Hasbro's figures should have stayed at $19.99. That is a reasonable price for good quality figures from Hasbro with their large production runs. (economies of scale)
At the time the cost of Covid era shipping was cited as the reason behind at least one of those increases. Shipping costs dropped since then, but the price increase stuck around.
@@BioRobot1978 The world reaction to the fake situation was unwarrented. Of course the prices stayed high. Hasbro is not willing to give up even a penny even though they will actually lose their entire business over it. Hasbro is full of weird people.
One possible problem with the Power Rangers Lightning Collection line was the ability to make the monsters affordably. There was not a lot of parts re-use possible with the wide variety of monsters. The monsters would have been fun and might have had more appeal beyond Power Rangers fans.
I’m still pissed that Hasbro bought Power Rangers to basically kill it. It’s like they don’t know how to do anything creative with already existing properties.
@@cmbrock1 Not really. It was still doing fine. The problem is when Hasbro bought it, they were run by a CEO who loved the brand and had many employees who were fans. Then Covid happened. They lost their CEO for the new pedo looking dude, who HATES Power Rangers (well, toys in general) and laid off all of their staff who were PR fans.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork it looks like you’re talking about what happened when they got the license and what happened to it. Before that there was a few releases far and in between of stuff but it never panned out and it was a lot of start then stop. Until Hasbro bought it there was no consistency we didn’t get any villains since the 90’s toy line.
@@cmbrock1 I was not a fan of Bandai, but they always made sure there was PR product on the shelves for the current show. They had the zords out all of the time. Hasbro barely had anything. THey didn't even release all of the zords for BM or DF.
Why isn't Hasbro focusing on Power Rangers and D&D action figures? Hasbro owns those brands just like Hasbro owns GI Joe and Transformers. Had Hasbro done a proper job on the D&D action figures they could have wiped out Four Horsemen Studios' Mythic Legions line. D&D is a well now fantasy brand with HUNDREDS of novels, comic books, RPG game art, video games, and movies to draw from But, nnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooo Hasbro had to be weird about the whole situation.
To Bobby's query about what they're doing with Classified...I heard someone say "they do it for the love of the brand, not to make the profits". Literally I had to laugh at this response...if someone thinks toy companies do things for that reason, they are completely lost in their own lack of reality
There would be a huge market for this. If he made them scale with the old toybiz figures I’d just launch my money at him. DST urkai are cool the rest are crap. Lord of the rings collectors would mix well with action figures collectors.
@@mrmola3295 I’ve got it im not that big a fan of the DST one. You should check out the beast kindom one, out of the 3 Sauron figures this is by far my favourite.
If the operating profit on an in-house brand is not very high it could mean: too much is being spent on new tooling (That seems odd because GI Joe has a ridiculous amount of repaints immediately after a production run) some funds are mysteriously being re-routed
The Dreadnoks are a lot of fun. I don't have any because I had to give up on the line. However, those are still fun and entertaining characters. It would be great if they actually made some more new Dreadnoks characters.
Yeah but the way they are churning them out, there won't be any left in to make in 2 years. Lenny has openly admitted to being a dreadnok fanboy. And that's fine, but just like Bobby said, don't forsake great joes just to bolster the dreadnok ranks!!!
@@RandomStuffGarage619 The only ones left from the original line of figures are: Monkeywrench, Thrasher, Zanzibar, and the punk version of Zartan (Ninja Force). Some new Dreadnoks characters might be fun. Yes, they should have spaced them out a little more to make sure more of the original Joes were released earlier.
@@RandomStuffGarage619 Zartan's daughter in the comic books was called Zanya. Yes, she would make a nice addtional action figure along with many other background Dreadnoks (a cartoon episode had many wannabes who tried out for the team where Monkeywrench and Thrasher were allowed to become members).
The thing with board games like Monopoly is that the standard set isn't the only one that gets made. They also make a crap-ton of themed versions that some people might want to collect just for that reason. Lord alone knows the number of special sets I found out about after the fact that I would have wanted to get because of the franchise they came from, not that I'm much of a Monopoly player in the first place...
I have a kid version my 6 year old loves to play. I have a star wars version (came out after rots so it's pre-disney themed) I would buy a gi joe themed version. Maaayyyyybe a marvel version. That's about it.
