- You don't want to miss this one. I found this Painted Mid-Century 6 Drawer Lowboy Dresser at the thrift store for $35. The Dresser was made by Drexel Furniture Company, one of my favorite furniture manufacturers from the 1960s. Because of all the details on this dresser, removing the paint will prove to be difficult. In this video we will discuss the possible new furniture trends for 2022. You won't believe the transformation! Thank you for watching.

Amazing transformation. It always makes me sad to see quality old furniture that has been, more often than not, badly painted. I blame the shabby chic craze of the recent past. Let's hope more people will learn to appreciate the natural beauty of wood and furniture design, be it mid-century or earlier periods.
Let's hope it is just a trend
My thoughts to a T JP Purves
It’s always part of a pyramid scheme too. They buy the paint and the ‘right’ to sell the paint. But they have to prepay and buy in bulk. Worse it is always cheap paint and part of some magic system that doesn’t require sanding or prep work. It ALWAYS bubbles and flakes off eventually.
the ikea minimalism and farmhouse looks are also hitting antiques hard. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen gorgeous pieces just painted bright white and left that way or then “distressed” to look all worn, without care for the actual item at all
@@arcatia66 unfortunately I often have to tell people the antique phonograph, radio, or tv they want to sell was only worth money BEFORE they turned it into the kitschy fish tank, bar, “art” piece.
I am blown away at this restoration. Your hard work and patience paid off in a big way. The hidden drawer is so cool! I keep all the cards and notes that my nieces and nephews have given me over the years and I would use that little drawer for those keepsakes. Transcend and Flipping Drawers are awesome channels. I look forward to their videos, along with yours, every week. Have a great day!
Hi Marcella. This is the best idea yet for that hidden drawer. You obviously have some things that are very special. Thank you for sharing. Barry
You are a first American that I found very soft spoken and well manner when speaking, I am not into mid century furniture but it was enjoyable because of you, cheers my friend.
Wow. Thank you for this feedback! Barry
Stunner. I would love for you to do a video of your home, showing all your restorations. My notification bell is set so I know when to watch the next video. You're amazing, Barry, and I only wish you were closer so I could bring you two very special pieces that I own to restore. Thank you for your channel.
I may do a video like that in the spring. Great suggestion. And thank you for joining the other channel Tom. Barry
That dresser is magnificent! As always you did a fantastic job . I'm looking forward to your new channel. Just don't overextend yourself. I also watch Angie and Jay's channels. Always a pleasant ending like yours.
Thank you Gail. I will try to do one video per week per channel. I think that will be the limit. Thank you for your support. Barry
Great job! This beautiful dresser has come back to life.
Thank you Rosa
Absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful 💖
Thank you Simone! Barry
It has a warm finish that I adore!
Love the hidden drawer! I need one now! 😄
Amazing clean up of the hardware, I had no idea it could be done without harsh chemicals! 👍
I will sub to your tool restoration channel as I find tools fascinating and have collected many different old ones.
Hi Angel. Thank you for such a detailed comment. I love this. Would love to hear about the things you have collected. Barry
I have to say that your videos are a new obsession for me! I love how you refinish furniture! You are an artist my friend! You do an outstanding job!
Thanks so much 😊
U restore it! How lovely, new here but you won me over. Lot of love from Canada to a kind soul. Keep on going!
Welcome! I am always excited to see when anyone says they are new to the channel. Thank you for watching. Canada has been so supportive. Barry
This piece turned out gorgeous....labor of love !!
Thank you Nancy. Barry
You make amazing furniture am sure you girl friend loves what you do
Thank you
That turned out beautifully. I also love the addition of the pay it forward story. Hope you broach 1,000/4,000 in record time!
Wow. Thank you. I love your channel
one word: fantastic!
So kind of you, Amaia. Thank you.

Wow! Great job! What a beautiful transformation! God bless! Susan from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Thank you so much, Susan!

WONDERFUL JOB!!!
Thank you. Barry
Lovely. Warmed my heart.
Beautiful job. 😍
Thank you Nadine : ) Barry
Beautiful job!
Thank you again Christine
Beautiful
Thank you Sandrea
Oh my gosh! That woodgrain❤️
I agree Barbara
That dresser looks great, and I also enjoy watching Flippingdrawer’s videos. You should do a video returning a thrift store purple dresser to its original glory!
