  • Today Zach and I try out what most people consider the "true original energy drink" otherwise known as Thai Red Bull. This varation has a similar flavour to the Red Bull most of us are familiar with, but is non-carbonated and has a sweeter, smoother taste. Watch the review for more details.

    I find it ironic how view this product as such a rare product. A moved from the US to Thailand 6 years ago. These are literally everywhere in Thailand, and you can buy at least 3 of them for a dollar. Personally, I find these much better than the ones sold in other countries. Whenever I pull an all nighter, two bottles is enough for me to last the day.

    • @CooCooAwesome
      @CooCooAwesome  9 лет назад +7

      Location is one of the factors that decides how rare something is, that's just the way it is. But I will definitely agree this is waaay better than the piss water we normally have

      There's no Taco Bell, a chain restauranf I know from Grand Theft Auto, the video game, in Thailand either. If nobody else does it before me, I'm gonna buy the franchise one day. Seems to me, elders are not that fond of them, but then again, they only like Chinese and Thai foods. Younger people love Japanese, Indian, Italian, American and I bet they'll love Mexican too.

    that is the original, indeed-although the active stimulant has been moderated since it was launched in the late 60s for health\ safety reasons. This product was actually loosely based off a Japanese vitamin drink called Lipovitan which is also still widely available. Thai redbull has only been sporadically available in Western markets as you have seen because the Austrian Redbull company bought rights from Thai redbull for control of western markets while the Thais retained control of the Asian market.

    The reason that was the last batch was due to copyright laws. The red bull logo used on those bottles were printed by a different company, while the logo here belongs to Red Bull. Imports had to cease to prevent copyright infringement.
    IMO if you want something similar maybe try Carabao or M-150

    The missing taste is because it's in a GLASS bottle instead of the ALUMINUM can served worldwide
    Look for the little "gold cans of KratingDaeng" for the REAL ORIGINAL taste, the bottle is like "coke2", the "gold can" is a steel can instead of the standard aluminum
    Ps over in Thailand "red bull" is like 3 bottles for a single $1 us

    3:13 it actually has way less caffeine because this only has 30gr of caffeine while a red bull can has 80gr of caffeine. This souns like a better version because i would prefer less caffeine since caffeine isn't why i drink red bull, and regular red bull is too watered down that many cans barely have any taste or scent to them.

    And then again, Thailand is a poor ass country. An average anesthesiologist gets $275,743 per year in the U.S. Here, for an average one, it's about 4 or 5 times less i think. For a drastically hard-working highly experienced one with good marketing, it's almost 2 times less. I really want to move to places where it's much colder and not Japan or Antarctica, damn. You can look at the houses in Thai insurance company's commercials in those "Try not to cry" challenges RUclipsrs do these days or in SocialCam (Vine without the genius concept), then you look at houses in Vine and Hollywood movies and any other country that doesn't lack basic human rights

    Red Bull sold in Thailand costs only 10 baht. 1 US dollar can buy 3 bottles. But in Thailand, there is a warning on the label not to drink more than two bottles a day because the caffeine content is much higher than the formulas sold in America or Europe.