I love How Bobby Vala stands behind his products. I am so good that he address when issues come up on his products. He lets people know when things need attention and always seen email or address on social media.🤩🤩 Way to go Bobby of Valaverse
Never thought you'd get Bobby in those EDM glasses. Well done, both of ya! Great cosplay video, Bobby. Ole girl looked good. Very Pandora! Question: Potato, Bobby...opinions on the first wave of Monster Force?
Wicked Cool Toys was making the HALO action figures right about when they were acquired by Jazwares. The first wave of the 7" figures had MAJOR quality control issues.
I might have gotten some of those McFarlane Toys Avatar figures, but I never once saw them on a store shelf Sometimes the stores put things on clearance WAY too fast. Some of us, maybe most of us, don't go to the store every single day for any reason, much less buying action figures. The stores should be a little, or a lot, more patient.
My local Walmart has no G.i.joe Of any kind and the other Walmart in a 45 minute radius have the Retro (duke) still on the peg hooks. They don't even have the new Wave
@@3POAPodcast not that I have seen. I really should ask some of the employees that I used to work with there (I worked at a target for 9 years up until 3 years ago) to check if they have them or let me know when they get them
I gave thought to that delay on gijoe. Could it be because of the potential loss of the marvel license so they're gonna pump out as much as they can before it expires? And yes, marvel legends are pretty thin at target and Walmart. I only see the X-Men 97 stuff. There's no gijoe at Walmarts around me(aside from the ones collecting dust on pegs). Same with star wars. Tons of it but I don't see it moving. Especially those budget 3 3/4" figures. Tons of pegs loaded with em.
HASLAB never needed to exist! The DragonMan open pre-order was always how the products should have been released. The distribution at Hasbro has been pathetic! Fans have missed out on a lot!🤦🏾♂️
I agree most has lab doesn't need to be has lab but stuff like the unicron, Janna Sail barge the proton packs those were worthy haslab . even the the echo one is a good value in my eyes but that's my opinion
@@CrimsonCobraCommander I believe that all of the projects could have been done without taking the customers money up front. If a prototype is shown, that means the sculpts and the tooling already exists. Hasbro has acted like tooling and sculpts are part of the final project cost when it is not the case.
I can say from first-hand experience as a consumer, that yes it does appear like Hasbro is down. Because you guys are right action figures are only a small part of it. I was at my local Ollies 2 weeks ago and they had two full aisles of Nerf and Super Soakers. Does over 100 employees that were just let go were all from Wizards of the Coast. Hasbro is not doing good, and I personally feel like getting rid of the CEO might be the best idea. Because this is the guy that has been steering them in this bad direction, this is the guy who says Hasbro isn't a toy company and wants to shift focus and turn it into a video game company when the video game industry is suffering so badly.
For adding mechs to Action Force start small and simple and gradually build up to bigger and better like real product development cycles. Or Do whatever you feel like doing.
Hasbro will never learn, less is more. Some of theses past deluxe figures, will be scaled down and pushed onto Retro, for half the price. Great show everyone.
@@xWhitechapelx It was on life support, but the lack of effort after spending so much money to actually acquire the intellectual property of Power Ranger and then let it just die because they didn’t know that to do with it is insane. Power Rangers just needs to be updated and geared towards a more mature audience like it was in the comics. It also didn’t help that Hasbro gave you the bare minimum when it came to accessories and quality. Not trying to sound like a shill for Valaverse but just with how he did his Legend of the White Dragon figures makes me wish that he actually got his hands on the License. I feel like he’d find a way to bring new life to the franchise.
@@antonshagswell I was talking more about GI Joe Classifieds about the waste they made on the deluxe figures and how many of them will be scaled down to push on to the Retro line. I guess it can be said the same for Power Ranger and other franchises, in the loss of money and product they've made. Hasbro will never change, and soon to be in ruins, if not already.
@@xWhitechapelx It just blows my mind how they can be given all the ingredients to make a delicious chicken salad and they only know how to make chicken shit. Very sad state of affairs.