Genius idea! I will be refinishing another painted dresser this week. I may have found my niche and you're one of the first to know : ) I'll be on the lookout for painted dressers in the thrift stores now
Angie was the first or second person that I watched and Subscribed to that does restorations. So when you mentioned her as to the person who turned you on to Oldies and I thought..okay that’s what I can send to you! A jar of this expensive product lol too bad ya can’t hide it in that secret little compartment 😂 well done as usual and beautiful.
She is amazing! Welcome to the channel. Thank you for your support. Barry
At least when they painted, they kept it out of the landfill. That's the worst. Nice job on a proper restoration.
I agree with this
I should’ve known you’re from Wisconsin from the channel name!! Fellow Madisonian here 👋🏼 though I live Up North now…
Hi Katy. Always encouraged to see locals in the comments. Thank you for the support. Barry
Just found your channel love it..
Hi Diane! Welcome to the channel. I hope you enjoy the other videos. Thank you for the support. Barry
Wow
Thank you!
First, let me congratulate you on an excellent restoration of the Drexel Dresser. It is from their 'Triune '
line, made in the early 60s, and the wood used is NOT Walnut, it is MAHOGANY ! These, when restored
properly, sell for hundreds of dollars - much more than when they are covered in crappy looking paint !
I must say, I cringe when I see beautiful pieces like this subjected to the 'Shitty Chalk ' treatment -
anyone putting paint on beautiful wood like that will hopefully be condemned to spend their
eternity stripping that crappy looking chalk paint off of dressers.
I love seeing detailed messages like this. I am always very open to learning more about the pieces I am working on. They don't teach us much about this in healthcare. Thank you for giving the details. Any ways to easily identify Mahogany?
@@MadCityModern Hi Barry, I enjoy your videos very much. They are soothing and therapeutic for me to watch. I am also in the healthcare field and ANYTHING I find soothing and therapeutic is greatly cherished of late. We actually have this exact piece of furniture - un painted - but perhaps in need of a re-finish (your video tickles my motivation!) An inside label (in addition to the stamp) in top right hand drawer does state (in all caps) : "ALL EXPOSED STRUCTURAL PARTS AND PLYWOOD FACES GUARANTEED GENUINE MAHOGANY GENUINE MAHOGANY GROWS ONLY IN THE WEST INDIES TROPICAL AMERICA AND WEST COAST AFRICA THIS LABEL ISSUED UNDER PENALTY CONTRACT NUMBER 160 MAHOGANY ASSOCIATION, INC. COPYRIGHT - ???" (That part of label missing). In addition to the stamp and the label is a small metal plate nailed in place: "MAHOGANY AWARDS - HIGHEST AWARD - CRAFTSMANSHIP AND DESIGN - 1960" .
The original (I assume) top drawer knobs are on this piece. The "secret" pocket space is there - along with what I would refer to as a "cufflink tray" (?) that slides front to back in the left top drawer. I have taken photos if you would like to see them. We purchased this piece about 18 years ago for about $60- if I recall correctly. We are in Texas. All the best to you and again - LOVE your work, videos and commentary.
Do you every resell the items that you restore if so how can we buy them from you?
I don't often sell, but are you local?
@@MadCityModern I live in kansas City Ks.
Absolutely beautiful. It always makes me sad to see quality wood furniture like that painted.
Thank you very much, Art! I appreciate the support.
Barry
Beautiful restoration. I like to see when a good piece of furniture is restored rather than painted over. Love your recording style and sensibility.
Thank you. These comments are so encouraging. Barry
yeah agreed but if it was properly painted it could also look nice.
Beautiful restoration, such a lovely piece of furniture under all that paint. I have come to hate all that distressed "farmhouse" and "shabby chic" look, or drawers painted and covered with mod podge appliques. Particularly when it's committed on such a quality piece like this one.
I agree with you Lee. Thank you for the feedback and support. Barry
I feel like the dresser breathed a sigh of relief after being covered in all that paint.
Beautiful job!
Well said. Thank you for this comment. Barry
Wow, the finish is on the dresser is gorgeous! A hidden drawer/box?! I've never heard of, let alone seen, such a cool feature! I bet it looks as good or better than the day it was manufactured. Great job!
Hi Beverly! This secret drawer surprised me as well. I was lucky to find it. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. Barry
As much as I appreciate your craftsmanship and artistry (and patience!) I appreciate as much or more your apparent reverence for the pieces you choose to make pretty again. Today I found one more thing to add to my appreciation list, your humility and desire to serve others. A beautiful thing.
Comments like yours make my day, Kristi. Thank you for your kindness.
