Indeed, the german language ist very structured and logical to the core. Be it word building, sentence structure or grammar, everything is according to the rules - even exceptions have their rules. The only things that do not or 'Fremdworte' (foreign words that became part of everyday language) and most 'Lehnworte' (foreign words that got integrated into the language in its pronounciation and writing).

Especially without even ever hearing the Word pronounced and on top of that from people with such a different Language. There is simply no question that the pronunciations were wrong, and they were supposed to get them wrong obviously. The question is if they were understandable. german really is one of the languages of all time. recently google translate casually spat out a 30 letter translation german word for me and normally i would day that without thinking but actively seeing the comparison of multiple words in 1 language getting turned to 1 in another makes you think how is it that we can so casually read these long words without stumbling. its not like it was a dictionary word you just see the beginning and end and know what it most like is from context, you really just need to read every letter to know whats the parts are
Try to cut them apart and pronounce them one by one, that's how it's taught in elementary school. I still do it like this with those really long words that aren't really used like "Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz" That way you can also translate and learn unknown German words. You make the cuts at: Rindfleisch etikettierungs überwachungs aufgaben übertragungs gesetz. He was a little bit confused first, but its just such a good example of how our language works.

I think there are so many words were sound really cute and German is for me not aggressive, there are so many other languages were really sound aggressive. The hardest words to pronounce in german probably are "Tschechisches Streichholzschächtelchen". I swear even I as a native german speaker struggle with it sometimes xD And for non german speakers people told me it literally just sounds like "dshyezshtch sdrchzshchtchn" xD

1:02 seems a popular word at this studio to puzzle their test subjects. it can be divided in three parts. the first four letters _Eich_ point to the favoured food of this small animal, acorns, while the next four letters _hörn_ (think English 'horn') are somewhat random to name a squirrel and the last four letters _chen_ are a diminutive. if you divide it up: Eich - hörn - chen then it is already much easier to pronounce, just learn to say it in one word then. 7:11 they did that word before too. it's not a nice choice. a compound word again and to make it even longer, set into plural form: Freundschaft[s] - beziehung - en, the relationships between friends.

They do a lot better than I'd do with Korean. Even when the pronunciation was off, they usually get the rhythm of the word correct which isn't easy when you're not used to German word boundaries like "Streich-holz-schachtel".

Not only can you seemingly combine any number of words into one longer word. In German you can stretch sentences to almost any length or use commas to form sentences that could stand on their own into a long sentence. However, you have to be concentrated when writing or reading such a sentence, otherwise it can quickly happen that in the middle or at the end of the sentence you forget how the sentence began.
I'm German too and I think German is a really "hard" and "harsh" language. Many words sound more like a command, whereas in other languages they sound melodic. For example, DANKE (Thank you) or BITTE (Please). These boys did great esp. for EICHHÖRNCHEN (squirrel) and ENTSCHULDIGUNG. ♥

In German you can put en entire story into one word. My favorite: Rhabarberbarbarabarbarbarenbartbarbierbierbarbärbel.

They did that really well. English is a very simple language. In Korean and German you can formulate things in much more detail. I hope germany will be listen more K-Pop. I love the sound of korean. I'm always happy when a korean artist speak german.
English is far removed from being a simple language. Pure bias... simple bad English is simple... English has many difficult and complex words.

Even when the pronunciation was off, they usually get the rhythm of the word correct which isn't easy when you're not used to German word boundaries like "Streich-holz-schachtel".

Not only can you seemingly combine any number of words into one longer word. In German you can stretch sentences to almost any length or use commas to form sentences that could stand on their own into a long sentence. However, you have to be concentrated when writing or reading such a sentence, otherwise it can quickly happen that in the middle or at the end of the sentence you forget how the sentence began.

I'm German too and I think German is a really "hard" and "harsh" language.
Many words sound more like a command, whereas in other languages they sound melodic. For example, DANKE (Thank you) or BITTE (Please).
These boys did great esp. for EICHHÖRNCHEN (squirrel) and ENTSCHULDIGUNG. ♥