@@antonshagswell it's the way many companies are today not just Hasbro. Hasbro does not want to make toys any more and that's been proven. Anything they do make, half the time belongs in the trash, and or they make things, made for a select group that's over priced and will never follow the source material. If companies like Valaverse had a hold of the major licensees, like McFarlane does. They would all burn Hasbro to the ground in an instant. Hasbro is in freefall and it wont be long till they completely stops being a toy company and if not already, turn into a niche company for certain franchises for the highest bidder.
Yep as soon as they lose star wars and marvel they will only have gi joe. It's obvious already that's the basket they are putting all thier eggs into. I just hope whoever gets the disney licenses will keep them the same scale and crank out the stuff we are missing from the original trilogy.
Selling small vehicles and playsets with a figure in a classified is a huge mistake. The point of these things was to make them affordable so people would buy multiples of them for use with their EXISTING FIGURES or to encourage them to buy other figures with their purchase. I want the Cobra outhouse, but I do not want it with another alley viper. And I sure as hell am not buy 5 or 6 at the price point with a figure to get a bunch of alley vipers I'm just going to have lying around.
Marvel and Star Wars leaving Hasbro would be the end of those product lines altogether. The only way a different company could be successful is if they stick to the exact same style and scale at the same or better quality at the same or lower price. If those conditions are not met then it is a perfect jumping off point for collectors. Who is going to re-buy well over a decade's worth of products without major incentives like better quality and lower prices? Also, there is the problem of Ol' Mousy doing whatever ridiculous thing it is doing with those brands. Either Hasbro keeps these brands going as they are or it is all completely over!
@@chewymew It's a shame, but....oh well. The rest of us can easily find or make better things anyway. The original Star Wars movies and older Marvel comics way back in the 80s and 90s were, and still are, great.
Hasbro took a decent line inherited from the Toybiz buy-out and slowly descended the line into the mediocre it is nowadays. No paint, little sculpt, marbled cheap plastic & character design have contributed to this situation. What appears to be the crime in this scenario is that the collectors (i.e. Hasbro's consumers) have had to pay the consequences throughout. Combine the ever increasing MSRP & the perfect storm has been created. Thanks a ton for this video guys - this is a subject that needs to be discussed openly to help us collectors understand the business.
This is nothing against you 3POA, but this crap was spouted a few years ago the last time the license was coming up for renewal. I doubt it is any more true than it was back then. However, my personal support for the line is dwindling. Once they give me Banshee, Harry Leland, and the Enforcers, I'm pretty much done with ML. I'll still buy some figures like if they were to do like a Romita Sr Spidey, Romita Jr Hobgolbin, and updated versions of the Claremont X-Men team, but I'm getting tired of their antics. There's no point in even preordering figures anymore as they'll be on clearance like a month after they come out, assuming they arent discounted when the come out (like Phoenix being $25 at Target while $50 everywhere else). At this point, my attention is turning towards Mafex.
The last time the license was up for renewal Hasbro was in a much better position financially as were the Star Wars and Marvel properties. We’re not saying that they will definitely part ways, but there are way more signs pointing in that direction now more than ever. Did you watch this show before you commented?
Hasbro's move to Boston is further indication that Hasbro is getting out of the toy maing business. Boston is now a large tech hub. Hasbro wants to be closer to the new talent that they want woring for the company.
