@@fivefive9514 While I can agree with some of your words(and I am actually quite amused by the interesting points you raised and the delicacy of your control over the English language), I really can't view this game as a masterpiece. The game does seem to be a bit weak on certain aspects, especially if you judge it under triple As standards. A few of the examples from the many problems: the weapon collision response feels somewhat weak and not perfectly synced (under AAA standards), the story is quite generic and predictable, etc. It is definitely not a masterpiece. I've never played Life is Strange True Color, so let me compare this game with another (subjectively)bad game that scores higher than this game on this channel - The Last of Us 2. I can see why The Last of Us 2 would score higher than this game. While the story of The Last of Us 2 is garbage, you really can't deny that they do the basics of the game, such as control fluency, UI, animation, etc, better than this game. And this came from Naughty Dogs having much more experience in modern 3D games than this Chinese gaming studio/devs who mostly creates masterpieces of 2D or sub-3D games.. As Chinese gamers, we need to be honest and humble toward the criticism of our games if we want our gaming industry to ever improve and become competent in the western market. And a lot of the problems addressed in this video, while might be biased toward a western standpoint, should be taken seriously, since a lot of these problems would likely push western audiences away from this game. The mentioned problems cannot simply be ignored only because it is somewhat biased; we would need to realize that some of these are actual problems from a marketing standpoint. For example, the "jargon" does prevent the game from being attracted to western audiences. The problem does exist if the game wants to sell in the western market, regardless of the opinion being biased or unfair. There are 2 solutions here - either change the jargon into something western audiences can understand, or make a fucking good game that even the ones who don't understand the jargon would be willing to learn the jargon. And this raises the question: Is the studio of this game capable of performing the second solution to attract western players? It is important to know where the game stands in the current market if the game wanna sell. And I think this channel does somewhat of a good job of understanding the market and pointing out all the potential problems. Funny enough that the generic story might become merit for the western market since it makes it easier for the western audiences to get a basic grasp of the game's world-building, and thus making it easier for them to get into the series. This is why you don't see this channel bashing on this part of the game as much as eastern reviewers, who've experienced the legendary stories from the previous games in the series. In contrast, this channel definitely picked on the story of The Last of Us 2 in that review for the same reason - western reviewers/players have already experienced the legendary story of The Last of Us 1, and thus they cannot tolerate the story quality of the second game. These channels' essential mindset is to put themselves into their audiences' place and decide how the game would stand to the corresponding audience/market of their channel and this channel is doing ok on this matter. I respect your opinion of saying the review is somewhat white supremacy - that might even be true, but I do think this game deserves the score for what it is.

Just two words of warning. 1) There are a lot of cut scenes and they go on for so long that at times it feels like you are in an interactive movie. This wouldn't be too bad if the plot was complex and involving. However, the plot is very basic, when you analyse it, and I feel many of the cutscenes are just padding. Personally, I didn't find this a problem as the graphics are so awesome I could just admire the artwork. Further, you can just skip the cutscenes and play the game if you want, so no big problem there. 2) This is a bigger concern. The gameplay and combat system are fantastic. Just complex enough to be engaging but not so many bloody buttons that you feel like you need three arms. However, the Bosses are very hard. I beat the first Boss after some trial and error, watching RUclips guides and felt a great sense of accomplishment. Then, I just waded through the normal mobs very easily. Time for the second Boss with two characters. Damn me, both my characters died fast. I am in the process of studying RUclips videos going, 'How the hell am I going to do this?' Please don't get me wrong, I am not saying it's a bad game. Far from it; I think it's awesome. However, if I had been warned about how hard the Boss's are, I wouldn't have bought it. game gets insane after 15 hours, where you start doing very little dmg to bosses and they gona one-shot you. game expect you to do every side quest to get gold and buy new weapons in every city. there is no autosave so you can do puzzle for 10 mins and get into boss fight instantly and if you die you can only try again or load last save... which can be annoing asf when boss one-shots you =) playing vs watching movies ratio is about 1:10 reading subtitles was ok first 10 hours than it become tedious. combat is clunky asf, animations are mostly slow and gona miss alot and on most bosses you gona land 1-2 hits and dodge 1-2 hits and repeat for like 15 mins.. gl.
I dont know what kind of game you played but what you describe is nothing like Sword and Fairy 7. First off the game doesnt go crazy after 15 hours. You either skip all side missions or just refused to grind to level up. I have no issue killing bosses and I played on hard. Secondly, there is an autosaved. Almost every big event or cutscene it saved for you. But you can always manual save anywhere anytime and its very easy. You make it sound like people have to play for hours and no way they can save their progress. Yes there are alot of cut scenes and talking but this is not a visual novel so stop making out to be. There are fairly enough action for you to enjoy not just a "movie". Its fine if you dont like the game. Maybe this chinese style wuxia game isnt for you. But to put out false reviews is just wrong

