Funny. He literally said that a woman in an abusive relationship should leave immediately. So ST🛑P THE CAP.

After reading this book, I decided to never get married or have sex. This book makes having sex sound awful and extremely damaging.

People bashing this book are typically women who want to be told they're always the victim who never does anything wrong.
Thats the whole reason why most marriage counseling is entirely worthless.

This book is very harmful, as a Christian Marriage and Family Therapist, I cannot recommend this book as sound marriage advice.
There is a study done by Shield Gregoire that shows for every ten women this book helped, it has harmed 15 people. While I do believe some people have found value in this book, the overwhelming evidence shows that this book's advice is not Biblically sound (convolutes theory with biblical truth) and downplays abuse in the marriage. While I'm not here to bash your own experience nor the work that you guys are doing, I am curious if you've actually worked with or consulted with a marriage and Family Therapist on resources that are actually helpful, loving, empowering and connecting for couples in marriages.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by this not being sound advice? She also did happen to mention abuse in a relationship is in a completely different category. I interpret that as something that shouldn’t be tolerated. Meaning whether it be physical or verbal abuse, that would ultimately warrant ending a relationship. I believe this concept is simple yet blissful in the end. One of the quotes from the video that sums things up for me is “withholding leads to withholding generosity leads to generosity”. I’m sure there is a verse in the Bible that could also back this up. Interested in your point of view and feedback.

Like the other person asked you, can you elaborate on what you mean?

It doesn't work in a abusive relationship and unfortunately many men insecure. He says in the book doesn't work on abusive partners.

Yeah elaborate. Exactly you're a liar. That book's advice is solid.

This sounds like a great way to empower abuse . His book is ridiculous and you are contradicting yourselves in what you are saying in this video
