      No worries just take car not to overtighten those bottom cover screws as I did with one...and now it won't come out!

    Well I haven’t had to change my pinion on mine yet but now if I ever have to or want to now I’ll now exactly how. Thanks for this useful video Richie, looks like ur getting to know ur UDR quite well, I will get to know mine lil better when my new stainless screw kit gets here, as I’ll be pulling out n replacing every nut n bolt on it, that’s also a good way to learn ur rig 👍👍

      Oh ya n the first step should be, I hope ur not storing ur batteries in ur rigs, cus ur batteries should not be left plugged in or left in ur rc, should have them in a fire safe box, ammo box anywhere but inside the rig, u know that Richie maybe u just got done running it, also u didn’t mention using BLUE locktight on the pinion screw

      Indeed I should have mentioned the loctite, I've thrown away the red stuff as it's just too darn much! I store all the batteries in a fire safe overnight. I'd just got back when the pinion arrived so I got straight to work on the car. Although I sometimes leave them in the cars (unplugged - but never when I've run them right down)

      Glad it's of use. I shoot these as I do them as someone somewhere will be wondering how to do the same thing. Reversing a traxxas throttle gets more views than I ever thought possible!

    I just got a UDR and was wondering what pinion gear it came with stock?

    Any chance you can tell me what the stock gearing is for the UDR?
    In process of building a 2wd lcg slash to eventually try for 100mph with it but as of rite now im using the Traxxas 6s esc and the 2200kv traxxas branded motor that comes in the UDR so figured the stock gearing will help me get used to the slash on 6s before I step up to the castle esc and better motor and possibly a 1-1 gearing such as a 34/34.in the end i plan on trying out the castle sensored 2200kv,the poseidon 2200kv and the kill mode tp(forget the kv on that 1)motors mainly just for fun and to see what types of different speeds I get from all 3 of them.if you could tell me the stock gearing on the UDR though I'd greatly appreciate it.thanks and keep up with the great videos.

      Richard I no longer have the UDR you would need to check the Traxxas website, which even if I still had the UDR is what I'd do.

    Hello! I have the same batteries as you.. floureon very good cheap batteries :D just wondering do you use an adapter or did you solder on the traxxas plugs? Thanks.

    • @DriftomaniacsRC
      @DriftomaniacsRC  6 лет назад

      I use adapters as I use them with a few different cars

      @@DriftomaniacsRC is there enough room in the battery box?

      It's a squeeze but yes there is. Get as short a connectors as you can though you'll need to bend them over to fit.

    I sub why did u get rid off the udr ?

    • @DriftomaniacsRC
      @DriftomaniacsRC  4 года назад

      Simple economics !!! Nothing wrong with the car but I have to sell old cars to buy new ones!

    Will it fit 2 standard hardpack 1/10 scale batteries like the size for 2s on a slash. I have 2 standard hardpack batteries that fits perfect on my emaxx im wondering if these 2 batteries will fit in the udr tray. Whats the stock teeth count on the udr pinion?

    • @DriftomaniacsRC
      @DriftomaniacsRC  6 лет назад

      You'd need to measure the batteries against the tray measurements. Please look up the stock pinion/spur details on the traxxas website.

    I just did all this on my new UDR, way too expensive to be able to afford neglecting maintenance

    Not as bad as I thought it would be. Still seems like a bit of a pain in the Butt.

      It's fast if you've an electric drill. You'd have it done in under 5 mins.
