I plan on getting every single one of these I see sitting on the side of the road as garbage until everyone in my house has one if they want it because they are incredibly easy to modify and they last so long on 36v with at least a 350w,basic controller setup that range isn't a issue for us. I'm 225 and I ride around with my 3 year old daughter easily except for the brakes.....parts have been ordered, thanks!
My ebike has mechanical disk brakes front and rear and I've been wanting to increase the disks from 160mm to 180mm or 203mm and was a little sceptical about getting units that will work on my ebike. I imagine these things are all pretty much standard and watching your video, I think I can tackle the job, so thanks for the inspiration!
@@BRichSolution nah leave ot stock for kids! Adults need to move up and buy big boy toys! Hahaha. You all crazy! No way in hell I modifi for my kid ! Dam thing has no suspension and not designed for high speed.
Zoom brakes bolt right on mx650 and mx500 you need replace stock rotors with thinner rotors for the zoom brakes; see video linked below ruclips.net/video/rBJ2z1ujeRg/видео.html
Been enjoying your pocket mod videos. So with the parts where did you put the freewheel hubs? Doesn’t the brake set come with calipers? Not sure what the extra rear caliper is for?
@@BRichSolutionI know you put disc brakes on. On your parts list you have a caliper by itself and a brake set that comes with a caliper? You need 2 calipers? I just know nothing about this.
tried your method with 12" hub motor but can't get it to work. every time I hit the brakes the wheels come off the frame even with torque arms attached. I'm beyond annoyed.
yep hitting the brakes creates too much torque somehow. I was sitting on it only going 5mph or less and when I hit the brakes the adapter and wheel came detached from frame of the scooter and bent the drop outs @@BRichSolution
@@BRichSolution okay thanks man Good video btw very well explained. Please do more videos update to see how it keeps up razor community is fun I got my sister into now lol

I love the pocket mod frame and everything about the pocket mod actually. I modded my pocket mod with dual motors dual controllers dual batteries and it topped out at 102 mph this was last year. This year I did an upgrade for a customer and his pocket mod topped out at 112 mph.

Great goal for 2024
Killer man!!! Right on time for my 60v 1020+ build, can't wait, great video!!
60V will rip

Glad it was helpful
Very good video everything clear i can actually hear you and see what your doing perfect thank you
Glad to help
Thanks for this! My drum brake was not handling the 52v battery i slapped on this thing 😅
Glad I could help. Drum brakes scary above 15 mph
thank you for this video it was really helpful and im devinitly going to do this to my build
Glad it helped
where did you get the headlight and horn?
See video for headlight and horn links in description below video

Not even necessarily! The stock brakes work perfectly fine! Thosbis a totally a waist of money in my opinion for a kids scooter! hahaha
Naw dawg that stock drum brake is dangerous at speeds above 12 mph
If you're ripping it at 30mph with a 48v battery on big hills the stock ones will get cooked in no time lol

How can I add the same brakes to the front wheel? Would replacing front wheel with a rear wheel help? Probably too wide?
I think so not sure. Check facebook group
Good video keep up the great videos
Thanks
Do I get the 22mm or 31.8?
22mm bracket see full parts list on amazon with links to all products used: amzn.to/49mS6ba
Do you know if this specific frame adapter works with the zoom hydraulic brakes? Or maybe like stock mx650 brakes?
Zoom brakes bolt right on mx650 and mx500 you need replace stock rotors with thinner rotors for the zoom brakes; see video linked below

Freewheel is in sprocket with chain. I changed the brakes from drum to hydraulic disc brskes

Did u not watch? He said to get the 180mm rotors because the 160mm were to small@@jeffmoen8563

I understand and the 12” hub motor slides out of the dropouts in the frame?

If i use a mechanic brake line, how to do i hook it up to the black bracket?
If you use mechanical brake line with mechanical caliper or zoom hb100 caliper the mount brakes is the same as hydraulic brakes in this video
Would this setup work on an mx350
Yes works for mx350
Did you try this setup on the MX350? If so, do you have any extra insight for someone wanting to do this?
Is there a possible bolt on upgrade for the front tire? 🤔 I shall search!
Call or txt msg razor for new wheels or look on Pocket Mod forum on Facebook
Nice brake upgrade. Will these breaks work with razor eco smart or razor e300
yes
@@BRichSolution okay thanks man

Is there a lot of difference in the brake types?
The stock brakes are not good and dangerous. Upgrading to disc brakes is massive improvement
@@BRichSolution Do you think it's worth adding front brake as well?
Put something on the top part of light make it face down 👍🏻
It doesnt project, need to smoke lens to tone it down
you only twisted on the rotor wouldnt it untwist when braking?
No
Brakes opposite direction and tightens the rotor
I was curious should I use the aluminum mount for the razor e300 or the bar clamp mount? I'm kinda new to this kinda stuff
E300?
@BRichSolution yeah the e300 razor electric scooter
Will these work on an mx650🤔
Yes, see my mx650 mx500 video with hydraulic brake upgrade ruclips.net/video/rBJ2z1ujeRg/видео.htmlsi=AlHnj9sRvGCvcGu9

180mm as linked below in description of video
