Allow people to trade in their single PVS-14'S for credit towards a dual system and resell the used ones allowing people to get in the game a little cheaper...
We do not sell used equipment. We recommend selling your old stuff to offset the cost of new stuff.

There’s at least a couple of companies that offer a service to convert your two PVS-14s to a dedicated dual system like the DTNVG or Sentinel, by basically installing the intensifier tube, lens, diopter etc. from the customers PVS-14s into a dual housing. Is that something you guys offer?
The reason I ask is that I have a TNC/PVS-14 with a very nice L3 unfilmed white phosphor tube, and I’ve been searching for a similarly spec’d tube to do dual PVS-14 setup, since dual tube setups with those tubes are averaging $10k. But when I discovered this service, it really intrigued, and had me curious if you guys could do that conversion, or even help source a matching tube?
Is there something like an AB mod 3 with the additional ability to swivel one tube up out of the way of a weapon sight? That's the only aspect I don't like about those

My 3rd gen pinnacle autogated Harris uses 1 aa and battery last 40 hrs not 8 with the cr battery.

Can you use a single pod on the mod 3 bridge without having the other pod connected to the bridge? So you don’t have to have 2 j arm setups for single pod use for two people, as well as having a setup for the complete mod 3 system.

Its roughly about the same price for Green Phos, Unfilmed WP is generally more expensive than a certain dedicated dual tube systems

UTV WERX Offroad Fab & Design you don’t need gpnvg. You can use duals like the rest of us lol. And you cannot privately own gpnvg, it needs to be a PO for a company.
What's up with the 51deg tubes are they tougher to focus?
Not tougher to focus, they're just blurry and you get a fish eye effect with them.
What is your recommendation on a good bridge?
TNVC makes one for these.

What if i can get 2 Pvs 14 monos for 1500 total and all I need is a bridge mount?
If you can get any PVS 14 for $1500 USD, then be suspect on the quality. The prices I have seen for used PVS 14s are around $2k.
Two for $1500 is probably not legit. Just two new complete housings would probably come close to that price.

Why do you recommend DTNVG-14 from ACT in Black so heavily?
They are the best value in the bino tube world. They are also more durable than a lot of other alternatives. That said, I had one this year, I sold it to a SWAT guy and went back to bridged 14. I'm not into the weight savings, not worth it IMO. I don't use a bump, I use a ballistic helmet so the weight never seemed significant.

No. Just bridge the PVS14 if you want a bino without going dedicated.
I saved 3000$ going the dual PVS14 route

Question about your listing on the website for your PVS 14 as it contains contradictory information.
In the beginning you list three ways it can be used, mounted on the helmet, hand held, or WEAPONS MOUNTED.
You also say it is built to the same specs as the military.
However, all the way down at the bottom of the listing, you have a warning and disclaimer that the L3 tubes are extremely robust and can handle the recoil of a weapon, but that the housing of the PVS14 can NOT and as such it is NOT recommended to be mounted on a weapon?!!?
If so you need to remove that from the beginning which is a sales point, and you also need to explain how the military uses them on weapons and how yours are built to the same specs but are NOT allowed on weapons?

Louis, you can weapon mount them on a 5.56 rifle, but none of us here recommend doing that if at all possible. It wont void the warranty or anything it just negates all the reasons to own a PVS-14.
@Emmanuel Goldstein “The military doesn’t do weapons mounted night vision, at all” Well, (clears throat) I am sure hoping when you use the term “night vision” you are using it in a very specific way, that has a very narrow set of criteria and parameters. So if you mean they don’t use PVS14’s on their weapons, ok, I’ll agree with that. Well, not necessarily up to the point that you think no one ever has and no one ever will, but as a general rule of thumb that is correct.
But if you’re using that term very broadly, to mean it encompasses ALL night vision products, you couldn’t POSSIBLY be more incorrect!
The military in fact, certainly DOES utilize them and a slew of them at that!!! They literally have an arsenal of night vision products that are weapons mounted.
So please state your interpretation of “Night Vision” so that we can clear up whether you are either NOT a very articulate writer, or you are 100% completely ignorant on the subject matter.
Thank you for going over this. After years of begging I have finally talked my Sheriff into testing the waters with a few 14s. I really want dual tubes but he wants to test them out first and see how often they are used before jumping into something more expensive. Since we are going to get couple I figured Id obtain a bridge and try to talk him into dual tubes. I think Im going to pass on that idea now.

I run two 14s on my helmet, and would mount one to my rifle if i was far away enough to where i could get away with it, it worked alright with an RCO, but it is heavy as fuck.
It’s rated for it, Marine Corps issued the full mount kits to do that too
@Emmanuel Goldstein You can drop a PVS 14 a few times and it’ll be fine shooting 556 out of an M-16 will not do much by the time any damage is done you’re probably upgrading to a different device if you aren’t using a standalone optic anyway it’s meant for emergency use for an every day soldier or marine

Disagree. The advantage of having the 2 is that they can run independently. The reasons you are giving for the disadvantages can also be seen as advantages. If I have all the money in the world cool but most of us don't.

You all did nothing but talk about how one is built to be two, vs putting two together with a bridge and that’s ALL you talked about and that’s ALL you addressed, short of a few words about weight...

Tsk tsk tsk! Amazing that ALL THREE HIGHLY SKILLED TECHNICIANS did not talk about the MAIN advantage of a Mod3, that its COLLIMATED!!!
You left out THE most important factor which is the Mod3 is COLLIMATED which is a MAJOR advantage when you’re doing ANY kind of travel, be it foot or plane, boat or train, vehicle or horseback, it doesn’t matter.
The point is you can run upstairs and jump over ravines and for all intents and purposes negotiate absolutely any terrain exactly as you would with your own eyes! Collimation gives you balance, stability and coordination, which enables you to do things you simply cannot do with two bridged PVS 14’s! Well, ok, you can, but you will probably bust your ass as well :)
Simply put, there is absolutely NO reason to buy 2 PVS 14’s when the Mod3 can be disassembled in seconds to serve the EXACT same purpose and now you have 2- 14’s while being lighter, less expensive and a night & day difference when you’re navigating ANY terrain in ANY form of transportation. This is why Mod3 goggles are given to pilots!
My ONLY 3 conclusions are, and I sure am hoping it’s the last one, cuz the first two are absolutely frightening, either you do NOT collimate your Mod3’s, which would be the sin of all sins in the NV world, OR are totally clueless that they ARE collimated, OR all 3 highly skilled and top notch technicians suddenly and simultaneously went completely brain-dead when the camera turned on and got camera shy and completely forgot about that fact.
And that my friends, is what you are NOT supposed to do when filming a video :)