I actually only noticed this today (I usually listen to these, but don't really look at your ugly faces :P ). You changed the intro video! Love it! Very cool. :) Thanks for pointing out the eye and hands problem on the Giant-Man. I didn't receive mine yet, but I'll definitely pay attention to it. And yes, I agree, they could and should have thrown in the Skrull head. :s The financial overview sure was interesting and it surely shows things are not going very well for Hasbro. But I was hoping for more concrete news on the Marvel license. My conclusion is that it's just speculation at this point and nobody really knows. Hey, I get it, that's how you get people to watch the show. No problem. :) Interesting is also that when you google Hasbro Marvel license, you got exactly the same kind of questions and speculations the last time the license was renewed. Wait & see, I guess... I've said it before, but even though I collect his DC Multiverse figs (and some of his other lines... WH40K for example is a franchise that really works well when Todd does it... big, clunky Space Marines, right up his alley), I would hate for McFarlane to take over Marvel Legends. Knowing Todd, he'll do them in 7 inch. That would probably put an end to me collecting Marvel Legends, which I've been doing since the early Toybiz days. Also, and I don't know how much this matters to the parent companies, but McFarlane has zero international presence. But how comes I can buy the figures then? Well, McFarlane's merchandise is imported by global distributors such as Heo (and Bandai which does a fuck-up job in the UK), but unlike Hasbro and Mattel he has no actual presence himself. I also often have the impression he has little to no interest in the global market outside of North America. Now, I'm not necessarily saying it would be a bad thing to give the license to another company. It's healthy to refresh and shake up things every now and then. I would be interested in seeing what Jada could do with the line for example. Or could Mattel do a better job than their big rival? But I would like a continuation of the existing line and franchise. That's why I'm not very interested in McFarlane taking over, 'cause you know he'll just do his own thing, 'cause that's what Todd does... PS: Ryan, I also noticed during this video Bobby really doesn't want to make anything you like... no dragon, no polar bear... poor friend if you ask me. ;)
I'm just disappointed in Hasbro's lack of distribution, most characters never reach certain states, the Techo-Vipers basically non-existant on Ky shelves and don't get me started on the Transformers brand where Cosmos NEVER even made it to shelves and the scalpers had a field day. There's never a good supply of certain characters that people REALLY want like the Shattered Glass Sky-Fire.
Action Force has to be around for 10 years before any animals? How long has Action Force been around so far? 3 or 4 years now? That seems like a really long time. I, personally, don't have a strong need for an animal at the moment. I'm enjoying whatever it is that Valaverse comes up with right now. Dogs would be the most likely first animal anyway.
If Hasbro get rid of Star Wars and or Marvel, who’s going to take it? Knowing that Disney have rather high asking prices and margins get slim so who would want the burden having seen the failures and the shelves at Ollie’s?
@@3POAPodcastif I’m being honest I’d rather they stay with Hasbro because once they leave, then my collecting them is done. Financially I’m happy. Certainly not going to be happy if Super7 got it…. McFarlane don’t make 1/12, and their joints are ugly…. Mattel could as they’ve gone from strength to stretch with WWE…. I don’t know. Thoughts?
I am also getting a feeling that Hasbro might just be done with the Marvel license too, and that's strictly because they are back to redo EVERYONE from the core teams with pinless joints. Sure, they look nicer than the original Toybiz and Hasbro figures, and I love the current headsculpt aesthetics. BUT now I also feel that 1) I already own most of my favorites and 2) Most of the figures I actually wanted, I now own. I sold my Legends collection in 2018. I rebought a lot of Legends this year, but I got a lot of them through deals, and going through ebay to acquire well priced lots. It's not that expensive to get into them because save for a few "rare" figures, most main characters are easily accessible. Except that's it now when it comes to the new Legends figures. I am not rebuying the full roster of characters I want again, because I have them. And the Marvel stuff I want is 80s-90s era stuff for the most part, and they are deep into re-releasing those characters nowadays. And I am not going for a universe again but select characters. I have no interest in the MCU shenanigans either, so right there that's a lot of the Hasbro line that I am not buying, except for customs when they are on sales. Look, I am not basing the entire collecting experience on my own. But I have seen that toyline run for a VERY long time, and I have been there since the beginning. But guess what ? At this point, if you want a 6 inch Marvel toy collection, you have now a lot of options for your main dudes, and you also have a lot of character selection that is still readily available. And seeing how a lot of these are now overpriced and often end up in bargain outlets, stating that Marvel doesn't have the appeal is used to have is a very non controversial statement, and seeing how expensive, it wouldn't be that surprising to see Hasbro parting ways with Disney on the Marvel front.
I collect both lines so here goes: maybe, MAYBE they are addressing factory issues that have been causing QC issues for classified and that is causing a delay. Hey, a guy can dream right???
The GI Joe Classified brand was severely damaged by: price hikes low quality products WINDOWLESS boxes bizarre distribution (like ridiculous HasLabs and convention exclusives and Target exclusives, and on and on and on People just want to be able to collect the action figure line and vehicles at reasonable prices and reasonable ease of acquiring the items. Jumping through hoops and ridiculously over priced HasLabs with no way of getting the items in a few years is just not working. The collecting fans have longer time horizons than kids. The collecting fans have more money than kids. Hasbro has no business limiting quantities for the people that want these products and are willing to pay for them. Hasbro destroyed their own brand.
