I have seen many Subaru's do way better than this, but if you're going to put a STI against a GTR on a straight track the GTR is going to have the upper hand. On a windy 'back road' type track the Subaru will have the upper hand, so basically it's a no brainer why the GTR won, but then again on a windy road/track the Subaru would most likely have the advantage.

Y10Q Not really, but drag racing is not what the Subaru was made for. Everything about the Subaru was made for fast times attacks off-road. The Nissan GTR was made to just be fast on the road. Lining them up on a drag immediately puts the STi at a disadvantage because the GTR was built for it. Then you get a bunch of fanboys coming from 30 million miles away claiming "This proves that the GTR is better in every way than the STi." Or "That Subaru lost because the GTR cheated." Or maybe even "I could have beat the GTR if I was in that Subaru." Which proves my point they don't know anything about these cars. But, I will say the driver was even slow off the line because he didn't launch properly with enough boost. This race was for fun. Not only does the WRX make way less power but it’s only a single turbo flat 4 vs a twin turbo inline 6. Also the car is much newer than that WRX and they’re for completely different categories. Rally and track.
