Mariah tells the tale of a night shift trauma nurse so well! We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to partner with Indeed and showcase Mariah's experience. Thank you, Indeed, for highlighting a day-in-the-life (or rather, night-in-the-life) of one of our heroes in healthcare.
she is born to be an emergency nurse with a smile on her face from start to finish...that is VERY hard to do with such a stressful job....shows how resilient and well coping she is. good for her!
Nursing seems like a hard job. You have to keep a clean/professional image, be intelligent & organized, be good with time management, have a good knowledge of acronyms, log-ins, passwords, medicines, symptoms, illnesses, procedures, have good people skills (wether it’s bedside manner, or with co-workers) be physically able to stand for long hours, & be compassionate dealing with all sorts of strangers (different ages, ethnicities, races, economic status, & mental states) You basically have to be a well-rounded Jack-of-all-trades. Seems like a very demanding job.
Hey Mariah! Girl your eyelashes were on ten 💯☝️🥰 you make a great R.N. I hope to one day soon further my education and you're exactly right in the medical field you can never stop learning! True indeed! ❤️❤️❤️Much love to all healthcare workers who are exposed and putting their lives at risk for others! There is a special place in heaven for you ❤️❤️❤️☝️
I'm just trying live like a registered nurse should and have all of the things my salary can afford. After twenty one years of nursing, that's not asking alot and doesn't require me to do anything but live my life. I'm thanking God in advance for a normal nurse life!
@@Thirsty-Muse the trauma department is often the sector with the most critical-care pts, handling a lot of gunshot wounds, stab wounds, vehicular accident victims, etc. definitely not for the squeamish, and also very difficult !!
I work cvicu and any nurse that says they love it is either new or a liar. This job sucks the life out of you, you’re treated like shit by everyone including but not limited to patients families staff, physicians, and most of all the Karen’s in HR. Always have more on you with tons of liability, and no protection. No one represents us no one stands up for us and no one throws us under the bus more than other nurses. I’m one year away from my FNP and I’m doing something else I will not miss bedside nursing or the bureaucracy involved

Nursing is very demanding and the public and hospital administration DOESN'T APPRECIATE THEM.