Since when has hasbro stop making GI Joe, transformers, power rangers? When they license it to other companies there just maximize profits. There still making toys of there IP and extra by out sourcing them as well.
It seems odd that Hasbro was able to balloon their workforce so quickly in 2020. That seems like an incredibly fast reaction to a panic situation for many people. What kind of people infested Hasbro at that time?
The problems at Hasbro have been obvious for years. People outside of the company may not know the details in Hasbro, but they can clearly see problems. The Hasbro employees getting laid off should not have been surprised by losing their job. They should have had their resumes ready and some possible leads to new jobs lined up much earlier.
If only there were a small group of people at Hasbro who could afford to earn several million dollars less per year. We all know what decisions keep the executives happy.
Aside from the regular, mass release $24.99 Classified figures at the Targets around here (when they have them) all of the exclusives, and all of the deluxe figures have hit clearance at multiple stores near me (Boston area) and in large quantities, like no one bought any of them. PP Copperhead hit $8, Gnawgahyde hit $25...I paid $16 for Metalhead and even that felt like too much, he kinda sucks. None of the Walmarts here even have pegs for Joe. The only Joe they have are the MacFarlane Page Punchers, and those are on clearance too.
Oh, if Asia sales are up then Hasbro is not bothering to send any products to the rest of the world. Hasbro wants to cut costs like shipping costs. So there are going to be some figures that just never get sold in America at all. The Dick Tracy Blank figure never made it into America and only got distributed in Canada. There are numerous similar situations over the decades.
the gi joe brand has softened...just like their plastic.😂😂 Im not surprised either. There is no marketing or media behind the brand that I can see. and as a kid who owned joes not having a nice file card is a huge mistake. I lived in nowhere Saskatchewan. I never had access to joe comics and no cartoon when joe first started and the file card was everything to me. I got to the toy store once every few months with 10 maybe 20 bucks in my pocket if I was lucky. id spend hours in the kmart toy ilse reading everything on the joe boxes/packaging trying to find what I wanted. there's nothing on the new packaging and how are kids supposed t know about the symbols and the website?
They probably want people to go online to look everything up. They've been trying to get people to use smart phones and computers to get connected to all their different "resources". All that nonsense is too much. We just want the action figure and maybe some comic books or cartoons. We just want a break from technology and entertain ourselves for a little bit.
GI Joe Classified is being cancelled. Why? Because Hasbro does not want to make toys anymore. GI Joe is already being outsourced to Hiya toys. Hasbro is going to run with that.
I see what Hasbro is doing. If they license their product, they see a nice little check with very little risk. ☹☹why not license had cut staff and contract work. does anyone actually want to make stuff anymore??
Successful HasLabs do not make the GI Joe Classsified brand successful. That is only a small number of fans and customers. Hasbro really needs to get all the products into retail stores for everyone to find. There is no way Hasbro can get any new fans or customers if the majority of the people in the world has no idea it even exists.
Aside from the stomach tattoo, I love the Roadpig figure, worth the $. Also sad to admit I liked classified Raptor, but Gnawgahide can suck it. Hit and Run? Really? You already made him in action force 😂
Ummm.... That VP guy should really care about who is buying the products. Are the products reaching the target demographic customers? That VP guy sounds like he was a problem. Maybe he is gone by now.
Hasbro's CEO acts the way he does out of his thirst for revenge on the WHOLE world due to has name. Didn't anyone ever tell him that all he had to do was make decent decisions and make good products and no one would care about his name?
Bobby Vala probably really shouldn't take his company public. Once other people are involved in the ownership of the company they might find ways to push him out of his own company. He would have to be very careful to make sure that doesn't happen.
@@LaserPants no. They a specific license. There is zero chance McFarlane will get the Marvel Legends license. That’s four steps back, his figures still use 2000 technology in terms of build. And those rubber diapers

I actually started whating the shows from the beginning because of those action figures (up to Power Rangers In Space now) Those action figures fit in nicely with other 6" action figures.
It does seem very odd that board games seem to sell so much. Maybe the sales are due to kids losing pieces or breaking the games (stop having temper tantrums when losing!). Parents really need to teach their children to properly take care of their things so they don't need to contantly buy things over and over again.
