Don't ever do this when distributing gospel tracts. At least don't tell Tony if you do.
You can find Tony's "Thank You" tract, here: onemilliontrac...

I worked at a hotel. I used to hate when guests only left a gospel tract that looks like money. Workers would walk in, see it across the room and think they are getting a big tip. That is rotten to do to service workers.

Thank you, Tony! I absolutely agree. God bless you, in Jesus Christ.

To be honest, and no I don't work as wait staff, but as someone who's never earned a tip I'd be okay with a tract, it shows that someone cares. But I agree with leaving a tract and a tip, it shows the lost that you REALLY care not just about their spiritual needs, but their worldly needs as well.

Totally agree!! I once was giving a gospel tract with a $2 bill in it, and the lady wouldn't take it at first, since I told her it was a gospel tract, but she finally took it, noticed the $2 bill, and then explained to me... She used to be a waitress, single mom, and she said she hated working on Sundays because the church goers were the worst tippers, and some would just leave the gospel tract without any money.

Not a bad idea to give extra when giving a gospel tract.

Hey brother Tony. First of all, I see you as a brother I can imitate, as you imitate Christ. Ive been blessed by watching your videos, and I have been sharpened to the glory of God. So I do appreciate and love you as a brother in Christ.
With that said, I must tell you with respect and love, I believe you are taking the anti-no tipping to far to an extent that you are wrongfully/sinfulling binding the conscience of fellow believers, by obligation them to obey, not the law of God, but to the traditions of men. No where in Scripture, are believers commanded to obey a cultural rules and norms. It's one thing to have an opinion about tipping. Another thing to use the word reprehensible which basically means condemning/guilty/worthy of punishment, etc.
Imagine if church discipline extended to those who didn't leave a tip with their gospel tract.
Love you brother, and keep serving the Lord as you have, to God's glory and for the edification of the saints. God bless you.

Jef li Proverbs 11:25 a generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. I think it's vital that Christ follows not invalidate the message of the Gospel by being on generous with a tip or not leaving a tip at all. If a person feels like they can't afford to leave a tip then they should sacrifice and have water instead of a soda or have a less expensive meal or pass on the dessert.
As followers of Christ we should be characterized by generosity humility and gratitude. Food for thought! No pun intended 🙂

Not everyone can afford $20 tips! especially if youre going to do several errands on top of the restaurant one, and plan on placing/giving tracts to the several pple u come in contact with. I give them to groc clerks, gas stn pple, pple sitting on benches in malls, guys sitting alone in eateries (LOTS of those bored folks), pple sitting alone in casinos (LOTS of those); people waiting at bus stops, train platforms, anywhere pple are sitting or standing waiting, in bathrooms on counters, in movie seat cup holders, so many places to put tracts!! i even put them into bags of groceries! . in our country/area, no one leaves tips on the table, they might get snatched by other diners! we leave the tract on the table, and pay the bill at the till, and put tip on AT the till, not the table.

I think putting a notecard inside the tract with a personal note of appreciation for the server about their service that they might even keep would be an excellent addition. I am new to using Gospel Tracts though. Good idea? Not good? Let me know.

Or maybe just be sure to fill out a feedback slip if they have them and ask for one saying you appreciate their service and do they have feedback cards to leave your appreciation on.

Peaple in the UK don't have a tipping culture, so some don't tip

Yep. I've been to the UK several times. I was surprised when I first learned that tipping is not practiced. Different part of the world. I appreciate you pointing this out, though. I should have mentioned it. Thanks, again.

Also, DO NOT leave one of the Million Dollar Bills with your tip. The Thank You tract looks like it would be the perfect companion for a tip! Just my opinion…

When I am handing out christian tracts, I usually say. Jesus blood washes away all sin. Would you like a christian tract to read?

    • @Lauren-vd4qe
      @Lauren-vd4qe Год назад +2

and most people wd b utterly repelled by a blood comment! I place a tract before them and say heres something for your coffee break! and i get a 95% good response, not a horrified look and shrinking away, refusing.

NEVER say Karen when describing a woman. There are some very nice Karens out there. I would NEVER say he is such a Tony. I assume that you are a nice Tony.
