This game is incredibly difficult. I mastered it after an an insane and incredible amount of frustrating losses, learning exactly how to tap the controller, and before I saved enough money to purchase Dracula X Rondo of Blood, and a Turbo System from someone in Japan. Now I’m so spoiled with Rondo of Blood, that I’d much rather enjoy owning this game in it’s original cartridge form than actually playing it. I probably suck at playing it now. I lost my edge.
This is what happens when you see people go "hey this one fight was kinda too easy" and go way way way too far in the opposite direction just to make it A LITTLE harder.
0:20 perfect spot to grind for one-ups. If you have a turbo controller you can just put a rubber band over the attack button and go do something else. Used to do this back in the day. There is a good spot in Contra III for that too.
Seriously why did they even bother making a butchered version of Rondo of Blood for SNES? Congratulation on the no damage by this boss you really did a great job and had alot of patience.
I've read rumors there was licensing issues with NEC preventing a proper port. It was only a pseudo-port in the West. It's really an entirely different game with same music, sprites and mechanics. Kind of like Super Mario Bros. 2/Lost Levels. It was actually titled Dracula XX in japan.
@@marx4538Rondo has more stages, a second playable character, fully animated cutscenes, an actual story, and a whole other side quest where you rescue maidens. You can like Dracula X more, that's totally fine. But compared to Rondo, it's lacking.
I've had better fights with Dracula but then again, that was during newer Castlevania games because as usually, it took alot of patience to kill this character who always teleported, shot projectiles, sent sharp objects after u, talked alot and when he transformed.... U really found out who he was related to lol. Just wished they had better music for him
What an unfathomably boring boss. Even worse, imagine making it to the end just to die by falling into a pit over a simple almost inevitable mistake. Why did they feel the need to change it like this? Horrible design.
I was half-joking because of how ridiculously hard that sounds, but I did actually look to see if you did it. I could find most of the stages, but there wasn’t a stage 5’ run, so maybe it was deleted.

This game is loathed my many, and many call it a Cheap knockoff of Dracula X Rondo of Blood. But not me..... Despite its terrible, horrible, and unpleasant controls, and rushed architecture; the sound effects of whip cracking, and the whip hitting metal armored enemies, left a lasting impression on me. The sound effects were the last thread, that kept me hooked to this game, and kept me from ditching it.
When I first saw Dracula's second form.
".....Um Drac....I think you like that whip a little too much.

Makes this game look simple, which as well all know it's not. So very well done!

The first Castlevania game I completed.
This boss battle proves that Dracula has an unhealthy fetish with BDSM and bottomless pits.
At 6:57 he hits him in the nuts a couple times and then a few seconds later Dracula shoots his two nuts right back at him
😄😀

Better than Rondo
@@marx4538
Not better, harder. A good challenge for Classicvania masters.
@@TheBanishedWind I'd say it's both but sure

At 00:12 you see the tower in the background, that never made any sense to me.
So we wouldn't miss out on Richter's mission to take out Drac 5 years before Symphony Of The Night.

This stage alone is why Rondo of Blood was better >>

Now I’d like to see a stage 5’ no damage no subweapons run.
There should be videos of each stage in this version and Chi no Rondo on this channel unless they were deleted for some reason. Try using search.

Planning on grabbing this game on the 3DS eShop. Good Idea?
Might as well. I had it on Wii U VC
I did, for my Wii U and 3DS before the eShop shutted down forever. I did lots of downloads before that happened.😢
You did something where Angry Video Game Nerd failed;
you beated Dracula X.
I think you should have grabbed a sub weapon. This might have been not so boring to watch.