Barry
Oh YEAAAAHHHH! Knocked it clear out of the park! That finish just glows!! 🙏
Also- you totally nailed the cozy part- I totally want to hang out by that fire with hot chocolate! Hahaha
Nice job, Barry. ❤️❤️
Thank you Angie! I love your videos and can't believe how many of your videos I found as I was searching for Odie's Ideas. I think I have watched all your videos : ) Barry
Totally agree with you Angie !
I love watching furniture flipping transformation videos, but most of the time I feel like there is something lacking with with pieces like this. Paint has its place and can work wonders, but a true restoration is truly beautiful and fitting when possible. Thank you for taking these pieces of history and bringing them back to the way they were originally meant to look and more. Absolutely stunning!
Hi Vanessa! I really appreciate you bringing attention to my approach. I hope to find more pieces like this to do proper restorations. Thank you for supporting the channel. Barry
Just WOW! Love that restoration. Not every piece of furniture needs to be painted. So glad you brought it back to its original beauty. Love that little hidden bin. I would use it to store valuables - if I had any. Lol. Subscribed to the new channel and look forward to watching it as well. 🥳
Hi Shirley. I love seeing comments like yours. I am overwhelmed by the amount of support from so many viewers, including you. Thank you for watching, and for supporting both channels. New tool video should be uploaded today. Dresser video this weekend. Barry
First of all… WOW that turned out amazing 🤩 the finish is beautiful and definitely super cozy. Second, you’re so nice mate 🥰 thanks for all the love. This is an awesome video !
You're a great friend!
Thank you for un-painting it!
I guess I never knew you were a fellow health care worker (or I forgot...I'm old LOL) THANK YOU for doing what you do in this crazy time. I almost died from covid variant pneumonia, and I owe the folks who cared for me so much more than my life. Once I was fully treated with 2 rounds of Moderna I volunteered to help out in our small hospital and I routinely bake for and loan out my truck to the traveling HCWs so they can get out of the hotel once in a while. I've been refinishing furniture for decades, but I've learned a lot watching both you and Angie...Thank you for these videos!
So glad your story has an amazing ending. Hope you are well, and trust me, the work you are doing now to pay it forward is appreciated by so many people. Don't stop finding ways to help others. I'm certain you are an amazing human being
What a stunning piece! This popped up in my suggested videos, and is the first video of yours I've seen, but I think I'll spend the next few days binging all of your other ones. Thank you for sharing the work you do!
Hey Chris. Thank you for watching. Welcome to the channel. I keep hearing how this video is popping up in the suggested videos for new viewers. This is all new to me. Thanks for the support. The channel has come a long way so keep that in mind as you watch the older less polished videos. Barry
I feel like this piece must be thanking you for bringing it back to its glory. There's a lot of low-quality furniture out there to be painted and made over and that's great. But it's sad to see when true quality wood pieces are mistreated by flippers. Yes to beautiful wood!
Thank you, Melissa. I love the natural wood grain beauty.
Barry
Thank you for bringing this piece of furniture back to its former beauty.
You always do a careful and thorough job.
Hi Rosalie! Thank you. I still have so much to learn but I am so grateful for such a supportive RUclips family. Barry
That looks so much better than before! And I like your thoughts.
While painting is always an option, I like wood because of its inherent beauty. The asymmetry of painting is that it's a lot more work to undo than to do in the first place.
I wonder if a layer of shellac under the paint could be encouraged, partly as a way to make it more readily removed.
This is one of my favorite comments. This is the approach I am trying to take. Saying it is ok for others to paint, but just not my first choice. Regarding laminate, I'll paint over that all day everyday : ) Barry
You totally gave a new life to a beautiful piece of furniture. Thank you for mentioning this overdone furniture painting thing. I definitely see the benefits in painting furniture SOME TIMES. I am also a huge, huge fan of Angie on Transcend Furniture Gallery and I have noticed that she will refinish the original wood/wood veneer on pieces as much as possible. On those pieces with no hope of refinish, she paints. That makes such perfect sense to me. I must admit I am a wood and “natural” snob but definitely understand there are times and reasons to paint. Angie loves to emphasize saving pieces from the landfill. Amen to that! Paint or landfill?? No brainer there. Thanks for this great video.
Thank you for sharing Liz. Angie is a good friend
I do love Angie’s channel and keep up with all her videos. I should have suspected these two restorers would be friends as they both love to restore wooden furniture to its former glory. I also am right there with you with regards to painting furniture and the shabbily chic trend. I certainly can admire the style when it is well done but it is not for me. I kept my 70’s furniture so long that it is back in again and i still love it. It gets its occasional coat of Howards Feed and Wax and it glows. Some people have that ability to see beauty in a scruffy worn piece and they don’t just save it, they recreate it. As long as it is sturdy it is definitely a win. Bless them both and all those that see beauty when the rest of us just walk on by.
