I am total beginner without talent at all. Have painted along and learned more from this video than for 8 years in school on art subject... Thank you Lois!!!
Thank you so much. I've learnt so much from your videos about sea and sky, my favorite subjects for painting. I'm not a natural painter by any standards, but I love playing with water colours, and since watching your tutorials my skies, and seas are starting to feel and look more painterly. I looked up Ron Ranson, I love his style. You both make getting pleasing results accessible, for someone with my limited talent. Blessings.
Lois thanks for sharing your seascape scene watercolour painting, brilliant colours depth and details, that's a beach I've been too many times as we are in south Devon. Thanks greatly appreciated stay safe
Love the rock's technic.... they look so naturally done... I just love how you control the water and paints.. So relaxing and yet so controlled...I know it is from many years of experiences to have such confidence....thanks 🙂
i know this beach scene and love the way you have painted it and must say you make painting it look so easy I don't think it is but thanks and also very happy new year
so beautiful...you are gifted in talking us through and i’m sure it’s harder than it looks but i’m definitely inspired to try this! thank you...subscribing...🎨🌅
Just beautiful. You accomplish so much "detail" with a big brush. I have to try not to spell it all out by painting in the details with a tiny brush. Thank you!
Great watercolour. As a beginner watercolour artist it would be very helpful if you could mention every colour you put down, and maybe how you mix beforehand. Love the painting recognizable seascape thanks.
"This is what exactly I was thinking" this is a sentence that I never can say when I paint. Always I say "this is absolutely far from what I was thinking, but, anyway, go ahead...". When never I try your ideas the result is very far from your art BUT it is not bad. That's mean that your suggestions are so good that something nice happen even if the painter is me! Thanks a lot.
I enjoy using raw sienna in most of my skies now, but I'm curious why you're able to use blues without your skies turning green? One of your recent paintings instantly inspired me to paint my own personal version that was pretty darned good! Even my husband loved it! Thank you, Lois!
I always wash my brush out when changing from yellow to other colours or from dark to light colours and I always paint with paint freshly squeezed from the tube, I find it is the only way to achieve the fresh colours I like with student quality paints
Thankyou, Lois, for sharing your Breathtaking watercolor pictures, while you are painting them!!!!🖼
You are very welcome, thanks so much for your lovely comment 😊💐

That’s a lovely Cerulean blue sky and sea Lois. Very summery.
Thanks so much! It was part of a 2 painting commission and the client wanted a high Cornish summer vibe!
Besides that it is a beautiful painting, like to point your smooth way of explaining it and executing it. It makes it a pleasure to watch you Lois

Must get myself a BIG brush. Your pic is gorgeous and very inspiring. I'll definitely have a go at this one.

That’s beautiful, you make it seem so easy.
Lovely video, great painting, very well presented thanks Lois 👍
Thank you!
Try retaping the sky area before adding the ocean colors; makes the crisp edge on that side as well. Do this all the time; works great. Give it a go.
Juste magique !!!
Thanks so much!
Love it! Love your style.
Excellent!!!

Just beautiful. You accomplish so much "detail" with a big brush. I have to try not to spell it all out by painting in the details with a tiny brush. Thank you!
thanks! the big brushes are far better for loose painting once you get used to them!
Great watercolour. As a beginner watercolour artist it would be very helpful if you could mention every colour you put down, and maybe how you mix beforehand. Love the painting recognizable seascape thanks.

Amazing!

I think it's because raw sienna and yellow ochre are actually browns, so they turn grey when mixed with blue, rather than green.
PS: how do you keep your colours so fresh, Lois?
I always wash my brush out when changing from yellow to other colours or from dark to light colours and I always paint with paint freshly squeezed from the tube, I find it is the only way to achieve the fresh colours I like with student quality paints
The Brisons just add something to the painting, have been trying to paint them for sometime now, but can't quite get the sea right
Superbe ❤❤❤
Lindo demais show 👏🏻
Thanks! 😊💕
👏👏👏👏👏👏
When you say rich do you mean thicker paint?
Yes, more paint and less water so your paint is a richer hue
Where can I buy theses brushes in Australia
I’m afraid I have no idea, I’m from the UK
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
😍
🌻🙏🌷🌹🌸
Thanks!
I absolutely love it! It's georgous! You are so gifted ❤
