@@IMKINDOFABIGDEAL13yeah that’s not true but okay. Way to group a huge number of people into something only inbreds do, a lot of bring garbage and pack out shit we didn’t bring
I've just started to really get into fishing and learning about different techniques and lures. I use to think fishing just consisted of putting a worm on a hook, throw it in the water and wait. watching videos from Addicted has really helped me understand that there is an actual method to use. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.
Bobber and soft plastic lures is deadly for saltwater. Here in Florida where I am trophy fish love the soft plastics. Only problem is there are tides here in Florida and the lures get snagged. The remedy? A float. Works miracles. Good to see it works for steelhead as well. You guys rock! Much love from Florida ❤️
Wow. I’ve been fishing for my entire life and I couldn’t tell you how spot on and just perfect these videos are. When I go fishing with people new or my friends who don’t know a whole lot about fishing, I’m more than happy to reach and help them through it, but these videos from you guys have such a better and more thorough explanation than anything I could teach 😂 Seriously, it’s awesome that you guys put a lot of passion and effort into making these videos for people to start getting into the sport/hobby. Cheers!
Thanks for demonstrating the proper clean up of waste fishing line. Even the little tags are important to be cleaned up. Nothing worse than seeing balls of fishing line all over the bank because some slob is too lazy to put it in their pocket
I know you guys fish many different techniques but never seen you try a centerpin. Here in the east we fish these same float techniques but many of us use a centerpin. Give it a try! I can't stand using a spinning gear anymore.
Thanks for the lesson. Another good one... but im using a level wind. Had my 1st steelhead on 1 week ago but it jumped and threw the hook! Ill get the next one. That looks like amazing water in your vid.
Just picked up 3 of these jigs, cannot wait til the ice in the rivers go out so i can float some jigs for salmon and steelhead and brownies!! Have some hand tied squirrel hair jigs im going to try out too
I'm in michigan and float fish with a jig and bobber for steelhead. Except i usually tip mine with a wax worm. The jigs that we use aren't as big as the ones that you guys use on the West Coast. Ours are basically like the size of a ice fishing jig. Some have hair and some are bare. Im going to try and order some of those jigs and try those out.
Just got my first addicted mustad float was wondering what rod action and weight is going to work best medium or medium light I enjoy everything y'all do to teach us thank you
So I just went to Mustad to grab some of that sweet 20% discount! I would have spent more, but a bunch of what I wanted was out of stock. There are a couple of Mustad retailers in my area. So, I'll check them out, too. I'm not sure if they carry the Addicted branded stuff.
I dont know how often you get these texts but you three on the upper rogue on 9-9-20, you guys should use a three fly setup, an ugly bug then a 4 inch dropper to an egg pattern and another 4 inch dropper to a prince nymph or a copper jon. That setup needs to be fished under an adjusta float with about an 11 ft leader.
So I'm curious about boils and back eddies. How do you float fish them? Should I be fishing downstream of the back eddy? Or in the main current on the opposite side of it? Or?
I’ve been fishing with lead head bobbers and I am new to all the new products out there. I am also not use to two different fishing lines, also never used braided. I am trying to learn the new products that’s out there. Only using power bait with mealworm on top and bottom and pa spoons aka daredevils is getting boring.
I'm curious what test flourocarbon works best for the leader in this set up? I would think higher test because of the rocks but I feel like the fish would see it.
Does the max drag on the reel affect your line choice? You said you’re using 30lb test, and I’m sure on a 3000 series reel the max drag is a lot less. How does that play a factor?
Why no centerpins? The Hardy silex and their modern free spinning progeny have been a BC tradition forever. Long rods, starting at 10 1/2 feet and the perfect line control of a centerpin. A short rod and spinning reel seems like the hard way to do it.
Help us get this video to 1000 likes and we will draw one winner in the comments to win some floats and jigs from Mustad/Addicted!! 🤘🎣
I like your method with the bobber I’m gonna try it in streams for trout
I love jigs!
Fin8sh working that spot. Bead...spoon....spinner...come on now. You taught me better than that....lol
I love float fishing!
Never pass up an opportunity for free fishing gear. Liked.
i like how you put that piece of line into your pocket. take out what you take in. right on
Yes, only guys that fish hatchery holes leave trash.
Good thing he does he's on camera

Love that you pocket the tag and camera shows you do it. Fishermen really set the bar and example of conservation.