As a woodworker, I have always had a hard time painting wood furniture, regardless of trends. This is an absolutely beautiful restoration, great job.
Wow. Thanks Brad
As a former mover, I appreciate that you called the horizontal dresser a "low boy". For those that don't know, a vertical dresser is called a "tall boy".
Thank you for this : )
Another beautifully done restoration. I also hope this a direction for the future.
Thank you Donna. I enjoy your comments. Barry
That’s an excellent restoration!! Really beautiful work and clearly a good decision on the finish; it glows!
Thank you Jesse. Yes, that fire against the odie's made it glow
Looks wonderful. More timeless and much less trendy than when it was painted.
I agree. Thank you. Barry
You did an amazing job on this piece. The final result is so beautiful. You must have spent so much time stripping every last bit of that paint off and sanding this piece. The work you put in really shows.
Time well spent, but not sure I want to do that for every project. Thank you for the support and the friendship! Barry
Not only are you a great furniture restorer but also a very decent man. Keep up the good work!
I'm also looking forward to following your new channel.
Thank you. I am grateful for all the wonderful people who continue to support the channel, including you Gina. Barry
Not sure why someone covered up such a breathtakingly beautiful piece. Thank you so much for giving it its beautiful life back.
Hi Melissa. I agree. Thank you for the comment. Barry
Just saw someone on Instagram painting a quarter sawn oak gorgeous dresser. Aghhh, all it needed was a refresh - never paint. It hurts 💔 inside to see that.
Just subscribed, beautiful job. I will enjoy watching your other projects.
@@MadCityModern
When I see real wood painted …I cringe 😬. I swear I’m going to have my Cherry dining set cremated with me to keep it from being painted
Beautiful job! A gorgeous piece that was well worth the effort, LOVE the secret drawer. Good work as always Barry, top notch!
Thank you very much!
Barry
That is stunning! One of the most gorgeous pieces of furniture I have ever seen.
Wow! Thank you for this! Barry
I’m there with you Marry 😉
I like how you pay attention to the little details besides the main stuff the music you have in the background with the bird sounds just adds to the high quality of this video, perfect finishing touches not just to the dresser but also your video presentation! So impressive I hope you grow as a channel more and more ✌🏼💛
I really appreciate this comment. Thank you for sharing. Barry
This dresser turned out beautiful! Thank you for restoring it to its former glory
I just picked up a MSM Drexel dining table off FBMP. I hope I can restore it as well as you did with this piece. It has some veneer damage so I’ve been watching yours and Angie’s videos to learn more about the process.
Can't wait to hear how it goes! Please let me know how I can help. Barry
It always makes me happy when I see old furniture being restored to its original state, it turned out absolutely amazing 💕💕💕💕💕
Thank you Angela
So happy to hear you are aware of Angie’s site. The two of you do such beautiful work restoring furniture. Such a pleasure to watch.
She is incredible
Angie is one of my favourites too, and the reason I started following furniture restoration channels! She was the first furniture flipper I started following and now I've added many of them to my channels list! :D Furniture flipping is such a pleasant genre, I especially enjoy removing the old paint/finishing and applying new finishes parts. And of course final reveal with old and new comparison shots. And I like to follow those who are kind and are not putting down other RUclipsrs for their choices and preferences on how they do stuff. I was so happy to see Angie being mentioned in this video, and now I even like this channel more. Nice community feeling.
Drexel definitely has my heart when it comes to furniture. My dad inherited a beautiful desk and I grabbed myself an end table from a junk removal job for an older lady that was otherwise going to a landfill, both of which are thankfully free of paint and in great shape. They made some fantastic and sturdy furniture over the years, and finding pieces in good shape is definitely worth the money. Well done, amazing job!
Just a bit of constructive criticism for future videos: If you have the ability with the camera you use, try to set the focus manually for some of your close up shots so that your hand movement doesn't cause it to lose focus. Otherwise You do a fantastic job and I'm glad I found your channel!
Well Said! I have been pleased with the quality of all the Drexel pieces I have found. Glad you feel the same. What I realized was, when working with gloved hands, I often bump certain settings on the camera and don't notice until it is too late. Doing my best to keep the quality top notch. Please keep giving constructive criticism in the future. To some, it may seem harsh, but I truly appreciate it. Barry
@@MadCityModern I am very glad you don't take criticism the wrong way. Thanks for responding!
