Korg needs to update the 3 original Volcas to include "Global System Parameter" #8 which is for the "Sync input/output unit". This would allow the entire collection of Volcas to sync to “Once a step” (or 4 PPQN). The added bonus is that when the Volca Drum, Volca Kick, or Volca Sample is used as the master clock, the swing settings will extend to all Volcas in the chain.
For the first 3 seconds and throughout this entire video, i hear 'background hum'. Coming from the Volca Drum, or another part of your signal chain? *edit: I replayed the Volca Modular demo and heard noise for the first 3 seconds also, but the noise wasn't as high pitched as the Drum. I watched the Volca Kick demo from your playlist and the Kick had noise too? Are these Volca's just full of background noise? I normally don't hear that from other demo videos. I'm just curious because I'm interested in getting the Volca Drum, Modular, and Kick but not if these synths produce so much background noise. I like your videos BTW.
I have a Beats, and if I use it for jamming through a mixer it sounds good enough (except for the snare of course), no annoying hiss...but when I try to record it and level the gain of each part, the hiss makes it useless...My solution is to cut each hit to the smallest sample I can get, avoiding the recorded hiss in between.
Definitely. I'm seriously considering selling my Volca Sample to get one. The Sample just never really grabbed me for some reason, which is frustrating. Maybe it's the work flow.
@@werekill Going to use sample for more drones and this for drums of course. Not using stock samples much anymore on sample. Single cycle waveforms and some nice DnB drum samples:)

Awesome!!! Can't wait for my pre-order to arrive. Sounds like it would fit nicely with my noise/industrial jams:)
Sounds better than I expected.
Very tempting!
👍🤖✋
Bonedo: always my go to for gear demos and part of the reason I have too much gear ;)
Instant buy
Shame they couldn't cram in some extra outputs to separate the drums.
Too bad it can't make me a sammich.
Great demo, thank you !

There's no hum on my Volca
@@AJC19811 then you're the only one!
Mayb I just don’t notice it is the hum if it plugged into say a mixer?
The Volca Modular can have a really bad noise floor. It amps it up too according to how you have it wired.

Wow this thing sounds great. And for $150?? No brainer.

@@werekill The sample gets a lot more effective if you download the (non-korg) editor for it.
RIP my ears
i love the sound of this drum machine ! but you can't use for musical production because we hear a backround noise ! so i sold it for a Model Cycles !
still searching for a demo with a nice bassdrum. can the drum only do those pack pack ones?
basicnoise @ 4:00 my Dude.
basicnoise wtf is pack pack? lmao
theeverlastingspiral So?
Can’t wait to get mine. Sounds very nine inch nails esque
Kick ,snare and hihat sound so similar with korg monotribe
press random pls
That's why i'm not gonna go to that expensive eurorack bandwagon
Mitch Tan What because Korg releases a drum machine?
@@HotStrange Yep...i've got my Ableton 10 Push,4 volcas,Boutiques,Blofelds,Behringer D and Neutron,Akais...etc
@@oskie66skye it's funny you say this cause model D and botique and behringer are usually all made to fit euro rack
@@shinobislayer7039 Yeah, but i'm not gonna get myself in to heavy stuff like erica synths..etc
@@oskie66skye I hear that not I don't blame you. I did just preorder the volva drum though 😎 super excited
Can I trade my practically useless Volca Kick for a Volca Drum?
Not sure I'd ever use this beyond the first few hours of experimenting.
Crap noise floor.
Doesn´t sound better than pocket op-12. Not interest