If Hasbro doesn't renew with Marvel and whoever takes it over doesn't do 6 inch figures to scale with Hasbro's Legends I'm done . Marvel Nerds to make whoever does legends stick to 6 inch scale .
Clownfish TV has been predicting that Hasbro wants to be out of the toy business for at least two years by now. Their prediction is pretty obvious considering the poor decisions Hasbro has been making for years now. That's a shame because Hasbro did have some nice action figures a while ago.
I still can’t believe that Hasbro can’t even make an o ring figure right as it is a hit or miss. lol Sargent slaughters legs and arms. Suck with the triple t cross over
Hasbro's board of directors had no business making a video game guy from the Tiny Not Hard the CEO of Hasbro. Hasbro is a toy company. Well.....it was. Now, Hasbro is going to be absolutely NOTHING!
Quick comment about Bobby saying that if Hasbro ran a HasLab, it would essentially be done and off of their books (so turn a quick-ish buck I think was his point). That's not necessarily true about a kickstarter-type/HasLab project for the record. If a HasLab takes over a year to complete and deliver, then it becomes a version of "Accounts Payable" and remains on the books until the transaction (GiantMan, Cantina, etc) is built, shipped and received. THIS point makes me wonder a little bit more that Hasbro is getting rid of Marvel. It seems like they are staying lean for some reason going into 2025...in regards to Marvel. I cant imagine that they would get rid of Star Wars. Its truly an evergreen product
Both Marvel and Star Wars could have been evergreen. However, sales of both brands are WAY down. A large part of the problem with from Disney not producing acceptable entertainment. All of the Marvel and Star Wars stuff ending up at deep discounters like Ollie's shows that these IPs are no longer evergreen.
The McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse action figures are disappointing. The proportions and quality are not quite right for those figures. Some obsessive fans will buy anything, but those people are not enough to keep these action figure lines profitable.
I wish Bobby would make 3 3/4 to 4 inch o ring figures at least 6 or 12 it would make Chad and all the rest of us happy. Come on Bobby give us one cool Squad and call it the Cool Squad Brute Force Or Mercenaries or V Force 😎😎 V Squad or V Platoon
great fig community report bros yeah, I kind of guessed at the state of Hasbro s finances by just looking at clearances this incredible roll out of figs in a rat race - collector business the tooling... it can t be profitable to create different figs all the time. I admit I was baffled at how they introduced the classifieds... the proper way was to go like in 82, and play safe. 12 - 15 heroes, an enemy leader, and just tons of the same 2 molds - troops the money is in the bad guys, look at he man. Mattel got the concept right, he man with 2 - 3 friends, take on skeletor and 20+ villains it s like that for superman, imagine... just one hero, and you sell many bad guys superman is very easy for a newcomer, one guy to get, then, a big choice of villains to fight against robots, monsters, aliens, superpowered guys, women, 20+ it s the perfect example of a 'story' business mode also, the classic toy making approach. why has it failed then? not enough novelty to keep the story - business going once you have all the established bad guys, it get boring the story has to evolve, but superman does nt really... although he can, but that could 'dilute' him if you go mc do fairlane, and do 50 types of supermen, you ll kill the character long term. I d say that past 5 versions... you hurt your character s essence, depth. I think that if you want to make it big in the fig business... you have to think G Lucas ; it s always THE STORY! the art makes money, if you prioritise the money... you have no art left, and go broke. it s poetic justice, it s supposed to be about spirituality [values] as art! so now you know... God bless America and world peace good work team!

Bobby you say the Joe character are lower tier characters but all your characters are c tier characters as well I mean no disrespect but you don't have and sort of media so I don't understand why you complain about it. Now you are making good figure. But so is classified.
No I understand that. But the characters are still band c tier characters they are not a character and Hasbro Joe team can't just do the top tier characters otherwise they will run out of character and the line will end plus people would every have a favorite character that's not top tier mine is Shockwave and NF Shockwave and if they only did top tier characters I don't think he would have been made. I has nothing to do with quality of figure it has to do with the amount of information out there and there not much on these characters yet I'm not saying they can't become top tier characters it with the information we have out there disspite how good the figure is or character until the characters become main stream and has media it will be a c tier characters.
