I know this video was done seven years ago, but I only just came across them two days ago. Now I'm "hooked," very much appreciating your excellent explanations of how to draw the very things I've wanted to do for so long (mountains, water and waterfalls, and trees, in particular).
I love your videos. I've been drawing for almost 35 years, I do a lot of hand pin striping now but you have made me pick up my black ink again. Thank you for that. It's like coming back to a long lost love, it's all I think about
Sir. I have been binge learning from your videos. I am a watercolorist and new to that, as it is. I just love the look of pen and ink drawing wich is painted over with watercolor. It is amixed media made for each other. So now i yearn to learn pen and ink. Your videos have been so helpful. I have learned so much from you. Thank you for what you have done and are doing for us learners. God bless you, and keep up the good work.
Thank you so much. You break it down so fast. Concise and to the point. I watch a lot of tutorials and you never waste my time. Happy new year and much success to you and yours.
Hey, I'm an amateur artist and I've never received any formal art lessons, but your tutorials are utterly incredible and now I guess I have :D thank you so much for making them!
Thank you very much for this, it's well explained and absolutely gorgeous. I could never get my head around how to best draw the waterfall and this detailed it perfectly. It also gave me a new perspective on rocks, that's been a sticking point for me without my really realising.
Hi Alphonso, another great tutorial! I really liked the smoke one you did too it was super useful. Approaching a drawing kinda stresses me sometimes but these videos remind me to chill out!
I agree with pretty much all of these comments. Nice video, really processional, you must of helped/inspired thousands of people by now. Hell yeah, that's something to be proud of man. Thanks for the videos!
Thank you Sir for your tutorials. Great tips here. I have some supplies in my truck ( I work out of it). You gave me the nudge to put some ideas on paper. Thanks again!
i watched your video on scales for fish reptiles etc.. and was so fascinated i chose to watch this one.. dude.. i am sure subscribing you.. i have learnt allot.. plenty neat tricks and you break it down so simple.. i really enjoy these videos.. keep them coming!!
That s awesome . However I would like to throw my pov here if u don't mind 😬 @13:16 the middle rock on the left side its dark shading could be little blurred at some point to suggest water waves more 3 d . Obviously that's just basic but impressive sketch .and u r way more familiar with such stuff Also I might be wrong. No biggie. Cheers✌️
You are simply amazing. I am almost done with an art degree and draw well, but I still learn so much from you and I am sure so many others do too. Thank you for sharing your talent and tips!! There's always new things you can learn with art.... imagination is endless. :)
This videos are sooo useful! Thank you very much! The only thing that missing in my opinion is some music, so I opened another window and played a little bit music in the background. Sooo good
+Alphonso Dunn Your Pen & Ink Videos have been "classes" for me, getting started with this medium. I've watched all of them for texture & landscape. Great Work all around. One technical question: What type of pencil do you use & how do you get sharpened like that (good old fashioned whittling?) Keep up the great work & Thanks Again!
Really great tutorial and very helpful! Not to be that guy though but the last step, putting the horizontal strokes for the calm water, am I the only one who thinks in the midst of everything it looks a little awkward?
Hi, Alphonso! Your lessons are enjoyable and 200%useful! Do you mind me mentioning that unfortunately I haven't found any fountain drawing amongst your videos...? If I'm sort of blind or smth please point that out)) otherwise I'd like to watch such video made by you! Well, I do want to watch it :) Thanks in advance! Cheers!
yeaah, I would love to see that! now it came to me that it also could be a good idea to draw things like fog or rain... anyway, thank you one more time for everything, Alphonso! I'm grateful to your generous personality, to say the least! You are a heck of an artist ;-))
You don’t need books. Just draw what you see. That’s what I do and I’m only 13, but I’m improving a lot. instagram.com/red_dead_landscapeart?igshid=ms3v5jpdp3p7
