      In Canada we put our hands on our knees and say "wellll-". How different we are.

      In Germany we do that too but we say "So!" instead.

      In Sweden we put our hands on our knees and say "jaaa..." or "jaaaahapp..." (say it with a sigh) when we think about leaving

    Accurate. In American English we say “well” like “wool” when used in that context. “Well” pronounced like the place where water comes from for describing something that’s good.
