watching this I come to the conclusion that Volca drum is the understatement of the century , the variety of sound is astonishing , thanks for the video
There are honestly so many possibilities with this little drum machine. I especially love that it is also capable of producing pitched/melodic sounds in addition to percussion sounds. This makes the Volca Drum a ton of fun to perform with as a standalone groove machine. 👍 Anyways, hope you guys enjoy the video. Please let me know what you think. Would you guys care to see more synth demos in this style? Feedback is appreciate. 🙂
I really like your kits and jams here. I've had a lot of fun with my Volca Drum. Anyone who likes unique forms of synthesis should look at this instrument. It takes an entirely unique approach to sound shaping, which means unique sounds. The results often sound "physical," like striking a hollow object or plucking a string. Also great for BIG kick sounds! I would absolutely like to see more of this instrument in your hands!
Thank you! 😁 Yes, I agree! This is one unique little Volca. I absolutely love how complex it is... but at the same time, very easy to program. So much fun to be had all on its own... pair it with some other gear... and the fun never ends. 👍 Thanks, for watching. 🙌
I have this because I like having my drums sound completely unique, the way u use it in this video shows the insane potential it has, I almost still cant believe my ears when I hear certain people using it to make things better than even me, it's so good it's better than even model cycles for certain things Volca drum is very good at
The Drum was my first ever synth (then bought the Keys based on your "3 reasons why I love the" video 🙂) Even after 4 months of daily use, it makes noises that surprise me, I love it 😁
Late to the party, I've just ordered one of these to go with my Volca Sample 2, Roland T8 and tiny Korg Nu Tekt synth. Polyrhythmic bassy insanity, here I come.
I could'nt help myself, I bought one and I have to say it is so much FUN and even though the sounds on their own are not that good, the way they combine is special. I've owned many drum machines over the years but the Korg Volca Drum is my favorite drum machine so far. It is one of those rare bits of kit that sound good no matter what you do with the knobs. (I've owned all these machines; Boss Dr55, Boss Dr110, Boss Dr550, Roland R5, Roland R8, Roland CR1000, Roland Tr505, Roland Tr808, Casio Rz1, Yamaha SU10, Korg Electribe, Korg Electribe Sampler, Korg Electribe Sampler 2, Beatmaker 3).
ha ok, i m sorry, i m french and terrible means incredible or extra ordinary,, i m sorry i dont speak english well,,, i love what he s done ,,, i have the volca drum and lilbigsynth make it sound beautifull!!!!
I really love this! The jams where you tune the individual sounds and don’t use traditional drum kit sounds really inspire me. I’m trying to use the Volca Drum in a different way for non-techno/house.
This sounds great! As versatile as the sample is, I like the varieties of sound you can get with this; and no sample hunting. And good work programming and playing!
You put my skills with the Drum to shame. I do love it though. It’s percussions swing together really well but I also sometimes think of it as a programmable bank of 6 one-shot “samples” (patches in this case). Glad to see what it can do with a little more attention.
Great demo! Any thoughts on Volca Drum vs LXR-02 (aside from price)? Both very capable digital drum synths, but which has more sound design possibilities? Vdrum has resonator, LXR-02 kit morphing... appreciate your insights!
Interesting. What is it that you dont like about it? 🤔 As far as the vDrum goes, I wouldnt say that it is a "step down" at all. They are 2 completely different machines, with their own unique sounds and workflow. I absolutely love my Volca Drum... in fact, it's one of my favorite Volcas. 😁 In my opinion, it is extremely versatile and powerful considering the price and size. It's totally worth checking out.👍
The vBeats is a bit more of a straightforward drum machine ... whereas the Volca Drum is much more versatile and feature rich. I honestly like the vBeats and wouldnt mind owning one again. Aside from its weak snare drum, it's a nice, pure analog drum machine. If you can find a used/second hand vBeats for a good price... it might be worth picking up. You should also consider the Korg Volca Sample. It's a sample based unit, but is totally capable of beaing a good drum machine. I have used the Volca Sample as my main "drum machine" for quite awhile. Good luck on your gear hunt! 🙂👍 Thanks for watching.
Oh, man... if I had to absolutely choose one... I would definitely go with the Volca Drum! I personally love the powerful sound design capabilities, but if your looking for more of a straight forward "drum machone", then Volca sample might be the better choice. 2 completely different animals for sure with very different workflows and each with their own set of pros and cons of course. 🤔 Kind of a tough one. Lol

Wow man that incredible what you are tickling out of the vDrum! I just got mine, so still a long way to go. Do you have any tutorials on how you are creating these melodies?
Yeah, the vDrums ability to layer its sounds in any way you want is really cool. It's certainly more than a typical drum machine. 👍 Have fun with it... Thanks for watching. 🙂
Is it just me, or does RUclips really screw up the audio? I watch these Volca videos and there is always some aspect of the sound that is like nails on a chalkboard. My own Volcas don't sound like that in real life. It's always in the upper mids on up through the high frequency range. Maybe some post EQ to those frequencies before downloading would make a difference? I don't know, it's just something I've noticed over time.
I am pretty sure RUclips does affect the sound a bit, but not exactly sure how/why. Are you listening through speakers? Headphones? I typically do post production stuff with the sound, but for this video, I wanted a dry, direct audio signal. The Volca Drum does cover a lot of frequencies and harmonics that can easily get out of hand, so I tried my best to keep it as tame as possible. Would you happen to have a specific point in the video that was most unpleasant? I really appreciate the feedback. 🙂👍Thanks.
hello, i m french, what is a troll? in french it s a mythologik race of little humans who lives in the forest,,, and, yes it s one of the best demo, cause volca drum is incredible
watching this I come to the conclusion that Volca drum is the understatement of the century , the variety of sound is astonishing , thanks for the video
Thank you! Took forever to find a vid that actually show what this thing can do.
There are honestly so many possibilities with this little drum machine. I especially love that it is also capable of producing pitched/melodic sounds in addition to percussion sounds. This makes the Volca Drum a ton of fun to perform with as a standalone groove machine. 👍

Where do you get these tonal sounds from my man?! Love the machine, but never got so many non-percusive sounds out of it.

