When I am handing out christian tracts, I usually say. Jesus blood washes away all sin. Would you like a christian tract to read?
Does God exist?
Truth is absolute. God cannot both exist and not exist. Pick the correct answer.
- [ ] Everything came from nothing.
- [ ] Buildings, paintings and text books are created by nothing and appear from nothing over millions of years. Years (time) also comes from nothing.
- [ ] The sophisticated design of human biology and all of life was designed by nothing.
- [ ] Nothing is equal to something.
- [ ] Creator/God in His infinite knowledge designed and created all that exists, which include matter, time and space, morality (conscience/knowledge) and spirituality.
If you chose the last answer it is because you, like all of us were created with a logical thought process and a conscience that bears witness to the existence of God.
What does your conscience tell you about morality?
Is God just?
Justice or Injustice?
Is morality subjective or absolute?
Should an evil doer/criminal be punished?
Have you ever done evil?
God gave everyone a conscience to know right from wrong. God defines evil as those who do wrong against Him and people (idolatry, stealing, lying, sexual immorality, hatred, gossip, etc.). All evil starts in a selfish, deceitful, wicked and prideful heart, and manifests itself through our thoughts and actions.
When do you think it makes sense for an evil doer to be shown mercy and be forgiven?
- [ ] When he/she is unrepentant and doesn’t care.
- [ ] When he/she continues to do evil and tries to cover it up with good works (self-righteous/self justification). Thinking their good deeds will outweigh their bad.
- [ ] When he/she acknowledges that they are evil/sinners and simply admits Jesus died for them and rose from the dead.
- [ ] When he/she confesses and is repentant (departs from evil) pleads for mercy and does what is right with all their heart and without hypocrisy/self righteousness, following Jesus as the example.
If you chose the last answer, you understand what it means to be a true Christian/Jesus Christ/God follower/believer. God will execute judgement upon all evil doers in a place called hell, who have not repented and believed from the heart.
What will you do with this knowledge?
God offers you a new, pure heart. Jesus said; repent and follow Me, and I will forgive you, and fill your heart with my living water (Holy Spirit) to walk in the steps of eternal life.
