My first mx race I entered was in 1982. I pulled up to the starting gate on my new, left over purchase, 1981 RM125X. I looked down the starting gate and saw several of these "ancient" air cooled CR125s. When the gate dropped, I was like 2nd from last around the first turn. My mx inexperience contributed to that. And during the race, never did I see any of those CR125s.
Sweet Bike Ken ! you never sease to amaze with your beautiful vintage inventory . And you explain the bilkes history , repairs and modifications so well. The 70s and 80s were the heyday for all bikes and were the cream of the crop, God it brings back some great memories, the newer stuff might perform better, but these are more fun and look WAY cooler ! Thanks for keeping the dreams alive Ken ! I gotta get out to visit the museum . I wanna see all those cool bikes in person, and purchase one to take home with me . When i buy another vintage dirtbike, im going to you guys ! you do the nicest restorations. Keep rockin gentlemen ! Thanks man. Mike Johnson. from Minnesota👍
Ken I would love to buy that bike I was 16 in 1980 and always was my dream to own a cr125 mom and dad bought me a Mr175 and I was forever grateful to them but really wanted one of these

Marty Smith’s steed.
Wonder why the jug wasn't painted? A shiny DG pipe wouldn't have hurt neither.

find Doug Domokos wheelie king..
I believe Doug died in a hang gliding accident. He was a regular at all the professional MX races.
Better open a window
No snowflakes here
