you prolly dont care but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I was dumb lost my login password. I love any help you can give me
@Gerald Tyler Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This is exactly why I came back to my mpcx because NO OTHER MACHINE has sample offset. That’s how I would create my snares and clap stacks or design custom drums that sound perfect. I own the push, 4 Maschines and multiple drum vsts. Grove agent in Cubase is the only that has this feature but it’s too click and doesn’t feel the same. Crazy because yesterday on J Dilla’s birthday I came back “Home” to my roots. The Mpc kept calling me all week even in my dreams and I’m back to it. Been producing for 16 years and I have decades to go on the MPC. Much respect.
\m/ THANK you for a new (just getting to this, so new to me) angle on quicker drum development. Absolutely perfect. So expandable and customizable, yet still so minimal in structure.
Gotta have that blooming bubbly sound at around 00:52. Sounds like it could be any sort of keys sample low pass and chopped or just a synth. Incredible stuff
Ok Ok...I got it I got it... im gonna try this out after I finish watching Wonder Woman1984... Your dedication to your craft and insights are very inspiring
@@drk_fi Slice up the break in Simpler. Convert to drum rack and manipulate slices so you have control over them. Not all the MPC heads' process is required. If that make sense.
Ok this is the question. Ableton. Marlow ain't talking about chopping breaks. He's talking about giving your one shots a 'break feel'. Part of that i think involves creating air between one shots by offsetting the sample. I can't work out how to do this in Ableton. Doing this with a straight up drum break is pretty standard.
So I’m waiting on my MPC one to arrive in the mail. Haven’t touched any kind of drum machine or sampler in about 15 years. BUT, I’m kinda understanding what you’re saying. My 1st 3 drum machines were the dr-202 and then I eventually got an Alesia which I hated. The dr-202 was easy after the 3rd one I bought. I’m just now understanding this “workflow” terminology and how the MPC series work. Excellent video. Just subscribed and hope you have more on the way. Thank you sir.
i know right? i have the 2500 and it's a rough experience, i was thinking of selling it but decided to keep it but i watch this workflow now and im like man this is so much better. people who say the old MPCs are better don't know.
@@256k_ You can do things like this on the 2500, but you definitely need JJOS installed. I hated mine with the default OS but it got so much better with just the free version of JJOS.
I did try this technique sort of out but know lick but know I've seen you actually do it some much respect I need to become a patron for this guy doll a month
Are you able to post a program of this.. that has the triggers and offsets already there and we could just add our own kicks snares and high hats? That would be awesome.
I am always thinking outside the box and very rarely am I super impressed but dude!!!! You super impressed me with this a code I was looking for I appreciate you for this!!
@@mpchead Damn the internet is small ... LOL!! I am pleased to hear that as well (You Benn Watching my Vids) I am a fan and keep up the Awesome work you got skills!!
Again a really thought provoking production tip.👍maybe a good one to expand on for your patreon channel. Particularly each chop. How you work out which hits to pair per pad. That's just personal suggestion 👍
Not for nothing- i can appreciate the fact you have drum sounds snd programs all loaded up n ready to go- that is amazing- is there side chain effects?
@@mpchead Oh Great thanks. I guess the feel/swing depends on the tempo of the track. I love how you displace some stuff and get it all swaggy. I'm not sure how to get that vibe but I love it. thanks man!
@Marlow Digs very interesting video! Could you explain a bit more on how to use them, some extra tips ob how to drum with them? I'm feeling this could be a big revelation but I could use some more in depth explanation on how to play / implement those blocks
Enjoyed watching this, i would've bought a touch/live a long time ago, but i HATE that the knobs are on the right :) I'll stick with my mpc studio for now, although the touch is sooooo much easier
Man can you be my mentor please? I have the MPC Live still in the box, it just looks a little overwhelming to me. The way you explain this looks so smooth on your part, but for a person like me not so smooth. I appreciate any help you can give. You sure? I'm pretty sure most MPC's have an offset feature. Or something similar.
If it’s a sample with some space before, the deluge can do it.
I've watched this over and over and I learn different aspects each time. A holy grail.
thanks for tuning in ✌🏼

One more sub, you’re such a likable person and your vids go beyond pure academic. Cheers
Thanks for the sub 🙏🏼
keep it going Marlow I've done learned a lot with my MPC TOUCH because of you I appreciate thanks.

Been using this technique for about a month. Not only is it helpful, it's fun. Absolutely remarkable! Thanks Mr. Digs!
Excellent !!! Love it Marlo

If I am not mistaken it was sampled from Isley Brothers - Don't say goodnight
It's a sample that I heard on a dilla beat before. I'm not good with names though so I have no clue which beat it was