Thanks for taking such care with your mono trimmings guys. A little effort goes a long way to help reduc e plastics in the watershed! Kudos
I think the bobber and jig trick is used all over the US for multiple species. We use it on Whites, Crappie, and Walleye. Very effective! Great video.
Man! I watched this tutorial ,ordered a few mustad/addicted fix floats second cast with a nightmare jig I had a 30in steelhead! Thanks adx
This bobber & jig setup is simple for beginner steelhead anglers! It's how I learned to fish for steelhead!

I’m new to steelhead fishing but can’t wait. You guys are like the steelhead university and I feel like I’ve learned so much. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video! I caught my first steelhead yesterday because of this video. Appreciate everything you guys do!
Thanks for demonstrating the proper clean up of waste fishing line. Even the little tags are important to be cleaned up. Nothing worse than seeing balls of fishing line all over the bank because some slob is too lazy to put it in their pocket
I've already caught a few steelhead on your jig heads and worms and they work great. Awesome video keep them coming
wilson flanders sick ! Thanks for the support!
I just watched you guys go by my house on the upper rogue river, let me know how you did and what you guys were using for bait, like beads or flys
I legit get all stoked seeing ALL THE NEWER content. ADDICTED is freakin bonkin em out!
I know you guys fish many different techniques but never seen you try a centerpin. Here in the east we fish these same float techniques but many of us use a centerpin. Give it a try! I can't stand using a spinning gear anymore.
I eat up all your guys’ videos on how to fish anything trout. Love you guys keep it up!! 👍🏼
Learned lots from you guys I use bobber and worms here in the smith river even when people said they don’t work here and sure enough I hooked up 💪🏽
Thanks for the lesson. Another good one... but im using a level wind. Had my 1st steelhead on 1 week ago but it jumped and threw the hook! Ill get the next one. That looks like amazing water in your vid.
Whoa!!! I've been bobber fishing wrong for almost a whole year. Thank you very much for the (fishing) rod of correction. Awesome information!!!
Watching Addicted Fishing to try new techniques for this spring. Best fishing videos out there.
Just picked up 3 of these jigs, cannot wait til the ice in the rivers go out so i can float some jigs for salmon and steelhead and brownies!! Have some hand tied squirrel hair jigs im going to try out too
You guys make me want to go swing jigs all day everyday
Fish or no fish, this one inspired me to go shopping and get fishing. Thanks guys!
twitch your jigs every few drifts it might make a reaction bite happen trust me try it
I’ve been steelhead fishing twice. I love it so far but still have yet to catch a fish! Hopefully this weekend changes my skunk streak.
Joe Garcia I was skunked for a long time before I caught my first but it’s so worth it when you catch one
Im in a 3 day skunk streak.
Same here two trips... skunked
Trip 3 ended with a 7inch cutthroat. Still no steelhead... trip 4 scheduled already.

Hey team, I love this technique with bead head nymphs. Swing it around, the nymph should just tap the riverbed.
seen people do similar with flies as well, haven't tried it, yet.
That's one huuuuuge combo for the task. 😅
I like your videos! Thank you for sharing.
One day the tutorial and huge chromer will happen. Great vid as always.
Fantastic video. Thanks for uploading !
Excellent advice thank you for your awesome video's.
So I have a question, if you wanted to use this technique for trout would you just downsize everything?
John Paul Yep, exactly!!
Thanks marlin studying for summer steel. Going to try the jig bead N roy tomorrow

Thanks for the video. Keep up the great work guys. Love the channel.
Could I use that bobber and jig with a bait caster or spinning rod only?
New to the channel and definitely Addicted! Winter steelhead is my newest adventure.
Blood knot is my favorite even though I always have to tie it twice lol.
Try the FG knot. Hard to learn but I never went back to a blood knot once I learned it
best youtubers ever
Awesome video! Thanks for taking time out to do this. Liked and subscribed.
Im excited for these jigs and floats. Coho fishing going to be fun.

