Nice. I just started dabbling in nvgs. In January, I bought a green Pvs14 for $2400. I did not use a helmet, but a crye precision nigh cap using the rhino ii mount. All in all, I only have $2600 in my set up. I also bought an Olight ir laser and olight Odin IR for my AR15, so $2900 for everything night vision. I work day shift, so I’ve never used my nvgs for police work, but I have used them to hunt coyotes and secure my property at night. Defiantly worth the $$$ for me. Probably the coolest thing I own
Our SWAT can't even get these funded from the county and they few we have is surplus and restricted to the seasoned SWAT guys. We're lucky to get paid lmao
Do patrol officers ever get to use this equipment? You're getting them for free through your channel sponsors, but regular officers probably can neither afford them, nor will their department issue any.
Wtf why would we pay for a patrol officer to have these lol, only swat if anybody should technically need them and from what I remember they do have them or can get them from your local guard
I think something that you’ve been seen in Ukraine. A lot is laser detection device on helmets so that they can know if they’re being leased by a drone.
For most civilians (like me) it's more of a hobby than playing soldier. I myself want NODs cause I think they're cool and wanna try night time shooting
I was 11xb and I’m a civilian now and I’ve seen some the new stuff they have and it is reducing stress on the neck but nvg’s with a Mitch or new Kevlar is heavy period lol
@@beakiethegoon4439 yea but I’m confused to the question ? Depending on the set up, you pick the weight needed to even everything out but it’s all still very heavy I’m just saying they have shit that I never got now, and it’s way lighter, duel tubes have gotten way lighter I’m speaking from like 07 to 10 shit was hand me down and heavy

I doubt he is getting any of those for free, it's all stupid expensive gear (the night optics), like expensive like a car
Zero application for a patrol officer to use night vision. What a dumb statement.
@@nathancummins8728 as a patrol guy, I use NV often. Especially in rural environments.

@@marcogenovesi8570 some those duel tubes are more than a average car lol, I was looking at a pair couple days ago that was like 36,000 I believe
I want nods so bad. About to take the dog for a walk at night to reason the spending!
theres also quad nods but those run for 40-50k and are designed for military uses
When do police use night vision?
Mostly for SWAT and surveillance.
Surveillance, drug interdiction, rural area observation, and special threats.

@Emmanuel Goldstein Pretty much.
Your videos are not goofy

NVGs for civilians is peak LARPerism. I'm ex infantry I hated wearing these fking things.
Messed up my neck but gave me the ability to see in the dark and shoot at night.
