lens is normslly 900€ but i somehow found it for 400 €from a very reliable site from amazon but the price was changed after and i ve heard that the 90mm macro is great for portrait and macro also worlds sharpest lens so yeah i will go with 18 135 thank you .
@@fatihyigityavuz8374sometimes vendors on Amazon get hacked and people try to run a scam. I see absurd prices like that all the time. Wouldn't bet on something like that! The longer zoom lens seems like a better option to me for a first lens. A bit big for such a small camera, but it'll be a all in one solution until you decide you want to get a prime.
- Belt Holster actually is not that bad, metal part is securely connected to the plastic part, so for the light camera and small lens I see no problem (Sony A7rII+Sigma 85/1.4) The only problem is there is no protective flap underneath like on FOMITO Vest - light stick looks like garbage :) . add £5 and buy Ulanzi VL119 instead
Fair comment about the belt holster, though, it was more the fact that it's plastic that connects it to your belt, which is also the part that's taking most of the weight. If that failed... 👀
@@TomCalton my pain is my belts are not cheap - it will scratch and deform them. So I bought a few 5euro leather belts just for it. the plastic is quite reliable, 6mm thick, try to bend it with the fingers and feel resistance. I had it already on a few photoshoots - it is really OK solution for up to 1.5 kg camera+lens

Advertising and promoting such a horrible un-ethical company as Temu is simply disgusting. When a company makes Amazon seem like they are the good guys you are truly digging for bottom of the barrel in terms of humanity. Really really disappointing, Tom.

The coupon does not work. I searched for the code and the app just searches indefinitely. Temu is a scam.

The image of Tom and his camera wearing matching umbrellas, priceless!
Glad you appreciated it 😁

No heart for this comment 😶

Still believing this atrocity propaganda by the US eh? I am sure they are experts in treating Muslims with respect…
US that bombs civilians all over the middle east and northern africa have the nerve to investigate someone lmao

Thanks for sharing - sound advice! 👌🏻
I mean, you could have like 10 grand holding from that mf, better not to cheap out on it lol
The umbrella is actually super handy in the heat for osmo action 3’s that overheat for me all the bloody time.
Fair point. I didn't think about shade from the sun. Probably because in the UK we get all of about 3 days of sunshine a year 😅
@@TomCalton yeah the beauty of going to all the touchtennis events in the sun. I’ll be thinking of England from Dubai next week, mate.
I watched this without any expectations and now I am searching for mop holders...
You're welccome... I think? 🤣
i think the little umbrella is to block the sun from the screen
Good point! Though we don't get much sun here in the UK 😅
Epilepsy mode 🤣

I love my Olympus body cap lens! This one doesn't look as good, but I'm glad there are multiple options out there.
I wonder if the hot shoe umbrella was for the screen in sunlight
I just subscribed and now I'm seeing your vids 3 minutes after you post them. Neat.

I was genuinely impressed with it. And like you said, some of the branded versions out there are hella expensive!
Commend you for coming up with interesting content, LOL, not just another gear review of the latest release.
Thanks - just trying out some new things. Hopefully everyone enjoys it 😁
That 4k drone! 🤣🤣 Quality product!
