thank man great info, i just pick t' up a new udr today and i just found out wen i cam home that my 3s smc 5000mah didn't fit in it so i am looking for new battery that fit in the spot but i am in canada so not that many choice around here.
We ship international :) Just FYI we are almost out of these now, these were a "regular" seller for us but demand has skyrocketed since the UDR came out.
I'm a neewbie at RC : if you put 2 lipo 3s on the UDR, you'll run on "6s" or on "3s" ? Or, in a other way, : to run on 6s, do you have to put in one (or two) 6s lipo ?
I been running 1 4s Lipo and it does really well. It doesn't do 50 mph, but it does haul butt! Not really in a rush to go all out bashing with it. I get 6 cell runs faster, but you get shorter run times. How are you going to run 8s in that truck? Lacks the space to run 2 4s lipo batteries.
You will definitely break a lot less on 4S, it's an un-written law of RC that when you go up in voltage you will have more breakage. For the 8S setup, we are running 2 3500mAh soft-case 4S packs. Even at the smaller capacity, with the higher-voltage setup being more efficient the runtimes are still very good.
@@BlueDroneBlues Depends on how we are driving it but 20-30 minutes is easy on it. Haven't done any GPS runs yet so hard to say but it's outta control at the top-end :)
Yes, it will fit. Runtime will be a little reduced obviously, unless you have it geared very tall performance will still be good. We use the 35C packs in many EDF jets which suck down a large 6S pack in under 3 minutes and they do well.
Looks like there are a couple different size of the battery compartments but they all have hight above 30mm, so it should fit. If you know the exact model then it is better to check the owners manual online for the exact numbers.
This is a great one if you are charging 2 batteries often: www.rcjuice.com/chargers-accessories/chargers/skyrc-d100-v2-ac-dc-2-x-100w-dual-lipo-balance-charger.html
We always tell guys, higher voltage almost always results in more broken parts. Either from the power breaking driveline components or the extra speed braking more when it crashes. It's the price we pay for the added fun!
RcBullShit you CAN find a single 6s battery, however, you pay upwards of $125-$150 for that battery. If one single cell goes out, whole pack is garbage. At least this way you have two packs and could theoretically use them in something else too. If one goes out, you’re only out $44. They’re on sale right now.
It is not a ultimate desert racer it is the unlimited desert racer
4cell setup works great for me,there are no trophy’s at the end of the play date
And you probably have much less breakages :)

Hello wondering if you could help answer a question of mine, Can I run this Traxxas UDR with only one of these 6s batteries?

You need to run 2 3S LiPo's and run them in SERIES> If you connect them in parallel you'll get double the run-time, but only the power of one battery.
Can you send me the link for a charger for that?

@@RCJuice I see. How long do you get run time out of that? What kind of speed are you getting out of it running 8?

@RCJuice could you guys figure out the largest 4S battery that can be fit in the UDR? I like not breaking things on 6S lol.
The only thing youl break is servo (they die) and maybe rear trailing arm if you bash hard.
what charger do you recommend?

They don't make a single 6's??

That's not a 6s. Its 2 3's.
3 + 3 = 6 is really that hard for you to get?
Sounds like you're getting paid by hobbystar...
