Have owned an fx35 for 14yrs and still love this car. Drives beautifully and is particularly suitable for the mountainous terrain where I live. The power and growl, love it.
Passion? he didn´t even know how to operate the headlight leveling feature, and its an SUV because of the platform that it uses and the type of construction that it has, not because of the cargo volume.
I like your style man. I work for a pretty high volume dealer so I see alot of these, cars Id say would be best bang for buck(depending on the region) when it comes to luxury: In general, any "Base" model BMW, Mercedes, Audi, that is 3 years old. Depending on the season the market will be flooded with certain models that had a great lease special from 2-3 years ago 2-4 Year old C Class Mercedes- Market is fucking FLOODed with them 10-2012 G37s- Similar issue, performance is on par with a BMW or Mercedes E, nicer drive with less issues Pre 07/08 335is-More expensive in cost but its a Twin Turbo V6 BMW you could get for 10-15k with under 100k miles any Lexus CT200H or HS- Much nicer prius for pretty much the same price Overall I love Infiniti, great drive, good car, cheap to maintain. However if credit is good, consider leasing a new version of what you are looking at. Most of these cars will/could have a major repair within 3 years costing thousands. If you find a lease for 350 a month, thats 12600 over 3 years (plus what you put down) for usually free service and factory warranties that cover everything.
Derrell Obrien really great suggestions! I think we speak the same language. Bmw repairs are absolutely absurd. My buddy's 328i starter went on his 07 and it cost him $1700 when the starter was $125. The reason, you have to take off the intake manifold and replace the gasket to get to the starter. Smh i got scare and check the labor to replace the starter in my CLS. It was just removing the skid play 😮 what the heck is wrong with BMW? Not to say they're not nice, i dont want to start a war, but geez!
I was offered a 04 fx35 for 3500 it's has 190k miles it has new front bearings, drive line, tires , breaks, roters, oil gasket and struts no salvage title is this worth it?
New Subscriber here! I can't afford my own car right now and a series like this appeals to me in a big way. I'm only 24, but I would kill for some luxury cars made even in the 90's! other than the sound problems a great video WELL DONEI bought a 2004 FX35 with 108000 miles. Its a Great car took it on a 4K road trip not a problem at all. Only real problem on the interior is the a bubbling dash. The dash on this one looks great. This is basically a SUV body on G35 frame drive train. Had a small transmission leak when I bought it corrected with a service. Its a great vehicle
5:16 The purpose of this is to move the headlights up and down. Sometimes when you have a campervan or a big heavy load attached to your car the back end of the car goes down due to the weight and the front end goes up so the headlights have to be re adjusted in height so they focus on the road instead of the sky.
in 2003 FX45 with 20 inch rims, even today its optional on brand new mid size SUV. This SUV was way ahead of its time I have one 04 FX45 its amazing, its a true Sports Utility Vehicle. Buy one and you would never regret

@@hereandnow8578 I don't have a ton of knowledge on this SUV but I'm a sucker for the 1st gen. I like 06-08. But the 2nd gen is nice too if you want a better interior and don't mind the exterior changes.
A word about sound editing. We don't really pay attention to constant background noise. But we sure do notice when it is missing. It detaches the audience away from the material. When you silence it, you are quite literally closing a door to the scene. You don't want close it in the middle of it ;) There are couple of tricks and first of course is to use crossfades in the audio even if the image fades to black between shots. One "secret" of the industry is to record background ambience; in each shot, leave few seconds of silence at the end or beginning. Use only the audio from those "silent seconds" to fill out the spaces if you need to edit audio. For ex, at the end of shot, someone starts talking a bit too soon thinking it's over (maybe the most common mistake) or we want to edit out something that happens off camera, a loud clank, camera man kicking something for ex..We never want to end up with totally dead silent "void" until we switch to next scene. And of course, windsocks when you are outside and in the car cabinet start cutting the low end around
SquidCaps yep i'll keep at it, I'm just a guy with a camera and a dream. The dream, having people smiling on their way to work everyday because they're in the ride they appreciate the most. I do it everyday in my (roughly brought back to life) 944 or when back needs a break CLS. A friend once came to me overjoyed because he bought the car I had recommended to him. I just want to repeat that feeling over and over!

I've always wanted a BMW Z3 since I first saw them. I may finally start shopping in the next couple years for something in that ballpark used, but I'm just assuming right away that the Z4 is the better option due to better availability of parts for service, etc. Having little to no mechanical knowledge though, I'm a bit worried about the maintenance costs for simpler repairs compared to the less expensive cars I've owned. How much of a shock should I expect to be in for? Should I be considering anything else in a similar flavor instead/also?

Two big problems with high mileage FXs, motor mounts and front drive shaft u-joints on AWDs, these are pricey repairs.
