clive Howlett thanks so much, it’s why I love loose painting, with a bit of practice and confidence you can suggest so much without detail, although I love detailed painting too 😊💐
Beautiful work, and as always, inspirational. I've only been at this for several months and must say, your landscape looked far better in the first several minutes than something I'd work on for 90 minutes. I definitely can learn very good things from you and happy to subscribe to your channel. Thank you! 🎨
I love your voice, explanation, painting....You teach me much, Thank you very much, it's a pleasure to see you painting, Master Teacher ! Plus, i just love Prussian Blue ***
Ooh, I'm itching to have a go at this one. I must try to get the intensity you manage in the sky Lois. It's always perfect. Thanks for showing us the birds too., it's about time I stopped painting just a tick! Thanks Lois. 😊
O thank you sooo much, Lois! A wonderful work, I love it and will try to do it myself in the afternoon! In these days I have so much time to paint and it helps me to relax and to be with myself and to stay in confidence! (Sorry for my English words, I write from Germany ;-)
I’m interested in your lesson on dry brush tips and techniques that you referred to in this video. Could you share the title or link? I couldn’t find one of that topic. Thank you!
Karen Casebeer the dry brush lesson is on Patreon, as this is a sample video I shared on RUclips to show what sort of things we get up to on Patreon! If you look at the list of tags on the Posts page, it’s there as: Painting Dry Brush 😊💐
Hello madam, I have found your channel last night and I was compelled to go over your painting all the day long and I am still going through them tonight. I am really fascinated by the lovely colours of your works. I am Italian and all the lessons come with subtitles which cover the main process of painting. I am very annoyed by this problem and I would like to watch you without subtitles. What do you suggest me to do to avoid this inconvenient? Thank you for the help and my best compliments for your art.
Hi, this one was a while ago so I can't remember, but it would most likely have been either Saunders Waterford or Millford 100% cotton cold pressed paper, either 90lb or 140lb weight :-)
Thank you for the tutorial, you’re very talented. I have noticed, however, that your videos are filmed in portrait instead of landscape mode. You may have a good reason for recording this way, but if not, more of your paper may be in the video if recorded in landscape. Actually it’s a square , isn’t it🙂 Again, thank you for the tutorial.
So enjoyable to watch and learn. Wonderful teacher. THANKYOU
In one sweep of the brush you had what looked like highly detailed surf - absolutely brilliant Lois.

Lois can I ask where the dry brush video is?
It’s on my Patreon page, this video is an example of the content found there
Thanks
Would yellow ochre work for the raw sienna?
It would, however, yellow ochre is a more powerful colour so use it lightly and it should be fine!
Thanks
amazing

👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you!
I’ll try to accomplish something like you showed.Hello from south Brasil.
Which paper do you use ?
Hi, this one was a while ago so I can't remember, but it would most likely have been either Saunders Waterford or Millford 100% cotton cold pressed paper, either 90lb or 140lb weight :-)
Okay thank you mam for your suggestions 💯☺️
How's that your paper didn't buckle... Nice
I clip it on all 4 corners, and as it buckles, I unclip it and pull the paper tight, so I stretch it as I go along!