10/26/2024 Bobby Vala defends Hasbro, minds blown, the world ends, people are still unreasonable, Bobby haters still hate.
I’m still pissed that Hasbro bought Power Rangers to basically kill it. It’s like they don’t know how to do anything creative with already existing properties.
To be fair it was already dead before they brought it.
@cmbrock1
Could have been revived had it been bought by people with a vision for it. Instead, Hasbro paid $500m to just pull the plug lol
D&D is a well now fantasy brand with HUNDREDS of novels, comic books, RPG game art, video games, and movies to draw from

@hammertronactionfigures2426 I forgot her name but zartans daughter would be awesome.
@@RandomStuffGarage619 Zartan's daughter in the comic books was called Zanya.

Wish Hasbro would finish the rest of the Gi Joe original 13
The thing with board games like Monopoly is that the standard set isn't the only one that gets made. They also make a crap-ton of themed versions that some people might want to collect just for that reason. Lord alone knows the number of special sets I found out about after the fact that I would have wanted to get because of the franchise they came from, not that I'm much of a Monopoly player in the first place...

Neither of us have them
Ohhhh but damn that's a great question!!! I have van helsing on the way thanks to junkion enabling me!
Wicked Cool Toys was making the HALO action figures right about when they were acquired by Jazwares.
The first wave of the 7" figures had MAJOR quality control issues.

Sometimes the stores put things on clearance WAY too fast.
My Walmarts are hit and miss too. Does your local Target stores have them?
No, it’s because of they were counting on it being a $60 million brand but projected sales came in at only $23 million.

@@CrimsonCobraCommander I believe that all of the projects could have been done without taking the customers money up front. Because this is the guy that has been steering them in this bad direction, this is the guy who says Hasbro isn't a toy company and wants to shift focus and turn it into a video game company when the video game industry is suffering so badly.
my issue wit that polar bearr is that its out of scale. they are allot bigger than that.

Or, sell me your alley vipers 😁
Marvel and Star Wars leaving Hasbro would be the end of those product lines altogether.
The only way a different company could be successful is if they stick to the exact same style and scale at the same or better quality at the same or lower price.
If those conditions are not met then it is a perfect jumping off point for collectors.
Who is going to re-buy well over a decade's worth of products without major incentives like better quality and lower prices?
Also, there is the problem of Ol' Mousy doing whatever ridiculous thing it is doing with those brands.
Either Hasbro keeps these brands going as they are or it is all completely over!

Bobby’s outro 😂😂😂👍
Love it! Very cool. :)
Thanks for pointing out the eye and hands problem on the Giant-Man. I didn't receive mine yet, but I'll definitely pay attention to it. And yes, I agree, they could and should have thrown in the Skrull head. :s
The financial overview sure was interesting and it surely shows things are not going very well for Hasbro.
PS: Ryan, I also noticed during this video Bobby really doesn't want to make anything you like... no dragon, no polar bear... poor friend if you ask me. ;)
At least i can catch the vod
I'm just disappointed in Hasbro's lack of distribution, most characters never reach certain states, the Techo-Vipers basically non-existant on Ky shelves and don't get me started on the Transformers brand where Cosmos NEVER even made it to shelves and the scalpers had a field day.
There's never a good supply of certain characters that people REALLY want like the Shattered Glass Sky-Fire.
Great livestream Ryan. Looking forward to seeing you and Bobby at RICC. I hope you both will bring those cool glasses. 😎

It would probably be chopped up among many other companies
Who would you prefer pick up those licenses?
That’s a dream alright…

It seems odd that Hasbro was able to balloon their workforce so quickly in 2020.
That seems like an incredibly fast reaction to a panic situation for many people.
What kind of people infested Hasbro at that time?
The problems at Hasbro have been obvious for years.
People outside of the company may not know the details in Hasbro, but they can clearly see problems.
The Hasbro employees getting laid off should not have been surprised by losing their job.
They should have had their resumes ready and some possible leads to new jobs lined up much earlier.

Yes I want players bases or forts for these figures and so do slot of other people
Oh, if Asia sales are up then Hasbro is not bothering to send any products to the rest of the world. Hasbro wants to cut costs like shipping costs.

The Dick Tracy Blank figure never made it into America and only got distributed in Canada.
