Thx for the great tutoriaI and just for completeness: With a real snare, you have to tension the head or „Fell“. Noise Loose tries to recreate how tight it is.
The thought is there but the sound isn't. No matter what you do, the Drum synth just doesn't have that same character, quality and Timbre of acoustic drums. If the Drum synth had more models, especially of Acoustic kits, I would use it a lot more. I honestly liked the raw break at the beginning better than the version with the Drum synth. Hopefully in a firmware update Akai will add more models to the Drumsynth.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I mean it's not perfect but the idea came across. To each their own. That's why you should try using it for layering, and tweak it to your taste. Use it in your own way. I don't think they aimed to emulate acoustic drums with this. It's quite literally electronic drums, built from synthesis. I doubt I'd ever use these Drum Synths raw/without other samples (although they do have a rad drum machine vibe). Saying that, I'm also sure that you can probably make them slap with additional processing 🤷🏻 If you want realistic acoustic drum sounds, I definitely recommend using samples instead of trying to synthesize them from scratch like this.
Cool video and info on drumsynth, definitely an under utilized plug-in.
Definitely! Glad you enjoyed!
Fantastic demonstration and information. Definitely will be using this to beef up some drum samples
Awesome, thanks for watching! Glad you found it helpful 🙌🏼

Ah, that makes sense! I didn’t make that connection. Thanks for sharing and watching! 🙌🏼
Nice, drumsynth is great.
It sure is! Thanks for watching!
If you got more dope Akai demos then I got to sub!
Yeah, I've got a couple and more are coming 🙌🏼
Very nice tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
really useful and helpful thanks
Stoked to hear that, thanks for watching!
Sad since Akai gave us this, I never used it so thanks! I’ll be using now
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
Nice one!
Thanks for watching! 🙌

@WatermarkHigh 💯Thanks for making the video. The principle makes sense so I'll probably try it in my DAW with plug-ins and see what I come up with.