Not at all. I welcome the criticism. I learn so much from my faithful viewers. Occassionaly there is a nasty comment, but those are rare
So glad that you took the extra time and effort needed to remove the paint from this beautiful dresser. A natural wood finish is timeless in my opinion. Keep up the great work!
Thank you Tim. It just amazes me how the prep work takes 3 days and the final application takes an hour. Let me know if you ever have suggestions how I can continue to improve. Thank you for your support. Barry
How wonderful to watch you salvaging this beautiful piece! I admit that I am absolutely against painting quality furniture. It really upsets me. Thanks 😊
Hi Isabelle. So glad you feel this way and thank you for sharing and supporting the channel. Barry
Another absolutely amazing piece! I so appreciate that you take the time and expend the effort to do each piece right! No rushing or cutting corners with your pieces! I can see where you would be friends with Jay at Flipping Drawers. You both approach and execute your restoration projects the same way. And both of you routinely turn out exquisite pieces! I can't wait to see more of your videos.
Wow. Thank you Frankie
Wow what a beautiful piece! And love the cone knob choice on the top drawers! We added that to our recent MCM makeover also 😄
Thank you! I struggled to find the right ones, but then remembered these knobs came from an amazing viewer. Barry
What resonated with me is not only the fine craftsmanship, but your kind soul and selflessness.
Paying it forward is definitely the best thing we as a people can do, period. This made me try harder in that aspect as an individual, as I have zero skill in craft.
Cheers, and have a warm holiday.
Subbed and belled! I'll keep watching.
Thank you for recognizing this! Barry
I love how this turned out. So good! I watched a few of your other videos and bought the detail scrapers you used. Got to use them this last Saturday on a small drop leaf table I’m working on. OMG… I hated them. UNTIL… i finally got the groove. I am still working on the table but I found it more relaxing than I thought I would scraping off all the finish. Definitely enjoy that more than using a stripper or sanding. I used your link to purchase. I see a few other things I may have to purchase as well.
This makes perfect sense. I hated using the scrapers the first few times. You said it best. Once you get in a groove it can be relaxing and is actually much better than using the stripper. Thank you for sharing this
Just stunning! It’s hard to beat the old, well made, quality pieces of furniture. I have to say that you truly did this one justice! I just subscribed to this channel and look forward to more of your videos.
Hi Kay! Welcome. These are the projects I enjoy the most! Thank you for watching. Barry
The RUclips algorithm brought me here… Your amazing work made me stay. I work as a handyman as a side business but restring old pieces is my passion. It’s so sad to see what has happened to beautifully crafted pieces. Thanks to guys and galls like you more ppl will be able to see these works of art in their former glory. Keep up the great work. This is one of my favorite comments. Sounds like we have a lot in common. This has also become my passion, and I want to continue to find ways to get better. Any suggestions you have along the way would be appreciated. Thanks for your support. Barry
I would say some router bits should help. :) keep up the good work… keep paying it forward. It’s a great and fulfilling way to live.
I love your history lessons!!! I am a nerd for that stuff!!
Thank you. I hope to do more of that. Really enjoyed your collaboration with Jay at FlippingDrawers
What type of pad are you using for the Ode's Oil application?
Excellent restoration.
Non-abrasive applicator pad. Lint-free cloth would work. Hope this helps
Painting a piece of furniture like this one is a "criminal" act. This is beautiful.
Great job.

Beautiful, Barry. Was it laminate...looks solid.I also watch Transcend with Angie.Great work.
Hi Monica. No Laminate on this one. Solid top with veneer on the sides. This was such a fun piece to work on. Glad you enjoy Angie's work as well. Barry
I might not be too popular on this channel. I strongly dislike painting furniture, especially well made and antique furniture. I’d much rather see it restored with stain, wax or oil. Painting should only be a last resort for a piece that is too damaged to be restored. People slap chalk paint on furniture, say they are ‘upcycling’ it, and are all proud if it, when in reality they just ruined a classic piece of furniture. As you can tell, I feel strongly about this touchy subject. 😬 And, this video is a classic example supporting my dislike of painting furniture. You made this piece better than new. Waaay better than anything painted.