There are numerous similar situations over the decades.

As a san diegan... that was bobbys weakest sign off ever 🤣
The batwing is at Khloe s $15 $20
The McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse action figures are disappointing.
The proportions and quality are not quite right for those figures.
Some obsessive fans will buy anything, but those people are not enough to keep these action figure lines profitable.
I wish Bobby would make 3 3/4 to 4 inch o ring figures at least 6 or 12 it would make Chad and all the rest of us happy. Come on Bobby give us one cool Squad and call it the Cool Squad Brute Force Or Mercenaries or V Force 😎😎 V Squad or V Platoon
great fig community report bros
yeah, I kind of guessed at the state of Hasbro s finances by just looking at clearances
this incredible roll out of figs in a rat race - collector business
the tooling... it can t be profitable to create different figs all the time.
I admit I was baffled at how they introduced the classifieds...
the proper way was to go like in 82, and play safe.
12 - 15 heroes, an enemy leader, and just tons of the same 2 molds - troops
the money is in the bad guys, look at he man.
Mattel got the concept right, he man with 2 - 3 friends, take on skeletor and 20+ villains
it s like that for superman, imagine... just one hero, and you sell many bad guys
superman is very easy for a newcomer, one guy to get,
then, a big choice of villains to fight against
robots, monsters, aliens, superpowered guys, women, 20+
it s the perfect example of a 'story' business mode
also, the classic toy making approach.
why has it failed then?
not enough novelty to keep the story - business going
once you have all the established bad guys, it get boring
the story has to evolve, but superman does nt really...
although he can, but that could 'dilute' him
if you go mc do fairlane, and do 50 types of supermen, you ll kill the character long term.
God bless America and world peace
good work team!
Who are Superman’s best villains in your opinion?
@@3POAPodcast I gave up on him long ago, but I d say some felt capable ; bizarro, luthor in armour, brainiac, the gen zod & friends. but new ones were created, some quite powerful. if it s about making money, I d have no problem making 'army builders' in the form of luthor or brainiac s creatures. Dr mindbender is my joe equivalent, there s no limits to what 'he can invent' in theory. ha, ha.
thanks bro.
Bobby you say the Joe character are lower tier characters but all your characters are c tier characters as well I mean no disrespect but you don't have and sort of media so I don't understand why you complain about it. Now you are making good figure. But so is classified.
Bobby is building something new from the ground up. That doesn’t happen overnight for a small independent company. Your comparison makes no sense.
That's what I was trying to say I ment not disrespect . Valaverse has been putting out better looking figures as of lately I just bought two which are coming soon and I'm excited about getting them. I was just trying to understand his point of view so forgive me if I said anything wrong
@@CrimsonCobraCommanderbut you’re saying Bobby’s characters are “bad” and “C-tier”. As compared to what? His other series 1-2 characters? His line doesn’t have the history that GI Joe has. It’s brand new. Some characters haven’t been fleshed out yet. So how can they be “c-tier”. Based on what? It’s new and more comics and other media are coming.
And if you think Bobby’s characters are “bad”, why are you buying them?
I has nothing to do with quality of figure it has to do with the amount of information out there and there not much on these characters yet I'm not saying they can't become top tier characters it with the information we have out there disspite how good the figure is or character until the characters become main stream and has media it will be a c tier characters. Like I said it has absolutely nothing to do with quality. All his current characters look great I and I will probably buy more figures when I can but classified will come first because I now more about these characters that's all I was trying to say
@@CrimsonCobraCommander I never said you did mention the quality of the figures. This was about your comments on character selection.
And did someone tell you not to buy classified first? Buy what you want. Nobody cares. 🤷🏼♂️
Hasbro is ridiculous
Wtf they can just make the figures right like they used to. This is not a one time thing with Hasbro o ring figures. First was the Cobra Officer leg mold the legs suck and don’t bend right. Then zartan legs suck to and now Sargent Slaughters legs suck and his arms. And the QC number on Amazon was missing a number so you can’t reach Hasbro. Lmao 😂 I think we need a class action law suit to get an action figure recall cause this is pathetic paying top dollar to end up with crap. Delta17 can make o ring figures no problem but yet Has to can’t. Wow
Wrongggggggggggg
What’s wrong?
