    That INT returned for a TD in SB XI in slow motion is probably one of the greatest pieces of film in NFL history... Raider Nation forever, Old Man Willie.

      The best thing about the shot is at the end, for me anyway, I'm still not sure whether that shot was made in Hollywood or the NFL because the way he ran was less about athleticism and more about acting flow. So dramatic, so EPIC...it almost felt like he KNEW the camera was on him and it was his time to spotlight. Maybe the finest shot ever made in NFL Films; certainly in the top 10.

      Jack The Rip Off Alworth got the better of Brown in this matchup in a few cases.Two future HOF candidates going at each other in their prime.

    That guy was an incredible player given he was a college LB and wasn't even drafted.He pretty much invented the bump and run defense of WRs and even though he didn't have great speed,he had the intangibles that are unmeasurable,heart and brains. Trully great player I remember from my youth in the 70s.

    I loved Willie Brown. Such a big cornerback. Great skill. Professional. I never knew Mercury Morris wore his arm bands. Very cool, great respect.

      I was so happy when you guys beat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl I'm a die-hard Raider fan I used to like Ronald Cunningham me personally I think that was the best quarterback you guys had

I'm a little worried about the AB situation but hopefully it will work out. And about Cunningham I gotta agree with you he is right up there with the best Eagle quarterbacks I just wish he was better coached to be more of a pocket passer and only use his freakish athleticism when necessary.

    I still get the chills when I see old man Willie intercepting in the Super Bowl against vs the Vikings and took it all the way back .. whoever reads this he will be in plaza park Visalia California July 16 2016 signing autographs are booster club Tulare kings raiders for life is throwing it . Hope to see you there .

    Way way way too low. He had the Int record for decades... The bump n run coverage was model after him. Look at that ravens defense prime example remember chris mccalister...

      Antonio Montgomery I love Willie Brown, but Paul Krause of the Vikings, who played in the same era, has the INT record, which may never be broken. If Charles Woodson couldn’t get close, no one will.

      Lane has 14, in a 12-game season. Lester Hayes had 13 (in 16) - another Raider not in the HOF that ought to be.

      Sorry Antonio Montgomery when I think of Willie brown I don't think of Chris maccalister nor when I think of the 60s and 70s raiders I don't think of the ravens I think Chris was a good player and the ravens had some excellent teams but Willie brown and the 70s raiders were rare rare air!!

    Big Play Willie Brown. Originally invited to a try out camp with the Houston Oilers in 1963. Houston did not sign him. He was a linebacker at Grambling. He later signed with the Denver Broncos as as a defensive corner. He revolutionized the game at the AFL level. Then later all of pro football. Forget about zone coverages. Willie was man to man. He then caught the eye of Mr. AL Davis. The rest they say is history. The next year WK Hicks Jr. was invited to camp as a try out from Texas Southern University. Can you imagine WK Hicks and Willie Brown in the same background?

    One of the best shut down corners ever in the history of the game. Today's receivers are so lucky there is no more bump and run coverage he and Mel Blount are the reason why they got rid of it in 1978

    Honestly him talking about bump and run coverage has made me think the NFL has gone in a half circle. we started way back in the day the cornerback could do anything and defense was much more in your face. Then they made the Mel Blount rule and it’s just gone downhill from there. Now the NFL just wants big plays on offense

    With all the cameras and tech they have today, for whatever reason they don't get shots like the perfectly lined up one of brown running back that interception in the Superbowl against minnesota. Made even more incredible by bill kings magnificent as usual call.
