It helps to clean aluminum real good with denatured alcohol and preheat the area real good before welding. Also don't sharpen the tungsten with welding aluminum, leave flat and let a ball form on the end of your tungsten. Love the video, hope this helps
With an inverter welder you really don't want or need a ball. By the sound of the machine is doesn't sound like he has it set right. There's alot of settings on that baby. Would love to be able to help him learn aluminum

Man I watch and even follow a large number of channels. But this channel has grown to become one of my favorite. Your father-level comedy, your self depreciating approach to mistakes, and your fabrication and sometimes engineering just makes the channel entertaining and educational. If you ever want to increase your output, two videos a week would just be perfect. Until then, keep cranking them out.
I don't comment on videos often, but I thought I would this time. Dig your channel, great content, and I love the fact your getting a bigger shop.(well deserved)

I had an Datsun 610 you would have liked. Ignition melted so my dad wired in a switch and a push button start, none of the doors locked, had house stereo speakers, if it got cold you could only open the hatchback, and would fill with exhaust if you didn’t stay at a constant speed 😎

Couple weeks until you show us the new cars and shop? Hell yeah!
Currently helping my dad get his old 69 amx up and running again. Just fixed the fuel inlet in the carb. Now to get a rebuild kit and do a refresh. And fix other issues with the fuel system and do some wire repairs so that it’ll run and shut off with the key and we can move it from the barn for the first time since sometime before I was born. It’s cool he had that car since 1982.

A ball on the end of your tungsten for aluminum. We always changed the polarity and struck an arc to make the ball. Great show !
apparently i'm two weeks behind watching these videos. but i got off my butt today and swapped the carburetor on my 1968 F500 utility truck today. She runs. We drove her to the gas station and put a little gas in and then to the tire shop to air up the tires and then the car wash to clean her up a bit. it's a survivor and not restored. it has some patiner.
