The new world order must be brought Down. Our political system is broken and rotten and must be destroyed and replaced with true public servants not mercenaries or corrupt greedy selfish interests
it is usual for an interviewer to go on for paragraphs before letting Chomsky out of the starter's block. I don't know why they do this. It's no fun to listen to, unlike Chomsky himself. They are just not poets at heart.
I disagree with professor Chomsky’s socialist philosophy but he is spot on many other topics. He’s perhaps one of the most brilliant minds of the last century.
What does "socialist" mean, at this point? It's meaningless, it's been misused, misconstrued misasigned to the point of non-recognition, it's disfigured.
I have but you're partly right, many have poor audio. Ditto Democracy Now on television, it has terrible audio. This is a real problem for the left. They don't realize how important production quality is, a mistake the right rarely makes. I wish they weren't so stupid in that regard; they lose support and don't get it.

prof chomsky made significant suggestions in the investigation of human languages, and from that narrow base, became mildly shocking and widely known in his persistent support for anarcho-syndicalism. but he has had no visible effect on usa politics. usa is in desperate need of a revolutionary with some program both appealing and viable. they have had to make-do with a cartoon figure. no reflection on this good man, usa was strongly fixed on evil, from birth, and mao, che, fidel and lenin in concert would likely fail to dislodge the grip of wealth from the usa. mao was frank, ideology is important, but success derives from violent revolution, 'the barrel of a gun..' revolution is not in sight, the path forward for usans is most likely secession of relatively progressive states, the west coast and north east would both be viable nations. the remainder, 'bubbaland', would be de-fanged. unlikely to happen. usa most likely will be a global nightmare of power in the hands of evil. already is, in my view.
This man should have been a politician. Instead of analyzing and critising all your life you could maybe have done something about it. No doubt still living in your ivory tower
Feeding the US military sources industrial complex. Is it co-incidence that as US arms were left in Afghanistan with their military removal, many more are immediately being produced to feed Ukraine in defence against Russia, except the the most required advanced aircraft and supersonic missiles as they are booked up by the West who can better pay for them.
chomsky again bashing the current system without ever proposing an alternative and never doing anything to take responsibility for change,. like most public intellectuals he's just a bystander, easy to criticise when you dont take responsibility for anything
@Denis Bajic other than serve in the army for 25 years, I've done nothing. Then again, unlike Chomsky, I don't constantly appear in front of audiences, in books and on youtube telling people I've done nothing.

All of the TARP money (in the end, less than half of what was allocated) was paid back to us with interest. Zero fraud was uncovered. Main street undeniably recovered. Facts, man. Don't ever change, Noam. 🙄
He sure does believe in quarantining people for practising their right to not vax themselves! Shameful! What about capatilism, climate change, illegal voting, the constant BS from the government about this phoney pandemic and the huge deliberate consequences of it??? He bores the heck out of me and needs to get with the times.
That is the one problem I have with him and the left. You would think the massive profits made by Big Pharma would raise some eyebrows but they behave like volunteer footsoldiers for the vax companies. I agree with the rest of what he says
@@spanks6947 Your right to drive is part of your freedom of choice. Don't bother trying to box this into separate points. The example can simply be changed. Love NC, but it seems pointless to ask him a specific question, as he is now so habituated in his responses to simply recite chapters from his writings. At his age it would seem rude to redirect him.
Baseless abuse is for the weak-minded. Make your comment relevant with an actual argument please. And please don't bother with the " Leftist agenda" rhetoric please. It's pointless, debunked and well passed boring.
With all due respect allow me to speak my mind. Blaming the rich and corporations, is not the right direction. They do what they know that works. I do not blame them for that neither it makes me angry. The rich get richer from the times of genesis. Nothing is new under the sun. The way I see it, is that they can do that just because consumers support their growth. We consume and buy thing we do not need or never use, by that increasing pollution and larger landfills, and of course growing wealthier corporations. People stop long time ago to expect governments to better their life, no matter which party it is. Actually only corporations grow an economy and the economic status of individuals. Nevertheless, the fact that people are in a state of "full belly" you will not see much changing in the near future. As long as there is not a mass of people struggling to put food on the table, you will not see the revolution. People are quite complaisant. They have their job, food and shelter, a bit in the bank, they can enjoy a little bit of entertainment, maybe they are just happy like that? Maybe the average person do not care about the rich, after all how many meals you can eat a day, or how many bathrooms you need to take a shower?! And what politician do? The same thing. They only grow their wealth while they are in office. I do not want to fight the rich, it is a lost war. Instead I would like to see them supporting programs that will improve the life of a few. For example, I would like to see one of them opening free trade schools that will give an opportunity to all the kids that drop out of high school to enroll and get a profession in a short time program, including in the IT field. That in my view will be more beneficial that fighting them or make them pay more taxes that anyway will go wasted.
Evelyn - I admire that you are calling out complacency of everyday folks you see around you. Although a better forum would likely be people in your immediate circle. If you care about people who suffer, you need to listen to them. Trying to absolve yourself or others of wrongdoing is time poorly spent.