May I ask why you wouldn't use a level wind reel and eliminate the need for constant mending altogether?
"Did ya see that Shawn?" I wanna come fish with you guys!
Very educational video. Thanks.
Marlin should do a video on how he would fish beads “if” he was too fish them
Marlin, how long are ya running your leader?
Is the float on the floro or the braid? Great video
just bought that mustad fixed float...really looking forward to try it out soon.

More details on line size all the weights involved, float, how many weights, total weight, what is the float rated for. No marking on the floats.
Thanks for the tutorial. This is on my bucket list this year.
You can use this same method for trout right? With smaller jig and bobber obviously but rigged the same?
Another great and informative video.
With these smaller attached floats can you fish these in quicker water? You Just up the weight of the jig/worm?
Garrett Rotter Yep! Use the weight system on the float. We will have a video coming soon!
Thanks for posting this
Any recommendations for trout or steelhead rivers in western Washington near or with camping on river?
Come on Big dof...you onow you want to throw the bead...oh wait, Marlon doesn't throw beads...i mean worm....lol Great vid bud.
How often do you tip your jigs? Does water clarity change that?
Getting jiggy with it!
Great video! Thanks for the tutorial, now I gotta go fishing!
This was very helpful
I'm curious what test flourocarbon works best for the leader in this set up? I would think higher test because of the rocks but I feel like the fish would see it.
Thanks for the video, could you fish still waters using this method? Thanks.
you using some kind of oil or wax on those maribous to keep there shape and dry?
What is the standard size float and jig. I saw 1/4, and 2 others. I am new to jig fishing. I heard they have to match also correct?
So with all the slack line as your bobber wouldn’t that throw your response to a bobber down??
Why do you recommend the "fixed" float instead of "sliding" float?
great informative video! what should be the portion whieght bobber to jig?
sharon Yosef We have a video on this coming soon!
Good video guys!
Idk if I missed it but how do you know or choose what weight jig to use??
emilio chavez 1/16, 1/8th, & 1/4 are all great options! We use 1/8th a lot.
MARLIN YOU ARE MY HERO
Hey guys love your videos. I fish in northeast Ohio. Do you guys not need split shots on your lines above your jigs??
Mike Will Nope not usually. Sometimes you can add one to help it get down in deep or fast water.
Great teacher
Hard to find floats is there only 1 size 1/8 oz great informative video keep them coming
Are you using rabbibou, or maribbit for your jigs?
Does the max drag on the reel affect your line choice? You said you’re using 30lb test, and I’m sure on a 3000 series reel the max drag is a lot less. How does that play a factor?
camron should do a spey/fly one

Great job 😊
I was starting to wonder if you guys threw jigs. IMO,jigs are #1.
Brian Kettner all the time !
Great video thanks 😊
Nice catch friend 🎣 🐟
Very good information.....
Do you ever use that spider line stuff?
Another great video ! It’s pretty cold here in Michigan. Steelhead still biting ?! I’m new to the sport.
I just shared it guys
Those floats, are they only 1/8oz or you have 1/2oz also?I ordered 1/2oz on my order and received 1/8oz.
Love the content guys! Great vids!!!
Do you guys use sliding floats with jigs also?
Zach Combs Yes, in a few different scenarios, but this is the quick and easy way.
how longs the leader??
... rod was designed for but it is a really good rod for catfish (10 lbs
The FG knot is my vote.
How many feet of clear did you tie onto your braid?
Man I wish you guys would do a series dedicated to reading water.