See this is why westerners can't be trust to review chinese games. It deserves much higher than a 7.5. but it seems Noisy Pixel is pressured by white supremacy to not score it higher. Would they still give Life is Strange True Colors an 8 if it was made by chinese developers and didnt have a western setting? Way to downplay the story elements and label it as "jargon", when the highest rated JRPGs and WRPGs are flooded with what you call jargon. Its like you prefer a dumb and simpler story, which is a disservice to the genre and people's mentalities. This review is another example of evaluation pressured by western racism and politics. No matter how good or much better a chinese game gets than its predecessors and undoubtably rivals and surpasses most games in Japan and the west, it still gets downplayed by western reviewers, perhaps out of fear of "oh you rated it a 9 or higher, you must be paid by the CCP." Chinese games continue to be reviewed and scored unfairly and this review is like those IGN reviews where their words and positive stance towards the game is not reflected upon in its score. Sword and Fairy 7 deserves better reviews than this. and its not the game's fault if someone doesn't have a good enough PC. Having beaten Sword and Fairy 6 on PS4 (yes its possible), and researching SaF7, Sword and Fairy 7 can only be a 9.5 to 10 score game, those are the scores that overrated Nintendo games be getting away with anyways by its nostalgia fanatics. so that would make this game an 11.

game gets insane after 15 hours, where you start doing very little dmg to bosses and they gona one-shot you.
game expect you to do every side quest to get gold and buy new weapons in every city. there is no autosave so you can do puzzle for 10 mins and get into boss fight instantly and if you die you can only try again or load last save... which can be annoing asf when boss one-shots you =)
playing vs watching movies ratio is about 1:10
reading subtitles was ok first 10 hours than it become tedious.
combat is clunky asf, animations are mostly slow and gona miss alot and on most bosses you gona land 1-2 hits and dodge 1-2 hits and repeat for like 15 mins..
Theres no autosave in real life and yet you didnt complain.😂
@@arisuaozora i complained to god,but he didnt mentioned any updates in patch notes.
@@critical-thinker666 open another ticket. Some of the problem are not fix via patch. Individual problem requires GM help. Patch affects whole world.
@@critical-thinker666 should that fail, ask for refund. Return to “ tadpole “ form. 😂
thanks!
Literally the most useful video game review in 20+ years for me
loving the game so far, im amazed this is their first attempt at making action rpg games, love it!
...lol
@@kidrobot. ^^
lol what? it's a series that goes waaay back
Cool!
When you find out your one year old computer cant play the game...sigh.
Woah
You can pick up Chinese language with this game.
They just recently had an update, and I was curious about the series. I had never heard of it. Looks like Genshin Impact style inspired gameplay focused game with weak story. If you read any of their literature, this should not feel surprising.
i wish Chinese games have better character models in 3d. 2d era Chinese games has more variety and quality sprites
they all look like glossy dolls
it's not bad, but 2D pixel arts really have their place an value, hope they understand that and will produce both 3D and retro 2D pixel art RPG to the market. right now... I don't see any.
The ps4 version has serious graphical issues.
Am I the only one who cringes when the flowing clothing clips through the weapons hanging from their backs? That being said this looks like an improvement over 6 in a lot of ways.
No I feel it too but I’ve accepted it lol
As someone who's playing Trails of Cold Steel 3 right now, this is literally life lol
Well it's good to know I've got that to look forward to. Lol, just bought trails 1 because people say it's a great series.
@@nathankeene9236 You mean Trails of Cold Steel 1? That's Falcom's first full 3D game and it was ported from PS3 so yeah don't expect too much in the graphics department.
I am really behind the curve w/ games, is clothing clipping no longer something that's just expected?
Why did I think they were making a Mulan game lol

Oookay nerd
@@NoisyPixelNews Such an immature and juvenile response. That just goes to show what kind of minds are behind your channel. And such hypocrisy thinking you are not a nerd yourself.
Nah we are nerds here haha and our videos actually open with “what’s up nerds” it’s just our thing lol
@@NoisyPixelNews I didnt know that. I apologize. but politics aside, I honestly feel that game is deserving of a higher score from a sheer quality and ambition standpoint in every category. It would not be bad or exaggerating giving it an 8 or 8.5 at least, heck even a 9, but apparently its just not 'good enough' from your spectrum of interests and expectations, so anyways I'll leave this subject at that.
I've seen people score it much lower
Looks like the WISH version of Final Fantasy
Since this is a Chinese game, wonder if they even paid for the UE4 license to be used in this game.
Was that a robot? Human voice is better.
It is EXACTLY like Tales of Arise....everything IU,Gameplay same asGenshin, map, and the freakin owl even!!!!
Thank you for your incorrect and useless comment
yes like tales of arise but Tales OF Arise is masterpiece
its nothing like tales of arise. you has been warned.
If that's the case, tales of arise is crap. The graphics and sound ate way out of ToA league.
@@sagepirotess6312 well this game is tedious asf with 0 funny moments or anything amusing. its sterile product of china .. dont expect anything more than your grandpa whoud allow.
Dude, don't talk so near of your microphone. Sounds annoying.
