Aidan Umpherson For obvious reasons I don't want to let myself get excited for a kickstarter game. If it ends up being great then I'll be happy but I'm not betting on it.
Another tall thing to climb like a real tall mountain would've been awesome. Imagine the view from another structure as tall as the Shrine of Worship. Or hell, being able to explore the deeper parts of the map past the death planes. Like some of the beaches, under 16's bridge, the ravines/deep water surrounding the Shrine, the bottom of some waterfalls, there's so much that could've been expanded, if only to explore.
@@aidanumpherson I already got the platinum trophy for "Praey For The Gods" & had a blast solving every puzzle, collecting every item, unlocking & exploring every inch of that map, including exploring some forbidden areas that were a bit trick to get too. It's amazing what the 3 dev's accomplished with that game. It needs more love & a physical release. Definitely a nice spiritual successor to "Shadow Of The Colossus".
Amazing stuff as usual Nomad. You know, I think the Forbidden Lands is one of the most interesting maps/locations in all of video games. It's so serene and it all looks so meticulously crafted that the lands look like a sacred region, like some divine force sculpted out the area long ago only for it to be abandoned and forgotten to time as generations passed. I think Bluepoint really helped to accentuate this feeling with the higher graphical fidelity of the remake, but it's also a little sad too when you think about how maybe the Forbidden Lands were not fully realized due to hardware restrictions at the time that Team Ico made the original game. Without restrictions there may have been snowy or fiery regions, colossi on high-up plateaus, colossi you fight on sheer mountain faces, who knows what we might have seen? And even if the Forbidden Lands were revisited by Team Ico themselves today and given some sort of revision or expansion, who's to say the land would be fully realized even then? The game and its world are products of the time it was made in, and I doubt even the minds who originally brought it to us could reproduce and expand upon its grandeur with modern conventions, with the amount of time that's passed since. In some ways that's sad but maybe that's why they are the Forbidden Lands. Maybe it's meant to be that way. Seems fitting to me.
The game might be a product of it's time, but that certainly didn't stop it from capturing the hearts & minds of so many fans. SONY is very aware of the lasting appeal this game has. There is a good chance we will get a sequel at some point, or at the very least a director's cut which of course would not just include the missing 8 colossi & (hopefully) access to the very top of the temple, but also some new areas on the map too.
How cool would it be for there to be a random hidden colossus which would spawn after you get a message saying "you shouldn't be here", kinda like the anti-piracy scorpion in serious sam
Why does this remind me a bit of the Griffen’s arena from the cut colossi vid I might be crazy also 6:44 doesn’t that kinda look like a walkway you’d see in a canyon/large cave ?
I been finding new out of bound areas with super jumps without a turbo controller and just a plain PS4, imagine if I had a turbo controller. XD BTW, does this hawk flying thing work with the default settings with a turbo controller?
I recently purchased a turbo attachement for my PS4 controller & I've been having a great time exploring areas you normally can't access. It took me many years to finally decide to get one, but I'm so glad I did. As for the hawk humping, for me it's been sort of a hit & miss when doing it. Sometimes I can stay on a hawk & continue to ascend until all but a spec of my grip meter is gone, yet other times I let go while barely a 100 or so feet in the air.
I doubt Nomad would do that. I know I certainly wouldn't. My PS2 & PS3 are still hooked up to my TV & a copy of the game sits right next to each console. When it comes to playing the game I do spend most of my time on the PS4 remake, but every now & then I like to experience the Forbidden Lands the way it originally looked & sounded.
@@tactical_slime4608 Very true. Not long ago I found the number 24 etched on a rock near colossus 14. I had covered that area many times yet it took 4 years to finally notice it. Just more proof that even after 17 years, the "Forbidden Lands" still holds new things to find for the most dedicated of "Secret Seekers".
I don't think you can get up there via other means as the whole area is surrounded by an invisible wall that hugs the top of the cliffs. Same goes with the E5 Autumn forest embankments.
I will never get tired of exploring the forbidden lands and watching you do the same. Please don't stop!
Excellent. Now that I think about it, a Colossi up on a high mountain or maybe even a snowy region would've been really cool. Great work.

I'm good with not exploring anymore deep waters. 7 still makes me uneasy.

Its a shame that the place isnt really meant for people to go. Its gorgeous!

Cybrisk Well said. The lands live on in our minds, however :)

Also, Wander's sandals are the loudest pair of sandals ive ever heard. Its like they have a huge heel.
I'm actually amazed at just how much area up here is explorable without falling through the map.
Even when there's no leftover content to discover, Nomad Colossus is still finding ways to capture our interest
Man, It's like a blast from the past seeing content like this.
I have to admit, I kind of wish Bluepoint would have included some of the Beta land masses like the Dam (modern textures and all) for kicks.
Chris L For real. They should know how much this community loves hunting the Forbidden Lands for things.

At 5:24 there is a face in the rock watching you with disapproval. That's the best you'll get unfortunately
It's amazing how they created so much AND limit the player to stick in the plot.
Awesome!

I already like in your videos, even before watching, Nomad 😉👍
Man can't wait until we find a way over to the former dam area and see if that's still around
never stop
Good Job Master!

Nice place Master!
Ooooh!! 😀

Wow this is cool

What tha.... Maaaaan this is very cool
Nomad, have you finally laid the PS2 version to rest?
That will never happen!
that game has been taken apart to it's smallest details and we are still find things
I doubt Nomad would do that. I know I certainly wouldn't. My PS2 & PS3 are still hooked up to my TV & a copy of the game sits right next to each console. do you think there is anything else left to find nomad?
I will always find something... however trivial.
Please do a Video where you Explore A1
Wow. It's certainly a lot more to look at than it was in the original. Are there still any legitimate ways to get up there?
I don't think you can get up there via other means as the whole area is surrounded by an invisible wall that hugs the top of the cliffs. Same goes with the E5 Autumn forest embankments.
That's a shame. Oh well, it's still pretty cool.
Nice 👌 👍
As much as I love this game and apreciate your work, this just makes no sense. Hope you have your fun tho. :)
