I Iove your creative ideas and willing to record the unknown. Embrilliance instruction was excellent on how to adapt your stitches to what you want. I have seen other embroiders use an adhesive to hold the yarn down at the start, and proceed as you did. Keep up coming with new ideas ! Awesome
I have been looking for fonts and videos to do yarn embroidery. Your video is really good and helpful. There is a font (Etsy I believe) that has built in stops to place the yarn. Now that I've seen your video, I may go back and purchase that font. Thank you for showing the first round - it's so frustrating to see videos that have been perfected, and doesn't help me understand what can & will go wrong. I am now subscribed to you!
Thanks for letting me know that they have fonts for the yarn now. Yes, I leave my mistakes in. I believe they are helpful and also helps folks understand that mistakes happen to EVERYONE! Even folks that have years of experience!
I fast forward to the end and you made the right call to stop. A lighter weight thread maybe 4oz to 6oz would work. To give you more definition and I got to see how Peggy thread eraser worked ! All in all your video was more successful than those embroiders who edit out their mistakes. Thumbs up !
Thanks! I like to keep mistakes in. It's helps people learn and no one is perfect. Hopes to build confidence and you never know if someone can provide good feedback. I love your idea about using a light weight thread. I'm going to give it a try and see. Thanks again!
Very interesting and informative video. I really appreciate it when you show everything, Jeanette, even if the project did not come out perfectly. Honestly, I think that if you used a thinner yarn, it would have come out perfectly. That's one beneficial way to learn...from errors or mistakes. I hope you try this again. I would love to see the outcome. 👍 Did the stitch simulator come with the Embrilliance software?
Hi Wiselady. I totally forgot about this video. I have thinner yarn. I'm going to try it. Yes. Embrilliance Essentials comes with the stitch simulator. I love that feature. Glad that you are enjoying the videos. I like making them "raw". Mistakes and all. We all make them and it's a great opportunity to learn!
Yes indeed! I am enjoying your videos! Keep making them "raw." I'm learning a great deal from them. I definitely will be looking out for your future "thinner yarn" video. Excellent. Yes! Embrilliance has a stitch simulator. Thank you so much.❤
You can do this on both machines. Yes. It's called couching. I also noticed that there is a special sewing foot for single needles. Looking to see if I can find one for the Brother machine.
Thank you for the video. Even though the initial project was not successful , I learned a lot from the steps you showed in the set up. Also, I may have to order one of those stitch remover gadgets after seeing it in action.
Hey Jeanette I saw a video from embroidery nurse about this. She bought a design made for yarn. The file had a lot of color changes to give you time to put your yarn down. She used spray adhesive but I think a glue stick will work better. Her name is Kelly and her RUclips channel is called Embroidery Nurse
Hi Eartha. I didn't know they have files made for it. I will definitely have to check out those embroidery designs for sure! Thanks for letting me know.
I think it’s so great you trying this, thank you so much for sharing and your sweatshirt is so nice looking even if it doesn’t have the yarn on it! I’m glad your finger wasn’t under there I was sweating watching you do this lol….Thank you so much I learned a lot and I’m sure so many others did as well from this video so it was a HUGE success ❤❤🎉
Hi! You're adorable! I have had the Brother PR1055X sitting here for over a year and I am overwhelmed- just afraid I won't be able to learn how to use it. The store promised training but never was available. Are there any recommendations for someone with this machine on where to start? I have never embroidered and I'm so intimidated. Any advice would be so appreciated. You have inspired me to learn this! Thank you.
Don't be scared of the machine. I would start learning parts of the machine and then try doing a couple of sample stitches. This way you can become familiar with it's settings. Also know going in that you will get stuck at times. This is part of the learning process. Don't get up and use that manual. It really is well written. Most importantly. Enjoy your machine! I will be posting video regarding this machine.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts I will be following you- so happy I found your channel! I think you should come here and help me🤣. Boricua 🇵🇷 I'll make the arroz and habichuelas, you bring the skills😜. Thanks for the response- excited to learn this (still scared... but excited) ❤️
I will have to get me some chopsticks. I actually did break off a needle in my finger and had to go to the ER to get it out. Those machines and their power is no joke. Lesson learned.
I forgot to mention your hooping station and how easy you made it look another great tool for me to look into. You should get paid for promoting these accessories in such a way beginning embroiders relate, trial and error!
Hi Leishia. The information for the hoop station is in the video description. Recommend calling them to make sure you get the one comparable to your machine.
I did a blanket with it and it didn’t last long. It was the yarn that was on sale at Michaels. It was about $5 I figure it would be good for the video but it was too thick. I agree with you. The quality of this yarn isn’t great.
Love this video, I learned quit a bit, thank you!
chop sticks and thread shaver 😮 purchasing now!
Wonderful! Glad you enjoyed the video!

WHAT. That stitch shaving is amazing. I need that
Evelyn I put the link for it in the video description.

Love the way you teach us to use the machinery because you explain so well, great job in this project.
I completely agree. It helps that I have the same machine.
Thank you very much!
I‘ve never seen it done on an embroidery machine but a single needle machine is easier that’s called couching.😊
You can do this on both machines. Yes. It's called couching. I also noticed that there is a special sewing foot for single needles. Looking to see if I can find one for the Brother machine.

Thank you for sharing. I need to get that shaving gadget. I noticed you did link it.
Hi Bridget. You have no idea how many times that saved me! It's a really handy tool to have.

Thanks for the lesson as always! Is that like couching?
Yes, it is!
Maybe you could place the yarn in the center of the initial
I tried it looked funky. I needed to use thinner yarn for this design.
I will have to get me some chopsticks. I actually did break off a needle in my finger and had to go to the ER to get it out. Those machines and their power is no joke. Lesson learned.
Yes. Just grab a pair. Or use a pencil. Keep those fingers safe! Hope you get better soon!
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts this happened last November,I’m good now 😊
I wrote with yarn. It is fun but I used my reg sewing machine. My yard was much thinner.
I figured my yarn was way too think. It was a nice try thou. Lessons learned.
I forgot to mention your hooping station and how easy you made it look another great tool for me to look into. You should get paid for promoting these accessories in such a way beginning embroiders relate, trial and error!
I love the hooping stations. They really do help to make the job easier! I have the information for the stations in the video description.
Where did you get your shirt stand ( don't know the name of it)
Hi Leishia. The information for the hoop station is in the video description. Recommend calling them to make sure you get the one comparable to your machine.
I think I’d spray adhesive lightly on the outline first to hold the yarn in stead of trying to hold it near the needle ugh! It washes out!
That is an awesome idea! I 'm definitely going to try that! The yarn moves a lot and it can be dangerous if you don't use chopsticks.
i crochet with this yarn,,, and it is a big pain,, it frays very easily!!!!!! I would never do embroidery projects with this yarn LOL

I also thought that was a single needle project. It would be very much easier.
It's both really both the same. You are only using one needle on the multi needle machine.
Most of the fails of this technique is way too bulky yarn for the font. Thanks for sharing
Yes. I should have used a thinner yarn. I'm going to try this again.
It’d pretty nice work 🙋♀🌹 ****Marian****
Thank you! 😃
I clicked on the font and it is not the same one in the video
Hi Black doll. Thanks for letting me know. It's the wrong size. I will update it.
Too nurve racking for me!
It surely is different.
Hot mess.....lol maybe a thinner yarn
Yes. I went overboard using this thick yarn. I bet a thin yarn would have been better.
That yarn is to thick.
Yes. Totally agree. I needed thinner yarn for this.
