Good video, however I have to disagree to the size of the unit with the tripod section on, I have big hands so it feels great with the handle on IMHOP. I also love the lens blur on this camera especially when vlogging as it separates you from the background, but not too much, so you can still see what the background is. I love mine, I also have the pocket 2 and love that too.
Thanks for the video. The Pocket 3 is hugely undermined by absolutely terrible continuous focusing. The constant shifting and hunting makes 90% of casual footage unusable. They need to sort it out.

Hi Darren got mine just before Xmas and I love it, unfortunately the weather here in Cheshire is horrendous with rain every day so haven't had it outside.
instant of buying the seprate bettray charger of the osmo can we buy a fast charge power bank with 30000mh power and char osmo pocket 3 with that can we do that

Like that use of the case being used to hold the camera while it's working and having the mic clipped on the base. Just don't slip it in the pocket like that, don't want another tumble do we? Best Dave

Great review, question is why would anyone remove their SD card when it's easier to simply plug in to phone or computer via USB C cable to transfer footage. I am still on the fence on getting one.
@@DavCro keeping it lower on a bumper to reduce wind and would be always monitoring from a device to track. Speeds of usually under 50mph as the car being filmed can perform acceleration to make it look faster
I don't have this cam, but logically thinking, the vibration from the engine can damage gimbals over long use because gimbal motor will be trying to adjust every millisecond, thus it will eventually wear-out 10000x faster than normal movements when handheld. If you can afford this damage then fine, but otherwise getting an action cam is better.

I've done the same thing with mine, mine was in my back pocket though. I have gouges all over my pocket 3 now. Thankfully it didn't fall on the screen!
Definitely needs to be weather/waterproof. Do that and throw another lens on there for tighter shots (like their drones) and they’d take the market by storm.
Hey, I haven't ever tested that long continuous but you can either attach the battery grip or hook the pocket 3 up to a external power bank and keep recording. Eventually it will overheat as its static but you should get 90mins continuous

I thought I read something about that the camera would shut off after 22 min of 4K filming, and I want to know if that's true, and if it does, what should be a solution if you want to film 90 min 4K straight.
The 1-inch sensor has only 9.4 million pixels, rather than the vanity-like resolution of 20 or 50 million pixels. This is what gives OP3 the world's best image quality when viewing its photos and 4K videos on large 4K TV or monitors.
I have ordered this as a birthday present 🎁 for myself this February 2024 due to its size and overall portability eventhough i know i will only be using it less than i use my iphone 📱

The reason I would prefer a camera like this over a phone is you do not truly disconnect when you have your phone on you you are always seeing your pop-up messages and really no one puts their phone into Aeroplane Mode to block out the world. I believe cameras are better than phones, not because of the quality of the footage or the video or whatever it's because they truly get you to disconnect, we are constantly online receiving messages and so forth and I actually think this is really unhealthy so any camera that gets you off your phone in fact I challenge anyone go out and take photos and leave your phone in the car, stick it in the glovebox. Turn the bloody thing off and truly enjoy the experience of being in nature or with people that you like spending time with phones are ruining the world and I keep saying it any device like this is a bonus and I definitely will look at it for my content creation
What a product! I would buy one, but I think unfortunately think it is to fragile, anyways for me. I love the quality of that small thing can put out, I just wished it was water resistant at least. I will still use my GoPro as behind the scene stuff, its rugged, amazing image stabilization and great video footage! Great review as always!
Its not that type of product. If you want waterproof..... luckily for you dji sell that camera. Action 4. Gimbals would not work under water. Its like complaining a dlsr isnt waterproof. 😂

Im using a GoPro instead because it more durable outdoors, im out in rain and snow, this would brake after a day. and if you haven't tried to film with a GoPro you dont need a gimbal. I would love an Action 4, but for now I dont need to switch. Did you now dslr´s can be waterproof? I have been using mine in heavy rain several time. no problem. Take care!
I reckon it would take a third-party company about an hour to design a cover that goes right around the top you could easily design waterproof Housing that goes right around the whole thing. Easy done. It would take a company like Nissy or somebody like that. About an hour to design that and that will come onto the Internet soon. I'm sure of it. The other option is they should've designed which is an action version as well, which is completely water sealed and I guarantee you that will be the next one.
Great review, but I feel like an 8 out of 10 is a bit too low since this excels at virtually everything based on what I've seen. A score of 9 would sound more reasonable. Then again, I don't own it yet.
One thing I liked about the original, that no reviewers talk about, is that on the original, you could plug in your phone on the side of it, and have a giant video screen. I don't see a way that the Pocket 3 has that function.
@@gannas138 Yeah, mine came today. On the Pocket 3, you can use your phone as a monitor wirelessly. On the original Osmo Pocket, the gimbal plugged in to the bottom of your phone with an adapter. So it does do the same thing, just wirelessly. You would have to add a phone mount to the bottom of the Pocket 3 to hold your phone.
@@Panotaker just got mine, this thing is much smaller than I thought. Just updated the firmware can’t wait to start experimenting. I did see a video where the guy had C shaped mount that used the adaptor at the bottom which allowed me to mount the phone as a monitor and even a small light
You can monitor with your phone by connecting it to the dji mimo app, and the screen is big enough that I don't really need to have my phone to monitor it
Just got the Pocket three and i am noticing that the Mic2 wireless mic seems to record at very low levels even if i increase the gain to +12 in camera i still have to increase the gain in post to get a reasonable level . Anyone else having this issue or have any info on it as nobody seems to be talking about it on youtube but look at the dji forums its obviously an issue !
Great review but genuinely not interested, if its not waterproof its not for me, I can have a osmo action 4, that gives great video and I can use it swimming, sailing, on the beach, out and about in torential rain and is much more robust, pocket 3 feels like a an answer to a question that I've never asked and its more expensive.
@@DMProductions its got to much distortion for the instances Id use the adapter for. Im sure the DJI P4 will have some way of having at least a 50mm equivalent lens. I think then its going to be hugely successful

It does but it's digital zoom and looks terrible. So it's useless. Better off using your smartphone if you want anything more than 20mm

I’m still on the fence about buying one. I worry about my Sony cameras collecting dust if this guy convinces me.
They won't. This is just a vlogging camera. Cant compete with real cameras and lenses for actual video production.

Do you have a link to the forum? I did notice the gain was quiet low but I just have mine around +4 gain

Why would you film in torrential rain - especially with a 1/1.3 sensor?
