      Making wine is STUPID SIMPLE.
      Combining three ingredients in right measure
      Juice
      Sugar
      And yeast.
      Place the must in a dark place and allow the yeast to break down the sugars and produce alcohol.
      If you want to see how simple home brew can be watch “Paw Paw makes wine in 40 seconds
      I’ve been brewing wine for decades. I usually ferment wine and mead.

    Always enjoy your videos Trent. My favorite wine to make is actually a Litchi wine. For my fellow South Africans you can usually find pretty good specials on getting 4lt of fruit juices from Woolworths. I've made latching wine and apple cider with these and they both came out pretty well.

    Amazing video, great work. i saw you use a refractometer after fermentation, i have had trouble in the past using them when alcohol is produced, since the thinner alcohol changes the refraction of the light and i would have wild readings. are you using a different type of refractometer or do you rely on a hydrometer for your SG readings?

      That's an excellent question. NA wine is pretty hard to do on a homebrew scale, something I am still trying to figure out. But if I were to guess you would need to find some yeast that doesnt ferment grape juice well, and use a lot less juice, maybe cut it with water. But I have no idea what that will taste like.

    Do you have any experience with the Omega's Lutra strain? I'm contemplating making a hard seltzer with it soon, but am now tempted to pour grape juice on the yeast cake after I rack the seltzer. Any idea how a beer strain would work out?

    • @TheBruSho
      @TheBruSho  3 года назад +1

      Yeah Lutra is super versatile, I don't see why you couldn't do that and come up with something awesome! I guess technically it wouldn't be a "wine" but who cares! You might not get a wine that is as dry but I am sure it will still taste good.
