100% true. Wish the founding fathers had realized this. But we were the first constitution of our kind... It is nice to see that some states are starting to adopt it at the local level.
@Gary Watson Having more then two parties isn't really a good idea. Replacing the two parties is a better idea. The whole reason we have two parties to to make it so a majority is clear. if we have 3 or 4 parties to choose from that means only 34 or 26% of the population dictates who wins. That's far from a majority.
There are other parties/candidates, in every election. The reason why we don't know about it, or what they ate about when we do, is a direct result of the mainstream news media providers. They are in control of what we see and hear. They basically decided, for us. That is the first thing that needs to change. The question then is: how do we affect the MSM news outlets, in a way that doesn't allow them to keep things from us, or to tell us things that are inaccurate (to say the least)? Peace

@@parihar-shashwat What I find interesting is that I once studied how the idea of "truth" can be subjective. It depends on the frame it takes and what perspectives the viewers see it as. This is also a really pessimistic take. Yes, we should be weary and take news with a grain of salt, but for the most part I believe adults who actually want the truth can shift through all of the clutter and find what they are looking for with enough sources, facts, and intellectual curiosity. I just found the concept to be really interesting, and thought it would be a good thing to share.
Now the concept of beauty is almost universal though give or take a few cultural differences, but that is a different topic.
@@coolmon180 News is all about the facts but I don't like the way they hide certain facts about a story and portray their agenda with the intension of showing all the negative views of a story if they don't fit in their agenda or showing only positive views about a story if that fit in that bracket.
I know no person in the world is non-biased. But if the intension is to show facts and keep the opinions seperate from news then maybe people will find their trust back in the media.
Now you can look for various sources to dig for an information from both contrasting sources but no one would like to put such effort. If you do that then you are doing the journalism for yourself which should be the job of these news media outlets in the first place.
It's easy to find a bubble of information which could be true but lacks complete truth to understand the story fully. This is the cause of unrest between different sections of the society.

I am not an American and do not live in the US but I have just found this channel and am really impressed!
The two party duopoly of only Democrat and Republican choices does not serve the American people. We need more choices than just two, and we can get them if all states were to use ranked-choice voting (aka “instant runoff”) and primaries were to be opened to all registered voters.
Peace
@Gary Watson I like how you avoid the problem of percentage and just blame it on current parties. I already said replace the current parties. I don't give a woot about dems or repubs. If you say it doesn't solve the issue but fail to explain how to, then you're... uhh narrow minded and making someone else do your work for you. Like a coward. It makes me think you put no thought into it.
@@CyRanger blaming the news media is a massive cop-out and intellectually lazy. Both the Democrat and Republican parties actively work to prevent third parties from having any voice, and the current method of voting in most places (“first past the post”) virtually guarantees that 3rd party candidates never win on the national level. Take for example Ross Perot. He got tons of media coverage (so much for your “biased media” theory) and under a ranked-choice system he might well have won, but Republicans used every trick at their disposal to minimize his impact on the election and under first-past-the-post he never had a chance.
A great piece. The only thing the author did not sufficiently emphasize was the absolute terror that reigned in the hearts of Democrats. Four more years of Trump, and we could have lost it all.
@@syruscoy1244 And you think Republicans aren't scum? They are the scum and slime in the swamp
Unfortunately we are on the verge of losing it all now thx to slow Joe and the evil DEMONRATS.
@@brandonplaisted8194 , sorry dude, but on 1/6 the whole world saw who were the ones trying to tear down democracy, and it wasn't the Democrats.
@@erichodge567 right..... keep telling yourself that. Because if you see the way the United states is going were slowly turning into a socialist country not a free republic anymore.
@@brandonplaisted8194 , I don't have to tell myself anything. On 1/6 I saw it all for myself. People storming the Capitol to prevent Congress from certifying an election, as specified by the CONSTITUTION. An election that no judge, not even a Trump-appointed judge has ruled faulty, and no recount, even those done by Republicans, has ever overturned. At this point, those who claim that the election was stolen are simply liars, or deluded. No one need take them seriously anymore.
Trump didn't have a shovel. He had an excavator.
Amazing presentation. Loved it.
I'm not a democrat but I believe you have to start with basic human decency when picking a president. And I don't think Trump is a decent human being.
So your saying Joe Biden who has supported xi jinping leader in of China/ccp a good person
@@thefatbob3710 so you're saying trump not believing in science makes him a good person

@@jonathansauceda589 What science is there to believe in? The "experts" flip-flop on their own statements every day.
@@thefatbob3710 We could keep score of who did what more wrong but at the end of the day it’s basic things like not being racist, not being sexist, acknowledging human rights, being humble, being kind, admitting when you’re wrong is what really matters. Sadly trump has proven time and time again in the past 4 years he does not even have those basic qualities
