I'm surprised you've heard there's nothing to do in Wellington. There's the Te Papa Museum, Cable Car and Botanical Gardens, Zelandia, hiking up Mount Victoria, there's a lot more museums and the Wellington Zoo just to name a few things. Hope you give it a chance :)

Hey psycho, hostel world often doesn't have all of the available bookings a hostel has. Find out the hostels in the area and just call them up and then you can often find a booking plus you often get a cheaper rate than the hostel world one.