What a fantastic demo, 1:54 was my favourite. I just picked one of these up a few days ago and having so much fun with it. Keep the videos coming 👍
That portamento lead caught my attention too
The Drum was my first ever synth (then bought the Keys based on your "3 reasons why I love the" video 🙂)
Even after 4 months of daily use, it makes noises that surprise me, I love it 😁
I ordered mine today - hours before I watched this video. I‘m even more happy about my decision now 😄👍!
This is probably the best use of a volca drum as a stand alone I’ve heard. Nice job! I’ve got lots to learn.
That screaming build up at 7:00 was filthy
It’s strange how such a digital device can sound so organic.
yeah i feel like modern digital machines have so much more character than analog devices these days.
You rock the shit out of this this thing. Good stuff man.
Thank you very much! 😊
Late to the party, I've just ordered one of these to go with my Volca Sample 2, Roland T8 and tiny Korg Nu Tekt synth. Polyrhythmic bassy insanity, here I come.
Just got mine too. Thing is impressive
What a really nice, different sounding drum machine!
Love the sound and what you are doing with it!
Thank you! 😁 Yeah. The vDrum is definitely pretty unique. It's super powerful, but also... super fun. 😉👍

What a fun and funky little drum synth, well done you and well done Korg!
Thank you! 😊 Yeah, Korg did an amazing job with this one for sure! 👍
ha ok, i m sorry, i m french and terrible means incredible or extra ordinary,, i m sorry i dont speak english well,,, i love what he s done ,,, i have the volca drum and lilbigsynth make it sound beautifull!!!!
Way more than a drum machine awesome!
Really liked the sounds at 2:41
3:31 That’s amazing. All it needs now is the rapper and a little reverb/delay for ambience.
Yeah it's a pretty sick beat
It’s amazing what a tiny thing can do! Hears a bit likethe 606 and CR-78 drum machines.
Sounds great actually. Thanks for the video and the time and effort to make it.👍👍
Sweet demo. This video convinced me to get this little bad boy after searching for a affordable drum machine
Korg should hire you...you just sold me a Volca Drum :-D
7:20 is crazy
Agree!!!
You certainly have a talent with this thing! Great stuff!
Very cool! May I ask how can we do the kick variations of the session starting at 6:30?
That bass is great, almost seems like it’s from some other synth
1:55 Very nice! Now I know how I will spend my summer.
Thank you for no talking , great
I really love this! The jams where you tune the individual sounds and don’t use traditional drum kit sounds really inspire me. I’m trying to use the Volca Drum in a different way for non-techno/house.
Brilliant demo, nice way to show what it can do
Holy shit, you are awesome
This sounds great! As versatile as the sample is, I like the varieties of sound you can get with this; and no sample hunting. And good work programming and playing!
Thanks for displaying its capabilities. I think this is the best choice for a drum synth instead of the volca beats.
Buenísimo, gracias
Exxelent presentation of this little drum box... many thanks

Very good...only with one volca ! Perfect !
really nice demo, thanks mate
Wow I did not realise how much this thing could do...
Nice demo man thx! Just got the FM..
laying out bombasos
Sounds great! How are you able to produce melodic sounds that are “stable” (aka not wobbly due to the smooth motion sequencing of the pitch knob)
amazing
Are those synth sounds and basses also comming from this device?
Yes! All sounds are from the Volca Drum 😊👍
👍👍🏻👍🏼👍🏽👍🏾👍🏿
So powerful!!
Hey man, nice beats! Do you have a Spotify?
LIKE .. I ALMOST BUY IT
Great demo! Any thoughts on Volca Drum vs LXR-02 (aside from price)? Both very capable digital drum synths, but which has more sound design possibilities?
Vdrum has resonator, LXR-02 kit morphing... appreciate your insights!
Awesome stuff!
Thank you! 🙂
Cool man.
Killer!
Keep jamming with Volcas ❤💛💚
It’s not my favorite instrument of all but if I had to choose only one, that would be it.
i have arturia drumbrute impact but i dont like it..is korg drum a step down...
Interesting. What is it that you dont like about it? 🤔

Hey mate,
I'm getting a really crazy noise floor when I use this powered by a powerbank into my Zoom H6 to my Camera. Any Adivce?
Batteries, cleanest power source for recording volcas
Or a power conditioner but those are pricey
I’m looking for a budget drum machine. Would folks recommend this or the Volca Beats?
The vBeats is a bit more of a straightforward drum machine ... whereas the Volca Drum is much more versatile and feature rich.

@@littleBIGsynths You are awesome! Thank you!
/Could I use this to make hip-hop beats?
If you were going to have either this or volca sample as an only drum machine ........?
Oh, man... if I had to absolutely choose one... I would definitely go with the Volca Drum! I personally love the powerful sound design capabilities, but if your looking for more of a straight forward "drum machone", then Volca sample might be the better choice.

いいね👍
I have to learn how to stack multiple sequences on this thing. I know it can do so much more than I use it for when I hear Shit like this

Why can’t KORG make a decent sounding snare on anything!!!
turn on the subs ; )
I just wanted something that could play drums. Good demo though.
you make it sounds terrible !!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello, in French terrible means awesome. I think it s just a grammzr mistake. Best,
