I just bought a Ronin SC and it arrived yesterday. Today it completely stopped working. The app cant find it, the motors do nothing with the joystick. Totally shut out. Anyone have this issue. DJI's customer service is not good and Amazon is not taking responsibility saying it was purchased from a third party. Any help, anyone???

Thanks for this great video about the Ronin SC! I recently got one and had a lot of difficulty balancing it. Watched several video's and still had issues. But thanks to your masterclass, I managed to get it right :-) Been practising a bit and love it. Looking forward to finally do some real shooting with it!

You know with the scaling on it only the first time set up would be a bit of a hassle. If you write down where you are on the scale for all cameras and lense combinations you use the second set up would be even easier. I never knew that I wanted a gimble until today

My Lumix G85 won't connect with the Dji Ronin SC. I tried connecting it thru the PC feature but it doesn't work. It just displays connecting to pc. Can you tell me how to fix this?
Thanks for the review. The only issue i have with the use of the app is - SUPPORT and SECURITY. There is nothing stopping these being unusable in a few years because of the app support if ceasing for whatever reason. They never tell you this.
Can you get into low slung mode with GH5 and a slightly larger lens? 12-35 perhaps. Cheers

I can see why u keep all ur stuff stored in a locker. My house got broken into and they stoled all my cameras & laptops & gear. Even my big 48" motorized slider that I don't even use -___- who ever it was really wanted to hurt my feelings -___- now I'm shooting & editing everything from my phone. P.s. cool video that 3 axis gimbal is truely a beast!!!

@@therandomman2971 you're right, is not...but it has something that the S doesn't have. And it's only a matter of time (few months i guess) to release a new Ronin S (Mark2) with those things implemented.
It lasts 11 hours (1 less), but is about 60% the weight of the ronin s. ~2lb ls ~4

Awesome Kai - DJI RONIN SC is awsome gimbal overall. I use it with eos r and eos rp ( rf 35mm and ef 50mm with adapter ) and it works very stable ! have a lot of settings to make it fit on your needs !

Now, I'm a subscriber for 100 reasons without one being because my brain is completely mucked by an Asian guy on screen who speaks with a voice so English that my brain thinks the audio was dubbed... even tho it knows it's not.

Urgent help wanted from fellow users. Just bought a new RONIN SC. The main unit (not the battery grip) has a large silver lock lever, which is used to lock the battery grip onto the main unit, that lock when used as intended does not go and CLICK at the end or anything. It just only becomes slightly tighter, it does its job but there's no tactile click. Have i got a faulty lock or this is how it behaves normally ? I even tried operating the lock without the battery grip and observed the small silver locking mechanism can hardly be seen moving even when the lock lever is moved to lock and unlock positions. Can someone confirm ? Thanks.

Will this work for a canon 80D do you think?
I’ve done some research and yeah it will. The max payload is 4 lbs and the 80D with 18-55 kit lens weighs in at 1.375 lbs. So that still gives you some wiggle room to add accessories.

Zhiyun told me no, it won't work... but, I think they just wanna up-sell to a Weebill or something. (because an A7iii + Samyang 24mm is only like 50g more than advertised weight limit).

Pretty cool. The Ronin SC combined with the cell phone works well. Add the Panasonic wifi camera app and you have a fully remote control G5 for lots of otherwise impossible shots. Some that come to mind would be some remote car shots (mounted on a bumper hitch for example) or maybe some nature shots out in the field.
Could it be used for time lapse astrophotography or repeatable special effects?
I guess it just depends on how much your willing to risk and how rugged you could make the rig.

Hi there, I have the GH5s with olympus m luiko 12-40 lens. I noticed the olympus lens is not on the compatibility list.. buttt do you think it would still work with the Ronin SC? it's a light lens.. 🤔

From my understanding, this is not really compatible with the new blackmagic 6k camera unless you mod it up.

I have the Gimbal and have been trying to get it balanced (it took hours, but this is my first gimbal). When you do the focus track with the phone mount on top, do you have to rebalance the entire camera again, only to rebalance it after you take the phone off? When I put the phone on top, the entire thing was off balance.

Can anyone tell me if my Canon 750d would fit onto this gimbal? I've read many different reviews suggesting I should get the Ronin S as it's for heavier DSLRs. However I've also read that the SC as above, can securely take heavier DSLRs, the canon 750d weights under 800g with the lense, that's about 1.66 pounds.
Does it work with a GH5 with speedbooster and sigma 18-35?

is more useful to buy a pro gimbal or an arm vest steadycam for the same price?
I'm a novice but from my assumption if you are doing more all day production and film style shoots then a vest with steadycam will be nice but if you want more mobility (super low to up high, etc) and more of a casual, run and gun look so you don't stick out if that's more of your environment
Steadicams and gimbals are similar in many ways, but aren't really interchangeable pieces of equipment. Both have different strengths and weaknesses. There's some great youtube videos that explain the difference.