Hey Rob. I prefer refinishing furniture using stains and oils as well. I didn't want to be too hard on the painted furniture audience since this video will reach a larger community. That said, I don't disagree with anything you said. I appreciate your support. Barry
Beautiful job! Thanks for being one of the people who wants to keep the old things alive 🙏🏻
Thank you for watching. Doing my best. Barry
I would say, that back in the day, that little hidden drawer would have been where people would put jewelry or other small valuables when they left the house for a vacation. My mom used to do the same thing, stashing anything valuable in a sock and sticking it behind a dresser drawer.
I think it is amazing
Beautiful! One would hardly know it was the same dresser. Why would anybody paint hardware? I find that especially odd.
No idea
Ive recently discovered your channel, I love your work. It’s amazing to watch you.
Welcome to the channel Brian!
The cleverly hidden drawer could hold rolled up family history documents or a collection of jewelry or momentos from a loved one.
yes!
You brought this misused beauty back to life! But please don´t try to compensate for grace you have received. I understand that you want to be motivated to show grace and kindness to others. And I highly appreciate this. But please don´t let it be a kind of "paying back". "But when you host a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind, and you will be blessed. Since they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.” Luke 14:13-14
Barry... I love the quality of this piece and the way you finished it with the oil. I would love to know what is in that oil product. The secret compartment is a great feature! I was fortunate enough to buy a bedroom suite, some years ago, that had already been refinished with an oil finish. Inside the drawers it says Gibbard Furniture Shops Limited Established 1837 Napanee Canada. The logo is not a paper label, it is burned into the wood. The suite has a kind of Victorian look to it. The tops of all the pieces are solid wood, but I don't know what kind of wood it is. The legs have tiny wheels on the bottoms. All the hardware is exquisite and solid brass. I got the bed, a high dresser, a lower dresser with large mirror and a vanity dresser with large mirror, all matching pieces. I really treasure it. The Gibbard Company is no longer in existence, but I think it had a long run and always produced high quality pieces. The mirrors do show that they are old, but I have no idea how old my set is, as it was purchased at a "garage sale". The whole house full of furniture was for sale and I also got an incredible sofa with matching chairs that I had professionally re-upholstered in burgundy velvet.
Very nice...congratulacion....from Brasil/Pr/Londrina City
Wow. Thank you for the support from Londrina City Brazil! Barry
It should be a sin to paint beautiful wood like that!
I hate when people paint over Furniture. Cabinets, Wood panel walls, Wood Doors and Windows, and Brick Fireplaces. For the Brick Fireplaces, I'm one of a few people that go in and spends hours upon hours removing the paint from it. (DO NOT PAINT BRICK FIREPLACES. They are Not For painting over.)
Are you referring to my fireplace ?
@@MadCityModern No, I just dont like Fireplaces Painted. So In my area, I go around and put flyers out For paint removed from brick fireplaces.
Well said. I'm not a fan of the painted fireplace either. I applied white mortar to mine so I think the finish was appropriate. Was going for a German Smear look. I hate to use the word "dated" but I wasn't a fan of the 90s brick when I purchased my home but didn't want to take a shortcut by just applying paint. What do you think? I'm open to criticism, and appreciate you for putting in the hard work to remove paint
I love your work, but video editting not so much. Less is always more, you need to remember that. And you should show some order of doing things. Only if you are cgaotic and you prefer it that way, as a gorm of build up style - then I respect you and your chaotic style.
Wow! What a beautiful piece! Who knew it was underneath all that paint. You're very talented. I love watching your videos! Great job!
You might need to keep this one with that hideaway drawer! Looks gorgeous now that we can see the gorgeous woodgrain! You do excellent work!
Your work is astounding. Thank you,
I would use that secret drawer for jewelry or coins. Beautiful transformation, gorgeous finished product, very well done, sir!
Really great Drexel episode. I managed Gertrude Zachary Antiques here in Albuquerque for years. We sold European furniture, but being on Route 66, a lot of sixties and seventies furniture came in to the store. Drexel was always exciting to me because of the brass detailing. This was an exceptional unit, loved the hidden drawer (always a great discovery.) I have become a huge fan of your site, your attention to the wood restoration revives fond memories of working with my wood shop on furniture. Thanks for all the care to saving and rediscovering these quality pieces.
Love this message! Thank you
that was a beautiful shade of blue. It's a great restoration, though I liked the blue. I also have a huge preference for dark woods all the furniture I grew up with were dark woods the lightest ones were a rich cherry wood
First time someone has mentioned they liked the blue paint
Angie was the first person I followed on you tube and she led me to you and mayfield restorations and flipping drawers.
You, your talent, and your videos make my heart happy. You're very good at what you do. Thanks for sharing!
